I use PlayerPro to do that. Open playerpro, then long press in any music then choose "use as ringtone", that's it. I think all the players has that option or maybe I'm wrong

When taking a video with the stock rom the phone plays a sound when starting and ending the recording. It does this even when the phone is set top silent. Is there a way to make it obey my volume settings? If not how can I disable the sounds?
Thanks
Michael

I think you can go to /system/media/ui and delete the audiofiles for camera sounds.
in stock rom I had a setting for disabling sound, are you sure you don't have that?

You can't do this easily. AndiCP made a camera mod that is silent, search in app section, but keep a nandroid backup before flashing it, and I don't remember if it is adapted for stock ROM.
Camera.apk has all sounds.
You can mod by yourself or use Andicp's mod.

I'm guessing you need to reboot since the OS might have preloaded the file on its buffer.
All - you do no this sound (pic/vid) is required by law in some countries right?

My device is rooted and I want to know how to backup the playlist in poweramp?
Solved! Just discovered that under settings>Folders/Library, there is an option called music folders which you can select the folders you don't want to scan.

But you solve your problem about backing up the custom playlists created on PowerAmp? I would like to know how.
There is an option in settings to export playlists. How do people miss this?

Hi
i have "DSP-Manager", "MusicFX" & "Equalizer" checked out... and with each app i have a problem...
if i open another ram intensiv app, while music playes, the equalizer app will be stopped!
everytime i set the eq settings to havy bass, i be numbed if the music squalls in my ears
how can i prevent to get deaf?
thanks in advance!
That apps are conflicting because do the same thing. Keep just one of that app at the time.
