[Q] Fuzzy camera on some texts - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I recently had to send back my HTC One because of the camera having problem with purple/reddish tint. Just recently my camera is now having problems focusing and is incredibly blurry to the point where I cannot read "small text".
I just took this recently from my text book, the text is incredibly blurry.

Here's another one that is clear.
I have tried refocusing, but it just gets blurier.

Bump anyone? I heard people having problems similar, but nobody has posted photos. Should I just send this thing back again?

Try another camera app. It's look like a focusing problem. Try focusing touching the screen. In camera settings, choose macro or text mode.

Tried all of that :/ Here's an attempt in Camera Zoom FX, which I guess is supposedly the best camera app out there. Is it possible that there's a hardware problem making it unable to focus on text?

You get that problem only focusing on text? May be a hardware problem if not focusing everything ..

Yeah that's the weird part, maybe it's not focusing larger text (my previous picture on the whiteboard as an example) but since it's larger it's harder to notice. I'll just talk to the warranty and send it back again.

[Q] Blue dots when recording video

Do you guys maybe have a screen problem? I mean, go to hidden menu and make a display test, or simply upload a black, a white, a green and maybe a red picture to your phone. If you also see the spots there, you got dead pixels, otherwise, maybe ur cam is dirty?
or maybe you see "camera noise"

No It's not dead pixels, just when taking pictures with the camera.
no, not dead pixels, its something with the camera. I've searched on the web and i found problems like this at many other phones. But just in low light environment, so i guess its hardware. I'm using zeus v6.39 but i dont think its software , or could i be wrong?
Here is an example

Same here. But I think is software, I have the same problem with stock-based ROMs. Now I'm using CM7 and I don't have this issue.
Sorry for bad english

[Q] Possible to abandon UltraPixels boosting the camera resolution of HTC One?

I have got the HTC One from the end of May. But I still have some questions on my phone's "UltraPixels" Camera.
I wonder whether this technology is a software adjustment or a hardware settings?
4 MegaPixels should be all right for daily usage, but I always like to pinch to zoom my photos while browsing.
HTC One failed to reveal some details in the picture comparing to Samsung GS4 or Sony Xperia Z. I want to ask if it is possible to abandon the UltraPixels technology to boost the camera resolution to 8MP or even 13MP? Any app can do it?
Attaching my photo taken using ultraPixel HTC One at Hong Kong IFC Centre!

I believe it's hardcoded into the sensor that it only uses 4 mp for the image, while the rest of the pixels on the sensor used solely for exposure and gathering light

The phone only has 4 megapixels
They are larger than your regular phone megapixels, there isn't separate sensors for gathering light since that's how all camera work in the first place.
So to the OP, no.. Do some research on how these things work. Really.

You need to learn how to take pictures with the One because the pictures you have posted are terrible quality and the first is washed out. You're always best to focus on the sky and underexpose the rest of the shot and then edit in Photoshop or something because the quality of pictures I've taken are way, way, way better than them lol

Camera with Pink Screen. PLZ Help

Did this happen to any one. I was using my camera to record video in the dark. Suddenly the screen of the camera turned a pink color. If i turn the light on it goes away, but when i turn the light off, the screen goes pink again and it takes pink pictures in the dark. Its only happens when I have the camera on and only on the main back facing camera. Did any one else deal with this and was able to fix it?
Here is day and night pictures.

I'd be more concerned with the lack of focus in your pictures. I've just sent mine back because it took blurry shots like yours all the time, unless I did a close up/Macro.

Camera problems, seems like stuck in macro mode.

I am having problems with my camera.
I can't focus on objects that are far away.
But I can focus perfectly in close objects.
:banghead:
This is a pic taking from far. Tried to focus on the car outside.

Once again tried to focus on the bookshelf.
Here I try to focus on something close. Works perfectly.
Again
I tried everything. Restored, erased camera data etc. Nothing seems to work.
Is it a software or hardware problem ?
I can add more pictures if needed.

Try to reset all the camera settings and see if it helps, if not you could try factory resetting the entire device. If that doesn't help it 'might' be dead pixels on the sensor/sensors.

it may be the phone motherboard has failed.
Recommended to go after-sales service to ask for help.
Motherboard? I dont think so. This problem is only with camera app. Not on screen in any other app. Why motherboard. It seem mote like a sensor camera issue. The phone is 4 month old. That why i never renonce to samsung and go with Huawei. Chines alwais use cheap material and go for premium device.
