Portable Amp - G2 Accessories

Does anyone use a portable amp with their G2? If so, do you have one that just boosts the signal a little, or one that also includes a DAC? I'm trying to decide between the Fiio E11 and the E07k, but I'm not sure I need everything the E07 offers.

The DAC is brilliant on this device. I installed a mod that boosted audio levels (not like those crappy equalisers). I don't even use my portable amp since i installed that.

I need replacement headphone

Hey guys,
My headphones broke on my nexus s, wondering if the One that came with the evo 4g will work. Honestly I dont like the in ear one that it came with. Anyone know of one that is black and is like the evo 4g or iphone headset that works with our phone.
Thanks

Why don't you just try it? I don't see why it wouldn't work. They're all 3.5mm jacks.
Yes they work.

Not sure if you were saying you didn't like the in-ear headset the Nexus S comes with, but here's a link to that pair. They're also included with the Galaxy S devices, and I personally think they're very well built Samsung headphones at an absolutely unbeatable price.

HTC one audio quality vs note 2?

Can anyone give a comparison? I'm planning on switching

I just came from a Note 2 and I honestly have to give the edge without question to the One. Headphone and speaker quality/loudness, they nailed it.
Even with the voodoo sound / boeffla sound support? I'm talking about the headphone jack and not the speakers btw

You'll get a lot of crazy opinions on this since so much depends on the headphones you use, personally I thought it was much better than the gnote 2 but I also changed earbuds when I changed phones... I'll bet any store with demo units will let you plug in your headphones to each and compare any phones you want.
Yeah too many factors lol, loving the sound quality on my note 2 and I sure do not wanna get a new phone and feel bad about it afterwards. Are there a lot of optimizations going on with the kernels and roms for the one?

... that come with a 3.5" audio plug and have an integrated amp or something, e.g. pc-speakers.

I know that the top of our phone is a bit slanted and so I was wondering if anyone used ath m50s with this phone to see if they fit correctly and sound correctly?

They're headphones. They will plug in. The only thing that would cause them to not work would be a case that obstructs the fitment of the jack to the port. I've plugged in many different head phones from cheap $2 sets to PowerBeats by Dre as well as Studio by Dre.

I understand that they have the required 8th inch adapter but I was just making sure because some reviewers of these headphones had problems with certain devices. Thanks again

Well I've never used them, but as long as it has 3.5mm connection or adapter it should work.

1) I moved this thread to the Q&A forum.
2) I've used the AT-M50s on every phone I've had and they work fine except the TPU case on some pushes out the headphone jack sometimes. So I take a razor and make the headphones hole a bit bigger on my case. Other than that you should have no issues.
These are still my favorite headphones, way better than any of the Beats and even the Bose in this price range. If they were a big smaller I would wear them at the gym, but for at home listening these headphones rule the world.

Oh thanks. Quick question, I've heard the burn in time for these headphones is super long. Do they still sound good out of the box or is it alright and then much better after use?

They sound really good out of the box.
The burn in time isn't incredibly long, I put some decent hours on mine and they just get better and better, but out of the box I found the sound quality to still be superior to any other cans in that class.

not the best sounding, but decent. I like my lg hbs 730 for bike riding. No wires to get in the way and stays on my neck very nicely.
I highly recommend you Philips Fidelio M1BTBL headphone! It's pretty expensive but boy. What a sound. I have 14 different sorts of headphones (I work for a music company) but this is my personal favorite. Battery lifetime is good, the noise reduction is perfect, real good monitoring of high and low ends. And it fits really comfortable!
And of course easy pairing with the m8..

The price is tot high for me.
Looking for cheaper.
Thnx anyway

What are you going to be doing with the headphones? Biking running lifting walking ?
I just bought the Motorola S305 headphones, they're $50 at Best Buy, but they will price match Amazon ($35), by far the best deal for the money. Battery life is not that great - 4 hours of talk time (listed specs), music playback is probably a little bit longer. They do charge very fast though. Range also isn't very good from my experience (phone is always in my pocket anyway), but that probably has more to do with HTC Sense which always has some type of issues with bluetooth...but like I said, best deal for the money.
I use it only for biking.
Grtz

Great thread, I am also looking for he best value bluethoot earbuds to use while running or biking. They all seem pretty expensive, is there on option on the 30-50 bucks that is worth it?
Cheers
Ive also been looking into bluetooth ear buds, for work related reasons its not great to have wires hanging everywhere, Ive been looking at the Plantronics Backbeat go 2's the price doesnt seem too awful and the look to perform like other earbuds
I got these for about $20 AUD recently.
Looks like they sold out at the moment, but I am sure they will get more.
They sound good enough for what I need them for - work phone calls at home and a bit of music. And they come with a pair of detachable ear loops to keep the earphones in your ears while exercising.

I have two pairs of Soul SV3 bluetooth headphones. A lot of bad reviews on Amazon for the earpad covers not being glued on well, but when I got the silver ones they were $40. These are basically knockoffs of Beats, so not for running. One of the many followers that attached a rapper's name to their $200 headphones. These no longer endorsed by Ludacris. Personally I haven't had any problems with the earpad covers. They could've have done a neater job, but they are still glued on after a month of daily use. They have bluetooth 4.0 for better battery life and Apt-X which the HTC One M8 supports for better bluetooth audio. They also have a detachable audio cable and are nicely packaged. Definitely weren't intended to be sold for $40.

The LG Tone Infinims? I have them too, very pricey, but great sound, way better than I ever dreamed I'd get with Bluetooth. Definitely worth the but (though I may buy a pair off eBay and save some money off what I paid at the AT&T store, haven't decided if I wanna risk it yet).
Also got the HK Bluetooth headset. Compared to my urBeats the sound is amazing...
