All my songs have album art and have edited id3tags and and names.
when i make a folder named new music in my music folder and put a mix of different songs in it almost all of the songs get one album art image... tried to clear music data and delete the song that that art is linked to... . the problem persists even if i remove that song-then another image is applied to all of the songs...
On my nokia phone album art is shown correctly for all of the songs...
does anyone know how to solve this problem..

I have just flashed my phone with the ROM 2.3.6 XWJW5 and found that all the album arts can not be displayed in the stock music app. In the previous ROM 2.3.4, there was no problem with those music files and stock music app.
Can anybody advise if it is the bug of the ROM or can it be fixed?
Hi , i'm actually having the same problem as many other people using the Walkman player on Xperia Smartphones , in my case the Xperia T
So the problem is simple : The cover pocket of the songs i have on my playlist are randomly given by the app when it's not found by the app by itself when you '' update the info of the song " so it attributes the same cover for the whole folder ... for example : i get the same cover pocket for a song made by Coldplay and an other one made By Rihanna since they are on the same folder

But i had the same problem when i reopened the app
Note that i tagged my songs by using MP3tag on my computer and the tag i have on Poweramp on the Xperia is the same i choose on MP3tag
I'm really tired of using Poweramp , if anyone could offer help on this it'd be wonderful thank you

Clear all the thumbnails from the folders on your sd card containing the music files.
Let the media scanner run again.
hey guys, just wanna know if im the only one feeling this way
i personally think walkman feels like an unfinished music player
no folder playing, no repeat option, no sorting playlist.
the infinte view and light effects are good, and thats the thing that makes still using it.
if we use other music player, will the light effect still play?

I've found the Walkman player to have the BEST quality sound.
if u click on album art then u find repeat button,shuffle button,favorate,button and fb like button
and if u wany to sort ur playlist then in now playing click on menu then play queue thats it sort it

i agree sony walkman has the best sound. the reason im not trying to use other msic player is because usually they have their own equalizer, and not all support the phone's stock sound effect.
manually sorting is way to tedious, i was thinking of having a sort button that ask how will u sort it, by artist name, by song title etc.

Well, u just click the My Music tab, there already got some default sorting: Songs, Album, Artists and SensMe channels....

no, i mean in my playlist.
when i first create a playlist, i tick the songs alphabetically, but when the playlist is created, the song list was jumbled up, not like the way i added it 1st time. what i mean is, i cannot find a sort button to sort the music list in my playlist. there is only a shuffle button, and in the dropdown menu, edit playlist there is no auto sort, i'll have to manually sort it, n its kind of tedious.
thats why i hope there will be an update for walkman that can play folder so i dont need to create another playlist whatsoever.

Well this things already got long time ago , and frankly speak nobody complain abt it (in fact I got use xperia mini , sola before )

well, dunno, maybe im too demanding
but im so used to having a folder playing option on my previous custom music player (on galaxy gio) so im a bit annoyed its not a standard on all music player
Hi people, I Am very dissapointed from Walkman for these two reasons: No folder choosing and no genre choosing for every mood that you are in a moment. Ihave Power metal folders, Rap, Drum'n'bass, Classic and when open Walkman its like one big chaos. What I'm do for that?
First make a new Playlist with name of wanted genre, after that I'm use other player with folder play option and put all folder in desired playlist. And after 5 min of work the chaos in Walkman is ignored and choose to play only that playlist with currend mood.
P. S. Sorry for my english, I am selflerner in third world country.
I'm not sure what you mean by "put all folder in desired playlist", but for me sorting genres as playlists worked. No need to copy any files anywhere. Just create a new playlist and add songs. I suggest doing it on computer using Sony's Media go software. It'll be a lot faster.

ARHD 12.1. I have alot of music by albums(made my self).Example: ARTIST: artist name, ALBUM: album name, ALBUM ARTIST: Various Artists.
When i open stock HTC Music player and press "sort by artist" it shows only first artist from album! Why so???

As you can see in the screenshot, walkman is not giving me recently added songs in my playlists tab. Im using the latest version of walkman, and I even installed an apk from someone who definately has this option, and still nothing. And those folders you see are empty, even tho they contain playable tracks.
