Hi,
I rooted my phone with latest version of Unrevoked but have noticed some strange things with phone since.
Can someone please tell me how i unroot the phone?
I got a HTC Wildfire Vodaphone UK. It's only a few days old and it's causes power on problems since rooting, really desperate to unroot the phone.
I have only rooted the phone and NOT installed any roms or anything, after rooting the phone i made a nandroid backup, maybe i need to do something with this backup to revert phone back to how it was when i bought it a few days ago?
Thanks for any help really desperate to unroot
MR
There is no way to just "unroot". The only way is to reflash the phone with a totally stock software from a RUU package or similar. Search around these forums, and there are plenty of threads asking exactly the same thing as you, and these should be able to give you an idea of other people's experiences.
I am however, intrigued to find what "power on" problems you're getting. Are you referring to the bug that exists whilst charging the phone in an off state? Whilst you are rooted, before you go the extent of flashing an RUU image, it may be worth trying a custom rom (Wildpuzzle 2.1 is quite nice as a stepping stone from stock) and seeing if your bugs continue. Also, try updating ClockworkMod via ROMManager.
Hi,
The problem I am having is when the phone is connected to laptop and is set to charge only and I turn the phone off I cannot then turn the phone back on unless I remove the battery first and cable. I used the latest version of Unrevoked so thought I would have had the latest ClockWorkMod anyway. I have looked on the forum by searching. When you say RRU do you mean a ROM from somewhere like shipped-roms? As I cannot find a Vodafone UK ROM. I decided not to Install Wildpuzzle because of the current existing bugs. I still cannot find a thread that shows me how to unroot my phone so any help in finding a Vodafone UK RRU than can be updated like normal ie get future updates from Vodafone would be great.
Please can someone help? i did search before making this thread but could not find what i was looking for.
If there is definately no Vodafone UK ROM online somewhere maybe someone can tell me which is the lastest genuine ROM from HTC that can also be updated from HTC in the future ?
Is this the one i need below?
RUU_Buzz_HTC_WWE_1.37.405.1_Radio_13.53.55.24H_3.3 5.19.25_release_151892_signed
I see one on shipped-roms for Vodafone but has SPA in it so not sure if that means it's spanish. I am in the UK
Would rather a Vodafone UK one thou.
Thanks

There is an app "z4root" . In this app is an option to un-root. I didn`t test this function but I hope it works.
Maybe you need to install busybox before you can unroot. The easiest way to install busybox is to install the app "titanium backup" first than klick in this app on the "Problems Button" for auto-installing the busybox.
Hello forums. I'm new here so I'm not sure if I am in the right section but I have a problem trying to root my phone.
My phone is an Alcatel one touch tpop and I have tried almost every single option to root my phone their is. But all keep failing. Anyone know how to root an alcatel or what am I doing wrong?
This forum is specifically for the M7 so you probably won't get much help here. I found this, which maybe you have already seen. I'm not sure this is even your exact device. There is also this which I guess means you may be out of luck.

This forum is for HTC One M7 phones, however here is a method for rooting the Alcatel One Touch. Good luck! Click on the highlighted text!
So I was trying to unlock boot loader and install tarp and root my friends HTC desire 626 ewh1 from boost like I've done a few times before. Only this time when I was done flashing it, it was stuck on HTC loop. The only thing I can access is download mode. Is there a way to fix this? I would like to still root but if I have to go back to stock then so be it...I just need to get it working again. And of course I didn't back up anything like a noob....please any help would be awesome.
Hi,
I have tried to root my sm-295 tab, but everytime it fail . I have no experince in this so i need some one to do it online for me.
Regards,
I am trying to root my old T-Mobile HTC One M7 in an attempt to run some data recovery to get back some lost photos. I am aware this will likely fail, but want to try anyway.
To do this, I need root on the phone. Ive followed some quides, ran some root apks on the phone ( Kingo Root and a couple of others ), and havent had any success. I even installed a few really sketchy programs on my PC to get it working, and no luck.
My HTC sync manager works fine, but nothing else seems to talk to the phone correctly from my PC.
Most of the guides have dead links in them, as theyre from several years ago. Some posts indicate I need an HTC specific driver, some indicate I need the github universal driver for adb bridge, some claim I can download an APK directly to the phone.
I've been looking and failing for a few days now, with no luck -
Can anybody point me to something they think will still actually work in 2022?
What is the right driver for windows 10 to get adb and other non htc sync manager connections to work with this phone.
Thanks in advance -
