Hey guys, I am really desperate for some help here with my phone...
I had converted my phone to a Google Edition phone, and forgot it made me lose root access. I then flashed CWM back on to my phone because I wanted to try out Sense again with Kitkat, and attempted to flash Android Revolution, possibly without root access.
I'm now unable to boot my phone, OR access recovery - even after trying to reflash both CWM and TWRP.
I'm really worried I may have bricked my One!
Can anyone help me out, please?
Sorry...false alarm.
I wasn't clearing the cache before reflashing the recovery. I was able to get into TWRP after clearing cache with fastboot commands.. :/ heh

hey,
I'm a newbie over here! but i do know basic flashing of ROMS and recoveries and zips. I have a htc one 801e. and i think i bricked my phone. i was running android revolution HD 12.0 (4.2.2 ROM). i successfully unlocked my bootloader, rooted it, and flashed the latest CWM Touch recovery and even achieved s-off and Super CID through revone. i also have set up the ADB on my mac. (I am a MAC USER btw). I was having alotta GPS problem lately and so i decided to wipe my data, relock and re-root. (as i tried everything possible with the GPS problem, but to factory reset to stock RUU and re-root the device once again.) but sadly, in the process, I wiped off all the partitions, even the system partition. I tried rebooting many times but i cannot go past the Boot animation. obviously cus i wiped everything. i dont have anything on the sd card as well. I am just left with a bootloader now. (relocked bootloader. i tried fastboot and adb commands and mistakenly relocked it.) and a CWM touch recovery. i cannot access the storage on my phone. please someone help me? what can I do now to unbrick it? im on a mac! please? any help would be appreciated! :crying:

Hi guys i have a big problem with my phone htc one m7
i was flashing my phone with a 4.4 viperone rom, and performed a nandorid back up prior to the flash.
Installation failed and i was forced to reboot the phone, now when it loads it brings up TWRP for a few seconds and loops.
is there anything I can do to resolve this ? i cant get into recovery itself to flash a custom Rom but can access HBOOT 1.44.
i have S-On.
any help would be greatly appreciated, have i bricked this phone if i cant get into the recovery or it doesn't load ?
thanks so much

First if you want help, change your thread title to something more specific like: ''Help - bootlooping after custom rom flash''
Did you wiped cache? What version of twrp are you using?

Thanks very much for getting back to me, after 12 long hours of research and getting my head around it, i finally found a solution!
In a nut shell this is what i did to resolve the issue:
installed ADB and Fastboot drivers
flashed a recovery img using fastboot
in recovery TWRP, used ADB to push a custom rom to my sd card
flashed with custom recovery and installed OS
What wasnt made clear was the fact that you need to be in a custom recovery (TWRP or CWM) in order for the ADB drivers to work. I was stuck for a number of hours troubleshooting why fastboot would detect my device (fastboot devices) and ADB wouldnt! It was only when i had my phone connected to my windows machine and phone was in TWRP, i could talk to my device and run adb shell, and adb push.
thank god that little cookie is over, heart attack and a loss of my Sunday, but all good now
Hi, I have tried being clever and rooting my HTC ONE Mini, which all went perfectly well. Unlocked Bootloader and installed TWRP.
I found a radio update on a website and tried installing it, with S-ON. As you can imagine I am not stuck in Bootloop.
I somehow managed to wipe all the data off my phone and sdcard too.
So I am stuck with a phone in bootloop with recovery from TWRP.
Everytime i try and fastboot flash any file even an Android ROM.zip it doesnt like it. I am novice at this so you are probably reading this and think what is he doing.
Can someone help me or guide me to getting my phone back and running again. Please??

You can't use fastboot to flash a rom.zip! It must be pushed to your phone (use either adb push or adb sideload from recovery) and installed from custom recovery.
Btw this is the wrong forum for your device. Htc one mini forum is here
Hey guys, I updated my mom's Nexus 6 OTA to 7 point something and it was working at first but after a month, idk what happened but the phone is in a bootloop now. The Nexus Root Toolkit doesn't work as it requires the bootloader to be unlocked and this was a completely stock phone. HALP

Wipe cashes in the recovery, if it doesn't help flash latest factory image without userdata

In my experience with bootloops is that when you you update to an new ROM sometimes the kernel gets affected in the process. It's happened to me a few times but my phone is rooted so I do a lot more flashing and updating.
It's an easy fix tho, use the Toolkit and open the Launch screen look at the top middle and there should be a tab for flashing the boot.img, in your case since your on stock ROM just restore the image file for the build number that is currently running. So if you just updated to Android N, the build number will start with an N. The toolkit will install the correct file to restore the phone back to normal working order.
His bootloader is locked, thus he can't use the toolkit or fastboot.
@xida1125: Enter into the recovery and wipe the cache. That may fix the bootloop. If it doesn't, download the latest OTA and sideload it. Be prepared for the possibility of having to factory reset the device if nothing else works.

I'm gonna try that tonight, not sure how to sideload it but I'm sure I'll figure it out. I already gave my mom my Nexus 6P to use and she likes it because it has a better camera. I tried factory reset in bootloader but it didn't do anything. Forgot to try and go into recovery menu.
If you've switched devices with your Mom, you can probably factory reset in recovery without issue. Sideloading an OTA is reasonably easy. Download the OTA, move it to internal storage, and from recovery there should be a menu option to sideload the OTA.
Once you've gotten everything fixed, dig into the developer options and enable oem unlocking in both the N6 and the N6P. Doing so will not unlock the bootloader, but will give you the opportunity to unlock the bootloader if the need or want arises in the future.

-Tried going into recovery via bootloader, just bootlooped
-Tried factory reset in boatloader, doesn't do anything
I don't think I can sideload can I? I can't even get to recovery menu...
Based upon your descriptions, it's sounding more and more likely that you have a dead emmc chip. In other words, hardware failure.

May you try the steps without a inserted simcard, otherwise I hope for you it's not the hardware

OK... Here we go...
You have fastboot and adb on your computer?
Boot to fastboot... On your phone
Use fastboot to wipe userdata and cache... (I forget the commands... Google is your friend)
Try and boot... Be patient... It's gotta rebuild ART... Will take some time
If no boot...
I THINK... THINK (repeated because I don't know for sure) you can flash the factory images without unlocking the bootloader... Because they are signed by Google...
FWIW... It's something on your data partition... Or in cache...
It sounds like the phone shutdown while writing to disk...
As long as you haven't done something really dumb... Like wiping boot, aboot, system, etc... You should be able to bring it back...
Also... There is a fastboot command that will tell you partitions on the device... Not sure if the N6 has the command... That would give you more information...
This... Is a textbook example of why you shouldn't use toolkits... You're stuck... And haven't read enough or experimented enough to know how to fix your device...
Hey everyone I just recently got a Moto X Pure with TWRP recovery already installed and the bootloader unlocked, unrooted. The phone was stuck on Marshmallow so I went to update and it would take me to TWRP recovery every time and when I reboot back into the system, I'm still stuck on Marshmallow. So I downloaded an app that would make me download OTA updates while still having TWRP recovery but it needed root access, which I didn't have. I tried all of the one-click root apps but non worked then I stumbled across an easy root method: ( oops it said I can't post links, but basically I downloaded a supersu zip and flashed it) which I followed very precisely and I'm pretty sure I did nothing wrong. But when I flashed the ZIP using TWRP and booted back into system it was stuck on the Motorola logo which I'm assuming is bootloop. I was going to download a stock recovery using fastboot but I discovered that it would relock the bootloader, which would render the device useless to me so I can't. I also tried wiping the Dalvrik Cache but it always failed. I'm new to all of this so please guys I'm desperate for help. Thanks in advance
