Hi Everyone, I have with me a HTC HTL22 which I am looking to unlock to use in UK. Unfortunately the phone does not ask for unlock code once a different sim is inserted, which if had happen this post probably won't have existed. This post main concern is sim unlocking and all that is involved, I have been doing a lot of research for about 8hrs and will be posting what I have tried aswell to assist others who might have similiar problem. My mission will be complete once I can use a UK sim in this phone.

from research I think this is the worse version as lots of patching to security has been done. My software version is 2.1.970.2 which seems to be latest.
What I tried thats not worked:
- downgrading firmware
- revone with run_root_shell
- updating to custom made rom
Questions:
- is it possible i could change hboot and does it use same as HTC ONE?
- is there any rom I could upgrade to?
- is there a secret code to force unlock code into phone?
- will i get it unlocked if i asked au
- is there any solution at all?
Thanks for reading and if you are going through the same problem lets work together hey and if you know a solution i will definitely be willing to buy you a beer or 2

If you still need help I'm willing to try to get this done, although I know for a fact that without some sort of hackery that you can't make UK firmware work, because the UK and JP are completely different phonesphones my only idea is rumrunner s-off and SuperCID

Hi yeah I've been looking into it unfortunately none have been successful. I been to rumrunner site and followed instructions there but not worked seem at the moment the exploits only work for 2.15 version.

To anyone who wants a challenge....
First: I installed twrp in preparing for flashing a custom rom.
2nd: Format/wiped sys/dalvik/cache
3rd: when trying to flash recieved error: remote not allowed!
4th: received the advice to relock then unlock again and that would fix the error problem.
5th: relocked bootloader... (has always been S-on)
6th: felt I had been denied, critical, need to know information.... fastboot ver was 1.55 and no longer able to unlock. Is there a fix for this yet? Can anyone please help me? I will compensate for time if needed.... I feel I have tried everything and read a couple hundred pages of threads on the subject but seems no one has answered the same question or has had different variables.

Well, it's not bricked, BUT you pretty much can't do anything at the moment!
For anybody reading this: STOP flashing a US Dev Edition firmware 4.06.1540.x on your non-Dev Edition phones with a relocked bootloader and S-On, chances of HTCdev getting to unlock bootloader again is close to zero, or really zero.
(please anybody feel free to correct me)
I don't know if this is due to updated hboot, or what HTCdev unlock generator takes into account, but if for example it takes into account CID and firmware, then your firmware .1540. is not "stock"; for CWS__001 it should be a .502. firmware.
So what are the options: wait for an ATT OTA 4.06 (or above) to be released extract the firmware.zip in it (which is signed) and flash that, then try to get an unlock token and hope it works.
I'm sorry this is not the answer you're looking for, but unfortunately it's the only I have. Maybe someone else has a better idea.
EDIT: since US-Dev Edition is supposed to be unlocked anyway, has anybody tried "fastboot oem unlock"??
EDIT 2: try it in both normal mode and in "fastboot oem rebootRUU" mode.
^^ doesn't work

On the next step I tried to do S-OFF by Rumrunner but it was failed. During the process program all time do RESET of my phone (pourin 5,6,7... etc.) and in the end I get the message about the Failed S-OFF, and I have to press Enter to Exit.
Leter I tried to do S-OFF using Firewater, but It was failed again. After opening first bottle I get the information that this program it isn't for my device BYE! I tried to this several times but always was the same result.
Maybe some of us know how can I do properly S-OFF ? Maybe some of us have the same problem and know how should I do with it?
I would be very grateful for your help.
Regards!
Try custom Rom + custom kernel elementalX + firewater
If you have received the message "whelp this sucks......" there is only one solution.
Try Sunshine. But will cost you 25$.

Ok, tuż Guya for advice. I must consider that option with Sunshine. Today also I read in some polish forum that some of HTC One have special kind of chipset insiade witch can unlock only Sunshine app. Nowaday there arenct another solution, but I want try to use Rumrunner program for Linux, because somewhere I read that it helped. I will write about the progress

CM11 Rom helped many try that also with custom kernel

You can use this https://play.google.com/store/apps/...g+check&pcampaignid=APPU_O0cBVPugNovgaJXHgtgM
And check if the your EMMC CID begins with 9001 you a are in the same situation like me.

Please remove your IMEI and serial no from original post
Secondly....why do you need/want s off? If you barely know what you are doing you can run into more problems going down this route. If you dont need it, and your phone is stock with no issues, just leave it

Thank you for reminding I didn't pay attention to this
as for s-off it is not possible on my boot loader and that's why I was trying to follow the guide in the link I posted which includes flashing a custom Rom that includes the stock recovery and then relocking the boot loader and then using the ruu tool to recover the orginal Rom so to sum it up I want to go back to stock Rom without s-off

Unfortunately there is no RUU for your phone to return to stock, which is what i assume you want?
To get s off you will need sunshine app, it will be able to unlock the bootloader and s off at same time on stock/stockish roms. It will cost $25 tho...

Ok thanks for the info I'll look for that as soon as possible
So a few days ago, i received an HTC One M7 from my dad. Having rooted and played around with other devices before, I immediately looked up all the guides and necessities to get this thing up and running. It was running Lollipop when i got it, so that means its running HBOOT 1.61.0000. After digging around some more, I learned that It isnt possible to s-off with this version of bootloader. And to go around this, I have to downgrade with a RUU. Now here's my real problem, I cant find a RUU compatible with my CID. I'll paste what i got from the fastboot getvar all command below and any help would be great.
Currently, I am unlocked and rooted. I will be using the stock lollipop rom again.

You can stop looking for RUUs because you need to be s-off in order to downgrade h-boot. You can s-off your phone with sunshine, but that costs 25$

What about the Guru Reset Roms/Tools? I tried installing a 4.3 Asia WWE guru rom and HBOOT was still the same. If I go down to 4.1.? will it downgrade? I would just like to know if there's anything else before I lay down USD$25 on sunshine.

As I said before - you can't downgrade h-boot with s-on. Sunshine is the only way to s-off your phone. OK, there is a gold card option, but that is even more expensive than sunshine, and it's complicated to do
Hi all,
I've recently destroyed my current contracts phone, and have reacquired my old HTC One m7 as a backup, however it's currently locked to O2-UK, and I need to unlock it to take my EE sim. I have had an unlatching code from O2 which SHOULD unlock the phone for use with any sim card. However, because I have rooted it, the unlatch code gives an "Incorrect code" error every time, so I guess I'm gonna have to return it to stock to unlock, then potentially reroot. My issue is I am struggling to find a stock O2 RUU file, presumably because the handset is so old, all the links I've found are dead.
My getvar all info is as follows:
Code:
(bootloader) version: 0.5
(bootloader) version-bootloader: 1.57.0000
(bootloader) version-baseband: 4T.28.3218.04
(bootloader) version-cpld: None
(bootloader) version-microp: None
(bootloader) version-main: 6.14.206.2
(bootloader) version-misc: PVT SHIP S-ON
(bootloader) serialno:
(bootloader) imei:
(bootloader) meid: 00000000000000
(bootloader) product: m7_ul
(bootloader) platform: HBOOT-8064
(bootloader) modelid: PN0710000
(bootloader) cidnum: O2___001
(bootloader) battery-status: good
(bootloader) battery-voltage: 3927mV
(bootloader) partition-layout: Generic
(bootloader) security: on
(bootloader) build-mode: SHIP
(bootloader) boot-mode: FASTBOOT
(bootloader) commitno-bootloader: dirty-6d8a0b9b
(bootloader) hbootpreupdate: 11
(bootloader) gencheckpt: 0
all: Done!
Can anyone offer any assistance at all?

The four o2 RUUs posted in the "Lollipop RUU' thread are still available for download.
Direct link to the latest version: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=24352994023702662
Don't forget to flash using htc_fastboot.exe (the standard fastboot.exe won't work)
Btw many owners of the M7 were able to sim unlock using this unlock code method simply by flashing a "close to stock" custom rom (i.e ARHD) instead of going back full stock using a ruu.

Oh really? That is interesting to know. Thankyou for that little snippet, and especially for the link, I will give that a try and report back.

Just a quick reply to say thankyou very much to alray for your advice, I managed to unlatch my handset by flashing ARHD to the phone, entered the code which was accepted this time, and im now back running ViperOne again. Nice one mate. :good:
