Is $580 a good deal on a never opened ATT Note 3? AT&T wants like over $700 for the device outright, which is ridiculous. I had the T-Mobile Note 3, but had issues with LTE.

I feel like the luckiest guy on earth bc I bought a nexus 5 for the 350, traded to an i5c, then to a note 3. Unopened tho, yea sounds like a great deal

That's not bad at all. I want to get away from the iPhone 5S. I'm just sick of it. And I'm running iOS 7.1.
I saw a deal like this (on another forum) bought from CL that turned out to be a Chinese counterfeit, but I'd feel comfortable with Swappa.

Now that I've been successful, thought I'd share:
So I just came up for an upgrade on T-Mobile, and BestBuy.com had the GS3 T-Mobile upgrade for $179.99, so I decided "Why not sell this phone on Ebay while it's still semi-popular and get a S3?"
I called T-Mobile, got an unlock code, reverted to stock ICS, and sold my phone on Ebay for $350. After taxes, ebay+paypal fees, phone purchase+activation fee, I netted about an $80 profit after everything was said and done.
Thanks to all of the developers here for your hard work developing for the ugly stepchild of the SII line! I hope you all do well.

according to some leaked news about the next Samsung and HTC are both making each their own flavour of Nexus 5 phones
the model from Samsung it's going to be slightly inferior to the S3, but slightly better than the S2, and they finally put back the SD card, 4.8" display, slightly faster CPU as the previous Galaxy Nexus, the rest is vanilla
HTC is going to release a 5" version with supposedly 1080 display, instead of 720
it'll be interesting the kind of mess and confusion we'll see when both hits the market
Hey I think after selling my phone outright on eBay for that much I would of just found someone on Craigslist and purchased SIII outright and kept my upgrade intact. That's how you flip 'em.... Good job though and congrats

I somewhat agree with this i did the same. Sold my s2 for $320, was going to be $340, but i was a no show because of urgent matters and i gave the guy $20 discount for his troubles. Anyways bought the s3 for $400. So i paid $80 for an upgrade.
Now if you guys haven't heard. T-Mobile and asurion is cracking down on insurance fraud especially for s3. It doesn't matter if it's lost or stolen. From 1 week to 3 months, the s3 will be blacklisted if it was filed for insurance claims.
How did i reassure my purchase, I actually bought mine from the guy's house, he is actually buying the note to help him transition to the note 2. He was a really stand up guy. I asked him to hold the phone for me, and he did for 2 days. Other buyers were inquiring about it constantly but kept his word (note: the average price for s3 around my area is $450, so it's cheaply priced). He was the one who brought up insurance fraud and stuff, and he was saying how people ask him about that and he told me that's just dumb that people do that just for some quick cash. Told me not to worry that i have his number and knows where he lives so just give him a call or anything is wrong with the phone. Really cool guy, i can tell he's a phone junkie like the rest of us.
Tl:dr; insurance is blacklisting s3. If buying from CL get the guy's ID, address etc, you can judge his character, if it's sketchy, don't bother.

Lol it is, the s2 is generally selling for about 250-280 on average around my parts. So it's even better that i can sell mine for above average and buy something below market price lol.
The benefits of keeping your phone in good condition with all the box and accessories. Plus matching imei number and under warranty until february by samsung. Not sure if it carries over on T-Mobile though.
See you over on the s3 side soon lol.

I'm assuming you're kidding the s3 is fairly identical on all the major carries (besides lte capabilities). I definitely miss my Hercules but thankfully it didn't go far my girlfriend and have our upgrades staggered so I always get the new phone and she gets the hand me down. Now I just might have to sell her t989 give her the SIII and boom hello note 2!!
I was thinking of getting the note 2 or the s3 ...in Ghana here the note 2 is 1,590 cedis and the s3 1,450 cedis, so with the current exchange rate of 1$= 2¢edis that will be 725$ for the s3 and 795$ for the note.. but am still not sure as to which one to buy...its not really about the money but which one will be good. In Ghana its very difficult to buy things on eBay, cos you have to pay too much to get a credit card here and still wait forever for you item to be shipped in....have any of you tried one of these?...can you help me select...

Seriously watch this video when you have the free time. If you are not a fan of the new Nexus 4 phone or new Tablet, you are just not a tech nerd. Go get a flip phone.
The Nexus 4 is the sh!t LOL I am such a Nexus dork
I'm planning on getting the 8 Gb version as a Christmas gift for my wife. She's been stuck on a Samsung Captivate for way too long.
With the ultra low price tag for the 4 the used market for the Gnex is going to drop like a rock so I might pick up a used one
Yep! At the price I'll be ripping Googles arm off.
Anyone know when they are going to start taking preorders?
Oh man, I'm just waiting for some place to buy it from here in Poland. Probably gonna have to import it from UK, but who cares!
Size?
Phone looks good. Anybody know what actual dimensions are? (NOt just looking for screen size, that's 4.7").
Size: 133.9 x 68.7 x 9.1mm
Weight: 139g
What to do. LTE seems like a killer. As much as I stream video and music from the cloud, it seems silly not to have LTE.
How can I change to the N6? I'm on T-Mobile and just bought the Note 4 1 week ago. I still have 1 more week to return it. And after that 1 week, there's still 10 more days until the Nexus 6 comes out on T-Mobile.
I could just return the Note 4 next Friday, get another phone, and return it the day the Nexus 6 comes out, but there's a $50 restock fee. So, what ideas do you guys have?
I already sold the phone I had before the Note 4.
I really like it, but TouchWiz ruins the phone for me. It slows the phone down so much it doesn't feel like a Snapdragon 805 and 3GB of RAM. With TouchWiz, less than 1GB of RAM is available WITHOUT any apps open. And I really don't want to trip Knox for when I return the phone.
Ask your store if you can have another few weeks with Note4 until you can order the Nexus6....
Pay the damn restock fee, like a man.
You knew what you were doing buying a Note4 before the N6 announcement, accept the consequences of your choices.

hey i had a question on where i could try and find a note 4 t-mobile without buying it. i normally just look for phones on craigslist and trade some cash and my current phone, are there any other places that work like that? and as a second question is the t-mobile model's bootloader locked or no.
thanks guys.
ps. sorry if i posted in the wrong place..

What are you really try to accomplish? Nothing is for free, as far as Craigslist, that is just asking for trouble. Tmobile note4 is not locked!
i cant afford throwing out 700$ for a new phone so i normally trade for it, like i have a galaxy s5 att model and want the note 4 so i normally just trade someone my current phone along with like 300$ in cash so its not like im asking for a place to get them for free.. jeeze im 16 but im not retarded...
i just do a complete wipe of everything first of course. regardless, don't have to be so mean about it.

A Note 8 selling for $300 didn't ring red flags to you? You won't find anywhere that cheap right now a legit one. If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is.
Craigslist? Oh your screwed on getting money back. There's fishy people on there. Stay away from craigslist.
FB, Offerup, Letgo, ebay, etc way better. Some knock offs can go for a decent amount. See how much your fake one going for. Post online and let people know its fake. Might be able to get a decent amount of your money back. Seller should of told you regardless.
I’ve accepted my loss lol, I was too naive. I figured if anything someone was going to straight up rob me, not sell me a fake phone. I saw a few of them selling between 300-400, they were all probably scams. It sells for like $90. This knockoff can be used on T-Mobiles network? Might just donate it to someone.
