Hello,
i got a Sony Xperia Z1 C6903,
i bought it 5 Weeks ago, it got the Firmware 290
i Downgraded it to 534 and rooted it with "Root with Restore by Bin4ry"
then i flashed XZ Locked Dual Recovery and had no problems
i wiped everything like i should
and then i tried to install via TWRP the 290 Flashable.zip
after it i shut off my device (i didn't reboot just shut it off)
then i started to flash the striped 290 on the device
after this when i try to start the device all i see is SONY
and nothing else..
when i downgrade the firmware again to 534 and root it there are no problems... only when i try to flash to 290 it get stuck at the sony screen...
is there someone that could help me? :/
EDIT:
after i flash the 290 firmware via TWRP i get the message:
"E:Unable to mount '/data'"

yes i can via flashtool
there is no problem in flashing 534 with flashtool
was is creeping me out is that when i stuck on the sony logo i can't even go into the recovery so i have to flash everytime 534 root it install the recovery agauin and then i can try it another time...
i also tried it with phil recovery and "wipe to install a new rom" but even this didn't helped :/
when i didn't wiped anything after rooting 534 and install 290 over the rooted 534 i was able to go into the recovery and i saw "xperia" and the animation but it always rebooted at this point :/

Have you tried another 290 firmware? Maybe this has beeing corrupted for some reason...

Sure. Unlock bootloader is needed if you want to flash custom kernel. All ftf on sticky thread on general section are pure stock ROM, with pure stock kernel. So locked bootloader won't be a problem.

I was having the same angry problem.
I was on. 534 with Root and DualRecovery I wipe system, cache, data, internal storage and flash than the .136 first time a Germany Version then the stripped (Germany Version) without reboot the phone .zip then I got a bootloop after 8 times flash again I notice that not I make a mistake it is the faulty .zip that have a error inside( the flash was fine but it stuck on Sony logo)
Then I take the two files from Nut Tut. 136 and it work without problems.

Don't use a pre-rooted ROM, seems like this is a common problem on locked bootloaders.
What do you mean "pre-rooted ROM" ?
I update using Sony Update Service, it's a clean rom or pre-rooted rom?
I had that kind of problem. I've flashed with Flashtool and wiped everything. Now I see it is working.

1-repair your phone with Sony update service.
2-go to settings > backup and reset > factory data reset (internal wipe, so back it up the things you need)
3-root with this method. Make sure you understand everything before proceeding.
Goodluck

I've tried every way I can. Use flash-tool flash ROM and wipe everything, using SUS. I believe that Bin4ry's tool is based on goroh_kun and huhka_com's toolkit.

when gorohkun and huhka first released their rooting method, I first tried Bin4ry's tool but it failed to root my phone. Then i went over to doomlord's thread which is the original way (gorohkun and huhka) to root the phone and it was successful. I've rooted my T,ZL,Z countless time without any issues.

Thanks, I'll give it a try.
And try to install TWRP not CWM. Just an idea.
Try using v30 rooting toolkit, it solves all the reboot problems!
:crying:Hello I buy an Xperia SP, it works fine for 2 minutes and when I open settings it closes randomly every time I try open it, the same result when I try with other apps and in the notifications appears the message "bug report failed no new crash data in dropbox" and sometimes the phone freezes and reboot.
I try update with PC Companion, with SUS (in this i can't find the SP in the list), Rooting and removing all the apps that crashes, using speedydroid to remove bloatware, uninstall apps provided by the carrier, change the rom for eXistenZ and the problem remains.
I was trying to find a clean stock ROM for this phone with no luck
My phone is this:
Xperia SP c5306
Locked bootloader
ROM 4.1.2 12.0.A.2.254 Telcel
Hope someone can help me or say if it's software problem or hardware problem
Reflash stockrom with flashtool. It looks like some apps or files are either damaged or removed or something.
I flash stock firmware... again and the problem persist

You rooted your device? Or how did you manage to flash existenz rom? It's kinda strange it works only 2 minutes after your purchase and you still manage to get root and install CWM to flash existenz rom
Further, what SUS version are you using? Mine shows the SP and is able to perform a repair

Jaja in the time the phone works fine I have enough time to root, then reboot and install cwm, and enter in CWM,, the recovery works fine, and flash the ROM.
My SUS version is 2.13.14.201312091927 and it dosn't appear, please send me your SUS installer an I check it.

Should be this one. http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/tools/update-service/
If that one don't work, maybe use the dutch version http://www.sonymobile.com/nl/tools/update-service/ -> that's the one I used
I think it maybe a bad rom -non stable-
Or sometimes its the rooting process.
However
Using sony flash tool
Unlock boot loader
Flash stock rom
Root device
Ok here's what happened. I was using existenz rom and tried to flash cm 11 using steps i found here. however, im pretty sure something went wrong and my sp wont turn on anymore. the screen just lights up (pure black, just backlight) at first. then i managed to get to sony logo. i flashed stock .254 ftf via flashtool and wiped data. now i cant get past sony logo anymore. im trying to repair via update service and i dont know what will happen. pls help me
You have unlocked your bootloader before you installed Cm11?

yes i did. it was successful. i just got problems when fast boot flashing boot.img, idk what happened -_- huhu really want my sp back
In recovery (if you can enter that) perform a wipe /system and flash again This should fix most bootup issues.

Just flash a stock rom 4.2,4.3 using flashtool and if your sony bootloader is locked you can not use recovery on 4.3.

You can not root stock 4.3 with a locked BL that rom is for a rooted xperia. To do it you must flash back to 4.2 and root again install recovery and install a custom 4.3 rom not stock.
HELP!!!
My Xperia SP C5303 just got rooted, but the I updated it to the latest firmware (.266).
Then I noticed that SuperSU can't start because it lost the SU Binary after the update..
I used DooMLoRD_Easy-Rooting-Toolkit_v18_perf-event-exploit.zip to root my device, but before that I flashed it with XperiaSP_C530X_12.0.A.1.257_KernelOnly.ftf.
So I tried flashing it again with .257 kernel so I can reinstall SuperSU, but after flashin it only displays the SONY logo and doesn't even get to FLASHMODE or FASTBOOT.. :crying:
Please help, I need my phone back... :crying:
