My wife's One appears to be bricked. A couple of nights ago she rolled over in the middle of the night, picked it up off the nightstand to check the time and the screen just went black. The power button is totally non-responsive. I've had it on the charger for the last 36 hours, but still nothing. The phone is S-OFF and was running Bad Boys 1.0. I'm fairly certain there's nothing anyone can do, but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask.
If anyone has any suggestions or tips, I'd love to hear them.
have you tried holding the phone under bright light and tried to turn it on? I've had issues before with it not powering up and that fixed it. It's one of those weird things, but that's HTC for you. Make sure the sensor is right under the bulb and try that.
Good luck

I've read that too, but completely forgot to give that a try. I left the phone at work sitting on the charger, but will try it first thing in the morning.
Thanks!
Did you try the good ole hold power button for 10 secs rule?

Also, the hold-it-up-to-the-light trick didn't help either.

Sorry for the long absence. I just moved and having problems with my ISP (Yes, I tried Internet Sharing; connection too slow for updates.).
As soon as I get a connection I will begin work on my latest version of ICP-Touch.....
or, just to screw around.
BTW: My phone met a tile floor yesterday, the top half separated from the bottom half and buttons on the touchscreen are pressed randomly if the phone is jarred. Oh, and no signal at all.
Thank God for phone insurance!

Hello,
About 1 month ago i installed BIFF (android 2.2) on my G1. All worked fine till the day that my G1 went black. First i was tought it was just a hang up and pulled the battery but that had no effect. Now i only get a black screen with background light when i boot.
Sometimes i get recovery but that also freezes after some seconds.
Is there anything i can do or try to fix it?
uhhhm you can try to un-root than re-root maybe something went wrong last time... or maybe you can mess around with adb.. im no expert with that though i would just un-root and start over... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=491350

My Samsung Galaxy S Advance (GT-I9070) suddenly auto shutdown whenever i turn it on. I have tried flashing stock firmware using Odin but it didn't helped. Seems like the only thing i can do is booting phone in the download mode. And as i already told, i flashed stock firmware but nothing happened and it's still performing the same as before.
I hope you people understood the problem clearly. However, if you need any further information, please ask and i will answer you.
Regards
Does it work when plugged into a charger? The battery might be failing as it's probably old already.

When i plug it into a charger, it auto restarts (restart loop).
It also happened to me. The way, I repaired this, is a connnecting a external battery charger e.g.

You mean, all i have to do is charging the battery 100% in an external charger?
Yes, that's it. Sorry for late reply.
Hi,
I bought my NOTE 8 one moth ago.
And yesterday my screen seemed to have broken...
It just happened while I was on the screen, there was no drop or hit.
The screen went green, lost all color and contrast, it seems almost like white with some green color.
I've tried everything. Cache partition wipe, factory reset, flashing android with odin again, etc. Nothing works.
The strange thing is that the Always On screen works like always, screen is fine. But when I wake up the phone it goes green again.
It happened few days after I updated from android 8 to android 9 using Odin.
Any idea how to fix it?

The battery lamp lights up when connected to the power supply. The screen remains black.

You can't go to bootloader screen ?
I'm able to go to the bootloader screen today. I couldn't turn on the phone and go to bootloader for 2 weeks, but I am able to start it today.
I don't know what's going on. The only thing I know is that the battery has been completely discharged in two weeks.
I started normally after factory reset, but I couldn't reach the home screen because the power went down when reboot android.
I can just display the bootloader screen!
