This is just a simple ROM I built with dsixda's Android Kitchen. Saw some people requesting a clean, rooted, stock ROM so I started a poll to gauge interest and it was enough for me have a crack at it. It's not really development but I figured this was the best place to drop it.
It's based on the LT30P_9.1.A.1.141_PL.ftf posted by @Supersonic335. I only rooted and deodexed it.
All the usual blah blah about bricking your device applies. It works fine on my phone so it should work on yours.
Features
* STOCK
* ROOT (Chainfire SuperSU 1.25 & BusyBox 1.21.0)
* DEODEXED
Basic flashing instructions
1. Root with Bin4ry's method(*) Make sure to use v21 or later!
2. install CWM for locked bootloaders.(*)
3. Go to recovery and wipe
4. Flash ROM.
5. Flash kernel (**)
6. Flash CWM & Reboot fix (**)
7. Reboot.
8. Enjoy
(*) skip these steps if you already have CWM recovery or unlocked bootlader.
(**)Not for unlocked bootlooader

You lose CWM after the flash because it's not in the kernel image as it is in a custom kernel.
The reboot fix has to do with the ric file which causes reboots when trying to access /system as r/w iirc.
I'm going to be testing a build now which has CWM and the reboot fix integrated and also a different fix for the "missing" wlan driver.

OK, all the sequence again from the beginning.
1. I flash stock 303 rom
2. Rooting it, installing CWM via usb debugging mode.
3. Entering recovery, flashing rom (recovery after flashing rom is still exists, isn`t it?)
4. Then i flash what ? CWM or reboot fix ? I suppose fix, because CWM will be still availiuble!?
So, what for to flash CWM form CWM? If i will lose CWM i still can flash new CWM from installed new .195 rom via debugging mode, isn`t it ? Or i don`t get something at all ? ((
You need to flash both CWM and reboot fix. After reboot CWM will be gone. It is actually in a ramdisk while in recovery. The recovery.tar which holds it is in /system/bin and is flashed over on update. That's why you need to flash it again. You should be able to install it again from. 195 but it's just easier to do it while you're already in recovery. It doesn't matter which of the two you flash first.

All clear, thank you!
Will try to do it today.
Just flashed the rom, CWM and fix, everything passed just great, everything works..., what can i say, i`m happy! Thank you so much for your work.
But one thing, you didn`t make changes in kernel ? It`s strange, because the kernel in this .195 f/w is dated by jule, however this kernel was in old .303 f/w and in the new .195 f/w there must be new kernel dated by september, what do you say ? And i see changed file sysmon.cfg respondable for CPU frequency control and LCD brightness. In the old f/w i was changing values by myself as i want LCD brightness, and i see this file has an another values than in old .303 f/w. Does it you made changed or this was in stock ?

You should add to instruction, that after all need to flash via Flashtool stock kernel from .195 f/w from here
http://www.mediafire.com/?2b75t7dpk72z12h
Otherwise there will be bootloop after switching on extended battery mode. I flashed, and everithing is OK

Hi.
If I am on other custom Rom with LB, do you thing that I will be flash directly your Rom step by step, without 1step/flash. 303 stock Rom/, without problem?

If you are already on a custom .195 and have working cwm recovery you can flash it directly. I do advise to wipe, you can make a backup up your apps with Titanium backup.

Now that 7.0.A.3.223 is out, ¿any chance of getting an updated version of your rom?.
I like deodexed stock ones with as little modifications as possible, so I can customize them to my likes.
And so far yours has been great (except I switched SuperUser for SuperSU).

I've been using Siyah kernel with rom 3.195 and I'm very satisfied with it.
(There's a report that version 0.2 doesn't work with latest rom (3.223), but I know a user in another forum who says it is working fine for him, so who knows. Either way I'm waiting to see if Gokhanmoral releases kernel 0.3 before I update to rom 3.223).
¿Deodexed?
I've tried to customize the status bar icons with Rom Toolbox, but it complains that this rom is not deodexed (and in fact changing the icons does not work).
But this rom is supposed to be deodexed so, ¿does anybody know why this happens?.

That should be fine.
Next try this.
Flash it again, but this time goto

EDIT:
Just a thought, after flashing the rom are you wiping system as well as dalvik and cache...if so then D'OH, don't wipe system, that deletes the rom you just installed

You cant install custom kernels but you should be able to install stock based roms.
Are you trying to install a kernel? If so then dont.
Repair in pccompanion, root, install cmw recovery and flash rom.
It should work, if not try a different rom that is stock based

I'll be grateful if u can show me rom which can work on my XPERIA T , I'm not experienced enough to choose stock or not ,sorry for problems..
And if u can say, how i can get flashtool? I will try this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2026885
I have got EMMA but its not avaible for me...
Of coyrse you cant use emma. If you read the instructions its for unlocked bootloaders.
In order to get flashtool just look in the dev section for it.
To decide if a rom is stock based, read the op of the roms thread, it will say what it is based on there.
You should be able to flash my rom if you follow the instructions properly

First, sorry if this has been covered already but ive done my searching around and I'm still confused.
Im looking to flash a custom ROM. I'm already rooted and running dual recovery. I'm on the T-Mobile XZ C6606. Looking at the development sections, and this phone seems more complicated when it comes to flashing than others. Can someone point me to the right direction.
All I want to do is flash a custom stock based ROM with good battery. I see Roms that say u need to flash old firmware first using flashtool but those firmwares are for other models.
I'm also debating on unlocking the bootloader but it says I would lose the bravia Engine, would a custom ROM bring it back?

If you want to flash any custom ROM that is NOT based on stock ROM, such as CM/AOSP, you need an unlocked bootloader. I suggest that, if you want to unlock your bootloader, you first backup your DRM keys.
All this info is found in this forum. I'm still getting familiar with it myself, as I haven't even purchased my XZ yet.
First, you can't unlock the bootloader of your device, so forget about that idea. All T Mobile Z are unlockable.
Second, now that you have recovery installed, it is just a matter of downloading the zip file containing the rom you want and flash it. Afaik, all C6603 roms are compatible with yoyr device, but itll be good if you ask before on the thread of the rom you want to try.

ok, because im not new to flashing but on the rom pages, the installing instructions are making it seem more complicated than building a time machine. For example here one:
------BACKUP any critical data to microSD
Copy this rom zip package to microSD
Flash stock Sony's firmware (FTF) 10.1.A.434 (for android 4.1.2) or 10.3.A.0.423 (for android 4.2.2) using flashtools
Root using any available method
Install any available recovery (TWRP recommended)
Reboot in recovery, do factory reset & install rom until finish
Turn off device. (Hold power button + vol up until vibrates 3 times)
Flash latest Sony's firmware (FTF) matching current latest monxDIFIED base rom using flashtools. Uncheck all WIPE options and exclude all EXCEPT KERNEL & BASEBAND to get latest matched kernel & baseband.
Turn on phone. Done.-------
But, ur saying i just need to flash a rom like normal right?
---Wipe data, Flash custom rom and reboot?
Also, in the dual recovery page, it stated that i need to flash the LockedDualRecovery file after flashing rom, is this still relevant?

Those install instructions are ancient. Back then, you had to go to back to that exploitable firmware to root and install recovery. Skip those steps, you have recovery already installed.

It is just name of the ROM, and the developer writes you clearly in the first blue field, in the first text line:
Android Base CM10.1.3. RC1 JellyBean
JellyBean is not ICS (ICS is 4.0.x) so you need Gapps for CM10.1x / Android 4.2.x
CyanogenMod 9 is based on ICS

This isn't meant to be flashed via Odin.
Download the rom + addons + gapps + CM9 (you don't need CM9 gapps). You can download the rom + addons from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2075058
1.) Backup everything you need to- call logs, SMS, bookmarks, etc with Titanium or other methods of your choice
2.) Reboot into recovery. Perform the three wipe combo (data, cache, Dalvik)
3.) Flash CM9. You'll probably have to flash it twice- once for the kernel, another time for the rom. Let it boot.
4.) Once CM9 has booted, check that you still have reception.
5.) Reboot into recovery again and do the wipe combo. This time choose to flash the base rom. You'll need to flash it three times- once due to the incompatible partition (first flash overcomes this), another time for the kernel, a third time for the rom.
6.) Once the base rom's finished flashing, reboot. Check you still have your IMEI- you'll know if you still have reception.
7.) Reboot to recovery, flash addons (flash Addons then Addons_V1)
8.) Reboot
9.) Back to recovery (AGAIN), flash gapps.
Unfortunately a one-time flash with Odin isn't possible. But the endless flashes you have to do for RemICS V6 is well worth it

thx for your reply and apologies for getting back to you late.
If only i could do it the way you suggested but for some reason (me) i have messed the phone so that it now no longer is able to mount the external SDCard so putting the relevent zip files on the ext card is useless because in recovery mode using CWM these files fail to show.
I note that via CWM it shows the card as unmounted. If i try and do a mount it fails.
any ideas?

What about your internal storage?
Sent from my GT-P7510 using Tapatalk HD
Here is where my noob-ness kicks in.
What internal storage is available by default on the Note1? Is it just the internal sdcard?
what puzzled me when I last flashed with odin (repeated it a number of times as I was trying to get the device to recognise ext sd card) to get the current Darky Extreme rom on (which is working fine no problem at all) is that there was still some relic directory structure left over. These were all empty folders visible when navigating within CWM. Didn't matter what type of formatting I did they wouldn't go. To summarise: much confusion and something got twisted.
So questions arising are:
-How to nuke the internal disk/card properly so there are no remnants prior to me doing another darky reinstall?
-Then, how to copy a zip file to internal card but still have it remain after the format and wipes that would precede a zip install?
-How to fix the device to mount the ext sdcard? FYI other sdcards can't be mounted either. I have tried 4 different ones. And here's the kicker-once booted I go to file manager and there I can see and access all the files/folders on the external card!!! So it's definitely a phone problem as opposed to a sdcard problem. Something got flagged along the line.

Hey guys.
I currently have open bootloader and I'm with the firmware Ultimate PureXT v4.0 (4.3 JB) and therefore my disposal Recovery (Philz Touch 6 / CW v6.0.4.7).
The question is, if I just go directly to flash the firmware, with subsequent wipes, or previously have to flash a kernel via flashtools.
In case i need to flash a kernel through flashtools, what use, which is within the firmware or that recommend me?
I feel my bad English
Please can anyone answer? I do not dare to flash directly from recovery, without being certain not brik the terminal, not to have a different kernel that I have.

You mean to install the above linked ROM? Since you already have recovery installed, you can indeed use that for flashing the ROM, no need to flash an other kernel first.
It's always a good idea to make a backup of your current ROM first, so:
- backup
- full wipe (everything except SD)
- flash ROM from SD
- reboot

Many, thank you very much! It is exactly that.
That was my question, the difference in the systems and whether to flash a new kernel, to install the new firmware recovery
As I'm on 4.3 JB not know if I can flash this firmware directly from the recovery going from 4.3 to 4.4 while maintaining kernel 4.3
When you full wipe from recovery, everything is gone from your phone (including kernel), so just immediately flash the zip after wiping to install the new ROM (new kernel is then installed, you won't end up with 4.4 firmware with 4.3 kernel )

Thank you very much. :good:
I always thought you had to change kernel if the system is updated, or wanted a firmware cooked
