HI All,
I have a GT-P1000 that I need to get into USB diag mode on, from what I have read the standard *# menus do not work on AOSP ROMs, how can I get into diagnostics mode on this phone?
I have read that I can enable it through /sys/devices/virtual/usb_composite/diag, however I don't have a diag folder under usb_composite, is there another method for this tab? I have read that other versions of CM might be able to support usb diag mode, can anyone confirm this?
I know going back to stock might be an option, however I can't seem to find a stock rom for this tab. If anyone has a stock rom, I'd appreciate it (GT-P1000, Hong Kong version, GSM).
Thanks, Ivan

Hi everyone,
I'm using SGS Indian version with stock 2.1 i9000DDJG4. I can't get into the service mode on my phone using *#*#197328640#*#*. Though I'm able to use most of the other codes Test mode, GPS settings etc.
When I dial the service mode code nothing happens, the code disappears and keypad remains on the screen and no service mode settings appears.
I wanted to try the sound quality fix from supercurio

I also tried the following app but no benefit. The app also just dials the code. When I click Service Mode from the app, just keypad appears nothing else

It might help if you would use the correct code: *#197328640#
Hi Richthofen,
Thanks for your reply. I tried the code you posted *#197328640# and got the same result. After dialing code disappears as it should, but nothing happened.
Should I flash to any other rom? Do anybody have I9000DDJG4 original rom's backup? Actually I want to flash to any 2.2 rom available here. But want a backup of my stock rom. In case I want to claim warranty I can flash back to my original stock rom.
Sorry if I asked any obvious question. Actually its my first Android phone so don't have any experience.
Thanks

I'm looking for alternative ways to get into DIAG mode on the galaxy tab sch-i800. I'm running cm10, and i have done a framework-res edit for the dialer to be there. It will go into only one menu and that is *#*#info#*#* .
I need to cdma workshop on this thing and cannot get it on a port because of this.
I'm trying to manually flash to Page Plus, which i have already gotten it activated on there side.
But dialer is ending my call to activation.
I have tried many option's and phoneutil is what I have came across the most in forum's but cannot get there, and there is very little threads for this device on this kinda thing, JB have different menus?
==UPDATE== Figured out you have to command in terminal emulator and I was having driver issue's after using heimdall, I still never got to connect to cdma workshop in CM10 because i Had already went stock when i figured it out. But managed to connect when i was stock but no luck unlocking with any samsung codes in cdma. But was able to program my min and mdn using ##program#.
I currently have the m7vwz. (Which is disconnected)
I plan on flashing to CricKet.
My question is , When it comes to software ( ROMS ) What exactly is the difference between the M7 Variants ? I have heard someone mention mount points? I know that the APNs are going to be different , but what else is there ?
( Since my phone has been disconnected, I have flashed Viper ROM from the M7 thread. No issues . I only use wifi )
Once I complete flashing my phone over to CricKet, Would I still need to use the m7vwz Roms ?
Also, On most HTC phones I was able to dial ##775# or ##3778# in order to get to the NAM programming options. I've tried many roms, and I am still unable to get to these menus . I understand I may need to flash a patch to get to the DIAG menu, if so Where might I find the correct one?
Once I flash over and get my ROM Tweaked, Ill share in case anyone else may want to flash over to CricKet .
Thanks in advanced

Hi!
I have a Huawei g620s, very similar to the 4x, in fact it's now running a nightly CM12 that is made for the 4x and similar models, like mine. I am having some trouble because I am trying to use QPST to change some NV Values and in that way unlock some frecuency bands (This phone is from Europe and I am in America), but I can't find a way to put the phone in Diag Mode for it to be recognized properly by my windows computer to use QPST. Anybody knows how to do this in cyanogenmod and wants to help me?
did you fix your issue?
