T-Mobile SIM in Verizon Moto X on 4.4.2 - Moto X Q&A

Someone reported they got no data on their Verizon moto X running a tmobile sim on 4.4.2. Anyone that has updated their Verizon moto X to 4.4.2 could you please try testing a T-Mobile SIM? I want to know if you can get data and if you can successfully add and save a new APN now. Thanks in advance!

Hello,
Is there any way to flash a sprint model Moto X so it can be transferred to AT&T?
Thanks.

(Q) Solved

Hi everyone i have a situation with my moto x, a few months ago i updated the X with the retail 4.4.4 of verizon (i was on t-mobile 4.4.3) after i updated my moto x model change from XT1053 to XT1060 (i saw that when i used antutu) , now i wanna install the 4.4.4 retail from T-mobile but i don't know if there will be a problem because of that.
So can anyone tell me if i can brick or kill my phone by doing that? it'll be with the same android version but with different carrier. I'm on a unlocked moto x from nextel but my carrier is telcel Mexico
By the way this is the retail i donwload XT1053_TMO_RETAIL-US_4.4.4_KXA21.12-L1.29.1_2_cid9_CFC_1FF.xml.zip
Thanks in advance, hope someone can help me :fingers-crossed:
Edit : Solved :silly:

Install Moto X Pure Edition Roms on the Unlocked Verizon Model

Since the verizon model is now bootloader-unlocked and twrp is installable, i was wondering how well the roms made for the pure edition fare on the verizon model. Will i still be able to get verizon cell and data coverage?

I don't think that any of the roms currently support verizon cdma. So you will have to wait till they make support for it.

Oh ok, sucks to be on a cdma network

What about using the XT1096 with a pure edition ROM on T-Mobile or AT&T?
That will work because those are GSM not CDMA.

Can I get a clarification? Just got a Verizon Moto X 2014 as my upgrade (ploy to keep Unlimited Data). I am on an LG G3, rooted, yadda yadda.
I wish to give my girlfriend the Moto X for her AT&T account. I know that she technically can use it for voice and 3G data as is. Can I root, install TWRP or CM bootloader and flash a Pure Edition or AT&T ROM to get LTE on AT&T? Continuing compatibility to CDMA is not required.
Thanks!

CM's 12.1 works fine on the xt1096 on Verizon. I doubt the Motorola pure rom would work properly.

If the new moto x 2014 you just got from verizon is on android 5.1 then no, you can't get root, bootloader unlocked, twrp, nor custom roms. The 5.1 verizon rom is tightly locked down and currently we have no way to do any of those things.

Anyone have nTelos modems?

I just flashed CM13 onto my Moto X 2014 from nTelos. The problem is that I forgot to make a backup. Does anyone have the modems for the nTelos variant?
EDIT: I am still wanting the modems if anyone has them. I managed to get service back by flashing the US Cellular stock firmware for the Moto X 2014. (Note: This only worked because the nTelos and US Cellular variants are both XT1093.)
