I'm looking for an app that can compose and send an email with just a click from the home screen.
Ideally, it coule be set to ask for bits of variable information. So I could write an email template where the recipient is preset (or left as a variable), the subject is preset or can contain a variable as well, and most of the body is preset except for one variable. For example:
To: [email protected]
Subject: Make sure to buy [UserInputHere] today!
Message: You should buy this at [UserInputHere]'s market!
This would be incredibly useful for interacting with all sorts of bots like gmail (when combined with filters etc ...) or task.fm or rememberthe milk.
DG QuickCut is the closest (the customi shortcuts) but alas does not allow me to make templates or even set the subject or message body.
Can someone create this app?
Notigola allows you to create targeted rules on incoming SMS so you can decide which messages to receive in the default messages app and which only to show in the notification bar.
It is possible to create all the rules that you want acting on various parameters available from Notigola in order to obtain a high level of precision on the filters to be applied.
If your Smartphone is equipped with "Android Jelly Bean" or higher you can also choose which buttons appear on the notification between "Call", "Reply", "Share". In addition to the choice of buttons you can decide whether or not the phone will vibrate and/or play a sound on incoming notifications.
Notigola also has an inbox of filtered messages that you can manage deleting a message at a time, deleting them all at once or by copying the text to use on other apps.
This app can be useful to manage the various:
- I called you
- Operators Call Cost
- Advertising and spam
- Notifications access to sites
- Various SMS notifications...
It can operate by:
- SMS blocker
- SMS Filter
- SMS reader
Supported languages:
- English
- Italian
No doubt you tired of receiving annoying text messages and find yourself full of "useless" communications in your default SMS app, with Notigola you can avoid having a list clogged and you can separate and manage these types of communications.
Remember, this app is totally free and without advertising in it, please leave positive feedback on the Play Store to inspire us to put even more our passion to serve the development of Notigola!

After installing this profile you will be able to say "Ok Google, call" followed by <the name of any contact or ph#>. Google Home will then make the call from your cell phone and turn on the speakerphone.
Video Demo
Part 1.
1. Download and install Tasker, AutoContacts BETA, and Pushover apps. Also download the Make_Call.prf.xml (you will make use of this file in Part 3.)
2. Open AutoContacts, grant all permissions and allow it to load your contacts (I recommend that you upgrade to the full, paid version or you will only have access to a limited number of contacts).
3. Open Pushover and create an account (it’s free).
Part 2.
1. Go to IFTTT.com and create the following applet:
a. “This” – Google Assistant channel - “Say a Phrase with a Text Ingredient”
i. Under “What do you want to say?” – Enter “please call $”
ii. Under “What do you want the Assistant to say in response?” – Enter “ok, calling $ from your phone”
b. “That” – Pushover channel - “Send a Pushover notification”
i. Under “Title” enter “call”
ii. Under “Device” select your device’s name. You can leave, or change, the other default entries according to your preference.
Part 3.
1. Place the “Make Call” xml file in your device’s Tasker/profiles folder (if these folders do not exist then create them).
2. Open Tasker and long-press “Profiles,” then select “Import” and import the xml file from Part.1.
3. Back-out of Tasker to save the profile. Done!
You can now say “Ok Google, call" followed by <the name of your contact>. Your phone will place the call and turn on your speakerphone. Enjoy!
**Important**
- Turn off battery optimization for Tasker, AutoContacts, and Pushover or your device may disable these apps when idle.

When I get google home to call someone it calls 9n my phone but dosent put it on speaker and when I click on speaker it goes through my phone speakers not GH.
I was testing for a friend this works perfectly. How do I go about uninstalling all of this to go back to original operation? I've uninstalled all the apps but Google assistant will no longer query from my phone, it won't look up number on web and dial out from my phone. Now it just says it's calling and sits there. When I say OK goggle call xxxx it should do a lookup of contacts or out on web and then dial out. What is calling xxxx but that's it no dialing or lookup is occurring.

I logged into ifttt site I turn off and deleted the applet. I can now make calls out when the contacts are stored in my phone or in Google contacts. What it still won't do is search online for number and dial out.
That has nothing to do with this hack. You may want to search the Google home forums for help with that.
Closing thread as a native calling function has now been added to Google Home.

Hi,
i am tyring to set a task in tasker to send an SMS to a specific number. this sms is used to pay my parking tickets. the thing is i will be adding this task to a scene or to zooper later, and the text i want to send changes from time to time.
the body of the message is "plate number, categoy, number of hours".
i have 2 plate numbers (mine & wife), there are 2 categories (prime & standard) and number of hours is capped at 8 hours
so it would look like "111AE S 8" or "452RT P 2"
is there a way i can make tasker ask me if i want to send sms for prime or standard location and how many hours?
my initial thinking was to have a scene in tasker that shows me 3 drop down menus for the 3 items (plate, cat. & hours) and then the send button that combines all 3 drop downs. is this possible? or any other way?
thanks
Set a variable, %whichtopay and then always pay %whichtopay but set %whichtopay to whatever u want.
Put a widget, that pops up a list, and when you tap the list, it sets the %whichtopay variable to whatever you clicked then disables itself.
Yah we good bruh
Hello. I am a beginner user of Tasker with a few profiles made and working. But I need help on this one. I want Tasker to (1) detect I am going from (anywhere in) my city to (anywhere in) a neighbor city where I work sometimes a week; (2) recorded start time; (3) recorded arrival time; (4) created a pop-up/dialog asking me for details (free text); and finally (5) create an event in a calendar with that start and end times, with the start place as its place, and with my free text as details.
How can I do this?
