Everyone At XDA has given me so much I feel like I need to Give a little back.
I learned this when I had my treo 650, If you hate the tiny radars and satelite pictures you get on your phone, or don't want to load the whole weather page from your local news site, here is my fix for that.
1) on your computer find the local radar or Satelite that you want on your phone. (if you want animated view, animate 1st.)
2)Move cursor over map and right click mouse. Select properties.
3)High lite the Address (URL) right click mouse copy and paste in an E-mail and send it to your phone.
4) once on your phone you can open the e-mail and just select the URL address and your browser will load it. Save it to favorite's and you got it.
You only have to do this one time is seems that updates and changes are automaticaly saved to the same URL address.
5)the following web sites I know work where I am. P=Pic/A=Animate
Wungerground.com (P&A)
Accuweather.com (P&A)
bigblue marble.com (P&A)
Intellicast.com (P)
(intellicast and big blue marble sat's photos are huge(date size) but pretty and detailed)
Noaa Radars USA (Use Standard Version link below NOAA Emblem) (P&A)
National Hurricane Center Sat's (P)only
Localwireless.com USA (P&A)
I used them during the 2005 hurricane season and was well informed
Try your locals and nationals good luck' Jami J
Java loads and Flash will not work on my phones (TREO 650) Or (TILT)
dose anyone know how to make them work?
Nice tip, thanks. I check Weather Underground every day on my PC but hadn't thought to try it yet on my Tilt.
AT&T Tilt/Dutty's WM v6.1 (build 19199)/Polaris 1.58.25.14
The home wx plugin works perfectly for cities in the db. But the closest city is ~300 miles away. When I add my city params via AdvancedConfig (or directly in the registry), the plugin connects and returns the correct city and forecast from AccuWeather. However, the time is displayed where the current temperature should be, i.e. the time the data were accessed. When I change the city back to one in the db, the plugin display maps as it should again, i.e. shows the current temp.
Any help is appreciated, thanks.
FYI, these are the params in question:
city in the db: NAM|US|PA|PITTSBURGH
city I added: NAM|US|PA|STATE COLLEGE

Name: HexAnnex
Description: HexAnnex is a desk strategy game. Every turn the player places number on a free field, surrounding fields owned by the player will increase its value by one, surrounding fields owned by the opponent will be taken when their number is smaller than placed number.
The goal is to have the sum of the numbers on your fields bigger than opponent.
In the last version it gets more interesting - you have more numbers and you choose which one you place, but in the end you still have to place all numbers you've got. Currently, the opponent is always AI, but with three different difficulties.

Please, post any suggestions and feedback you have, I am starting with WP7 development and I would like to make it as good as possible
As soon as I will be able to make external links, I will add also screenshots )
I was saw you working on it at MS-Fest
Great work!
Yes, that is true, I was developing AI there
Thanks
Hello the Nokia Transit Beta are out now:
Here is the Download Link
Please test it and help Nokia to make it better....

As with all Nokia apps for WP7, the 'enter' key is not highlighted like it is in native apps. For apps that the enter key is a necessary step, it's always white. Based upon the 'common sense' formed from the rest of the WP7 UI, it takes a small leap of logic to realize that a single grey button must be pressed. I digress.
Needs to be able to browse contacts. Manual entry and/or paste will keep me from using it, when I can access my address book via Mango Transit.
Integration into Local Scout would be handy, too. Again, reliance on copy/paste isn't as productive when I can flick over to apps and get immediate transit routing using Mango Transit.
I look forward to Nokia Transit getting bigger and better. I do like the swiping left/right of the different routes when one is in view.
Most advanced GPS calculations app for windows phone just got even more advanced!
GPS Calculator is an advanced app that allows you to do almost anything with GPS coordinates. Convert between 4 different formats (including UTM grid), calculate distances, area, and project points. It also does geo and inverse geo-coding (via bing services), maps true geodesic lines, works both offline and online, and allows you to manage waypoints. GPS Calculator major update to version 5.0 brings new features, including sharing of location in any supported format via sms, email or social, time zone, local time and sunrise-sunset calculations for any location, and the most advanced altimeter available on any mobile platform. With the new Altimeter function you can not only view elevation profile graphs and get current GPS elevation, but also compare it using five different elevation data models! In this update we support SRTM3 (shuttle radar topography mission), ASTER (Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer - a high resolution imaging instrument that is flying on the Terra satellite), GTOPO30 (global digital elevation model from topo maps), USGS elevation data, and finally Google’s elevation data web service.
GPS Calculator is not a tool for everyone. It will not take you from A to B, it does not record tracks or replaces your car GPS. There are plenty other apps that do that. But if you feel a little geeky about GPS technology, or just want to learn about it – you should give GPS Calculator a try. Hey, it is completely free and has no ads too, so there is nothing to lose.
GPS Calculator does speak your language (if it happens to be English, Russian, Italian, Spanish, French, Dutch or Swedish). Kevyn82, BigwaveMx @XDA, NebZonNe, Willem van Vugt, Johan Spanberg and others helped me translate. When Tango ships even more languages will come – including Ukranian, Arabic and Turkish already in the works.
This message would not be very useful without the marketplace link at the end. So here it is:

Nobody saying much here, so I'll say thank you for this useful and interesting app!
Peace
just installed, not bad! thanks
Thank you fellow WP7 users. I appreciate your comments here and even more at the marketplace. It is quite hard for a little non-commercial app like mine get noticed.
And just to let you know - new update with even more useful functions is already in the works.
hi kitya,
will be happy to update the translation if you introduce me to that NebZonNe...
little request : would be nice if we could find the app amongst other "G" named apps...thought the "space" was here for easy testing purpose...
Thank you. I will let you know as soon as I make some progress. Takes some time, sorry
Great Application
I will say this is a terrific app - works like a charm. Very ingenious! I would like to make a request though. If it were possible to save area calculations and email them, that would definitely be a big PLUS!
Thanks - great job! Greg

Click to collapse
Thank you! But what exactly do you mean about area calculations saved. Just the result number? It should already be possible even now to select it and copy-paste into an email, if needed.
