Is it possible? A click sort of sound to be heard every time I press the screen while browsing on the phone?

Not for regular taps. While typing, yes. Some apps allow for haptic feedback that causes a vibrate, but for sound, none that I can think of.

HTC One Soundprofiles

Hey,
just wanted to ask a question concerning a slight issue I'm having with my HTC One.
With my SGS3 I was used to simply shut of all sounds and vibration during work/school, so that there are no vibration sounds while lying on my desk. Then, I would want to put it back into "only sound mode", so to have no annoying vibration sounds while lying on my desk, but just sound.
In order to do this, I have to check all apps and disable vibration in those apps, am I right? Like disabling vibration in whatsapp, facebook messenger etc.
But then my problem is, that when I want to add vibration when carrying it around in my pocket, I would need to add again vibration in every single app?
In fact, I would like to have a completely silent profile (no vibration, no sounds), a vibration only profile, and a sound only profile. Is this in any way possible to achieve?
Thanks in advance,
Ben

I'll bump this as well. Has anyone found any nonrooted solution to this yet? I DLed Sound Profiles from Play, but that didn't seem to do what I wanted.
Thanks
Open options, click Sound, Profiles are right there (Normal,Vibration and Silent).

Normal includes vibration. There is no option for Sound but No Vibration. Driving me crazy!

Well, you can go to Settings / Sounds and turn off vibration during calls. I think that would shut it off.
Also, you can disable vibration in the power saver menu, even if that is all you shut off.

Turning off in calls doesn't turn it off in Notifications.
The downside to the power saver option is then I can't have haptic feedback on capacitive buttons.

The power save option to turn off vibration feedback doesn't affect the buttons?
EDIT: I'm not sure I entirely understand. But I'm using the Business calendar application for the reminders, and it has full control of vibration.

[Q] Mute from lockscreen - screen off?

Hi, I am not sure if this is possible but better to ask anyway.
Sometimes I like to have a radio app playing and I need to MUTE it, but the screen is off and locked and I don't want to fumble with the S4 Active's sticky volume button (is yours 'sticky'? my volume rocker loves to zoom up and down with a slight push),
just mute/unmute without hitting menu/enter code/swipe or some other combination of keys.
I thought maybe it could be done through that "headphone jack button" accessory but that is not really what I am looking for.
Something akin to the gesture of flipping the phone face down to stop the ringing. or swiping your hand over the screen to mute/pause, but that only works on certain apps and when the screen is on. I want a function like this with the screen OFF.
Any suggestions?

Have you tried Tasker? Are you familiar with it at all? If you want, I could try to create something for you. What is the app so I can test to see if it works?

I am answering my own question with this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2492565
Doesn't work with everything but it is a great start!
Thanks :good:

Volume buttons can be pressed with screen off.

Hello.
I've had this problem for a while now but can't fix it.
Basically my volume buttons can change the volume of my phone even though the screen is off and "locked" (just lockscreen).
I can't imagine this is meant to be like this? It means my phone goes to full silent all the time when it's just in my pocket.
I think the problem came with lollipop because this introduced volume change from vibrate to silent mode by pressing the volume down button.. apparently in my pocket only the volume down button is pushed - and why I never noticed it on kitkat.
Thanks

So you have this 'problem' as well? It's not a bug on only my phone?

its not a bug just the option that you can control the volume even if the phone is locked
You should not wear those skinny jeans!
Never ever had this kind of problem since the Zs` volume buttons are quite unlikely to be pressed unintentionally.

Why would you ever want to control the volume if your phone is locked? It only allows for unwanted volume change

I don't have skinny jeans at all and it happens around 5x per day if I'm walking a lot.

For example if you are listening to music and you dont want to pull the phone out of your pocket.
Maybe there is something with the vol button sensitivity

Ok sure but that's media volume not ringer volume. They are separate.
Anyway I wrote a tasker script to force lock my volume when screen is on but locked. And it disables this force lock when screen is unlocked. Tasker to the rescue once again

what the vol buttons depend on is what you are currently using for example: If you are using the Music app then the control the media vol and if you dont use anything then they control the ringer vol but nevertheless I am glad you found a solution

Exactly.
So it should be: when using music, allow volume buttons. If no music: lock buttons.

Screen Timeout During Calls (speakerphone/bluetooth/headphones)

I use the phone a lot handsfree for work and it bugs me when the screen times out and locks on a handsfree call. I can't then easily mute, unmute, look at call durations, enter digits etc. without interacting with the phone in a clunky manner.
As an example i might be on a long conference call on speakerphone, mute my audio input to get up and walk around a little and then have to quickly unmute. To do this i have to press the side volume button and then the on screen unmute which sounds easy but can make for an awkward second or so of silence.
Basically i want the screen to stay on when in call and the proximity sensor detects it's not against my face.
Samsung has a phone app option for this i remember (keep screen on during calls).
Any suggestions ?

Use a bluetooth earpiece/headset and add that as a trusted device. All the time it is on and connected the phone won't lock. Then just set screen sleep to something more appropriate like 5 minutes..
you could try something like this:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ndtsoft.sensor&hl=en
i haven't tried it, but i think it could solve your problem
EDIT: i just tried an app called "WaveUP" and it did the trick. also has a lot of other cool features, as well.

Question Dnd mode - notifications won't turn on screen

Hello,
I have latest Xiaomi.eu rom and when I activate do not disturb mode, the screen won't wake up neither on incoming calls or any notifications.
Does anybody have the same issues, how can I fix it, please?
That's what you want and for! No disturbances.
You can set calls to come through if in your favs or if it is a repeated call for example. For me and is exactly as it should be

Maybe I don't have to use Dnd mode, but I want to use phone in three modes. Ringing+vibrations, vibrations only and no ringing and no vibrations, but with screen awake. So how can I set up the third without still having to go to the menu for turning the vibrations on/off for silence mode?
Thank you

Can you not just use pull down menu and turn off sound and vibration when you want silence? Saves going in to menu each time.

Yes, maybe that would be the way. Thank you
