If you have a nandroid backup you can go to advanced restore within the recovery and then check "restore data" (or similar). If you don't have any backup, like @zolaisugly already mentioned, your data is gone.

After quite a few number of flashing ROMs, i usually backup all the necessary files and factory reset with total SD format.
The files .prop is necessary only if you want use Backup/Restore function in Aroma for restore or backup your choice..
The file .zip only if you want modify something in future...
File .img is a backup for efs sometimes is necessary for restore it...
other files are log of Rom you can delete them
Hi!
I messed something with my system. It's still working, it's not that bad, but i want to sort the mess out.
I upgraded to CM 10.1, and I didn't like it, so I used backup of stock JB from clockwork recoverymod (gboot).
Well, Android 4.2 messed something with my SD cards (external and the phone memory), from nearly 10 GB in the phone memory it became 1,5GB. I know that 4.2 implements new way of management of user memory, but I still can't comprehend this management (probably messed because of the restore I made).
Also, app for the NFC doesn't work (I tried to replace it and now NFC is not working completely).
I would really like to go back to the beginning and try again from the stock JB. Is the proper solution to flash the original 4.1.2 using KDZ?
Thanks in advance for solutions
Yes.

hahahah, this.
Well, i know that if u flash CM after having stock, then all things u hah on internal storage before, are in data/media. And if u roll out to stock from CM again, they're existing in folder named 0
Okay, and if I flash the stock JB using kdz, it will solve the problem of the SD cards, and it will recover all system apps?
yes
Well, it didn't work. Only restored system apps I deleted (nfc was just not working, the app wasn't deleted) and didn't help with the memory neither.
to wipe /data AND internal storage:
(user apps, system settings, user data, internal storage get deleted)
stock recovery: choose option 'factory reset'
cwm: mount --> format /data
twrp: wipe --> /data
factory reset option in cwm and twrp doesnt touch the internal storage
another option is to copy everything from /data/media/0 to /data/media if you want to keep ur files or entirely remove everything inside /data/media/ if you dont care.
with installing cm10.1, it moved everything from /data/media to /data/media/0
kdz flash doesnt wipe /data. be sure you perform a factory reset with stock recovery after kdz flash

Hey i have just made a backup of my system and saved it on external sdcard using CWM. now after unlocking BL and installing a custom kernel, if i restore this image, will it work? i am asking this as i know unlocking BL will erase my internal sdcard, but i don't want to lose anything. so i am planning to install a custom kernel and then restore the backup image. is this possible? and would i retain all my data using this method?
By restoring your cwm backup you will over write any data that was on the phone either in system or data.
If you got root before you do anything else use titanium backup or backup pro and backup your aps and data.
Move these to PC with anything else that shows up on internal SD card.
Then you can restore your cwm then move back to phone your app backup and restore these. DON'T RESTORE SYSTEM APPS THIS MIGHT CAUSE BOOTLOOP.
By doing any of this is will not affect your kernel/unlock state.

So i ahve been using titanium backup for some time now as the years have gone by this product has just gotten over all better with being able to cloud store and backup on the go with a push of a button my question is and i may not being doing it right how does one back up the data as well (meaning the APK and data) or is this not possible and can only be done via nandriod backup?
You can backup and restore with data. Just check your preferences in TiBu, backup with external data, and restore with external data. I always restore my data (obviously not system apps), never had an issue once.
