Okay I stalled this on my Maxx unlocked bl I was having force closes all over three place so I decided to just install my stock backup and it boot looped. Luckily with so trying I got back into recovery and I installed the rom again and the phone works but with all the fc. What do I need to do to go back to my stock build.

i think you didnt did the wipe, thats why the forcecloses
I did wipe the cache before installing the ROM. I really don't care about that now. How can I install my backup without a bootloop. Do I need to wipe the ROM then install the backup. I did use the factory reset option but not advanced wipe.

I think where I messed up is I didn't wipe the stock system before installing the ROM. I wiped cache after install. Because I have what I would call a hybrid build my apps I had installed are still installed like mega dropbox and I didn't have to sign in to them. So its like this ROM took some of the stock ROM when installed. I don't know at this point I just want the stock build back. Can I fxz 4.4 or will that screw me up as well.
Sent from my DROID MAXX using xda app-developers app
OK I wipped everything reinstalled the ROM and it started me fresh runs great. I still need to know if I can get back to stock build with either an fxz or install backup. If neither work what do I have to do to get back to stock 4.4 on my maxx.
Never mind fxz worked back to stock.

I'm happy with stock on this phone ... But it would be great if it got Multirom... After having a nexus for a while I wouldn't even think about flashing without it... Can keep stock ROM intact while trying out as many other roms at the same time as you'd like...
So in the meantime I'll just try out PACman on my nexus I'll
Yeah this is my first unlocked boot loader since my D1. I didn't realize the hoops I would have to jump through to get back to stock. I love the stock ROM I won't give up my active controls or touchless control.

the fix in the past has been to create a nandroid backup, flash back to stock, open maps and get a gps lock, leave maps open then boot to recovery and restore your nandroid

Yeah thought about that, will give it a shot ASAP and report back.
Edit. So it worked, restored stock and locked GPS then rebooted to recovery and flashed a backup of PAC. GPS locked in a couple seconds

If you are using CWM, then yes.
If you are using TWRP, then just wipe data and flash.

Ninja-edited: Thanks for the head up. Going try TWRP recovery in now.
So far since I have flashed this last night I have gotten 3 random reboots 2 of which hang on the grainy white screen that pops up just before the bootanimation starts. Other than that I love this ROM.
Edit: I may have figured out the problem. Had been using the PimpMyROM app which seemed to be causing the issue. Ended up wiping the apps data and cache then uninstalled and did a clean flash of the new ROM build. Been running for a good hour or so with no random reboots.

I'm assuming this has the microphone bug where other apps can't use it (voxer, hangouts, Skype eat.)? Since it's a Kernal issue?

EDIT: Not sure if it's a known bug, audio doesn't work via bluetooth?

Bluetooth works on version from 5 19 but that's the only one that I was able to get Bluetooth audio streaming working on.
I would post a link over to the ROM but it looks like that link is dead.... I would ask bkjolly for a link of you want to try it for your self

I would assume you are correct. I have the same issue with all 4.2.2 ROMs for XT907. So it's def a kernel issue and not a ROM issue. =]

Rom is solid and stable, quick as are all the cm based rooms for the kf2.
I liked the addition of so many wall paper backgrounds.
Experienced the same image stretch on boot animation that is present in all cm roms.
Overall the experience was good, nice addition!

Wiping the system from twrp kills the existing installed rom.
When moving to a new rom I always make a full twrp backup, wipe system and factory reset wipe, then install new rom and gaps.

I've only had my kf2 for a few days now, but I still wipe the system when installing a ROM. In fact, I tried to skip wiping the system(as a test) and I got a bootloop(granted, I was already in a bootloop from a previous ROM. Point is I needed to wipe system to get out of the bootloop).
So yes, wiping the system should be safe.

Thanks for the update.
I've gone to change the wallpaper, and when I choose the "Wallpaper" option, the thumbnails are not the same as the actual wallpaper. The thumbnails look quite funky, but I only seem to get the default wallpapers. The CM, Gallery, Live, Paranoid, Solid and Swag papers all seem to be correct.
I also can't seem to find the PAC wallpaper as was included before?
Still looking for any other issues.

For those of you that flash this... does this rom take forever to charge as well?
BTW, For the OP. I left a last_kmsg.txt for the camera if that helps fix the camera on the CM10.2 side.

I'll take the plunge, does this have multi window by any chance?
Guess CWM is preferred over TWRP to flash this?
Very nice! Thanks for your work i'm giving this a try right now!
Doing a full review of this because I'm so excited. Lol

Awesome. My buddy BKJolly is on the team for the original builds of this so I'm stoked to be able to use it. Thanks for the work getting it ported over I'll be testing it tonight

I'm giving this beast a flash now, I'll report back later today with my findings with both the included kernel, Woot's kernel, and with/without the QuickRemote file in case that borks something up.
First thing noticed: There are no navigation buttons and I can't seem to enable them. I'm stuck using Pie. I changed the DPI settings and cannot get them to go back to their defaults.

I love this ROM. There are a few bugs and I think my battery life decreased by a bit but with all the customizations this ROM is amazing. Hopefully some of these bugs will be sorted out in future nightlies

Thanks
The ROM looks amazing I just with that 4.3 wasn't such a wasted effort now that 4.4 is out and should take much less effort considering the Nexus 5 and Flex would be easy enough to KANG from.
Here's Hopes that the official 4.4 comes out as promised form the frency carrier leak.

Well for now until pacman updates to 4.4 we can still use the new Google launcher that is preinstalled in this ROM. However, saying "okay Google" does not work for me
Sent from my LG-VS980 using Tapatalk
Using CWM - doing a full clean install, I keep getting a gapps error. I've tried the gapps provided in the OP as well as the full 4.3 PA gapps, but no dice on either. Anyone else have this issue? I'm wondering if I should switch to TWRP?
I've also attempted both the 11.24 and 11.25 builds with the same result.
im about to flash this when it gets done downloading. But i'd like to use a custom kernal since i haven't used one in 3 months does anyone have a recommendation?
Thank you for this. This is my standard go to Rom. Just waiting for cm to get Debugged and I'll flash this

Yes, I know Jolly as well. He maintains the motorola devices, I used to run his Pac rom on my Razr HD. But time to move onto a new device!

4.4 Pac is in development, trust me...it's not the easiest thing to get fully functional on so many devices.

Thank you for this, I will have a nice long weekend to test and try to fix.
I was able to get a GPS lock, no SOD's yet and no reboots yet. The hybrid settings seem to have some quirks. I set it to the recommended setting and the top of the settings were cut off and the quick settings are on the left side (slightly) and the notification panel to the right. One question I have is that it seems that most cm themes don't theme the "LTE" in the status bar and quick settings. When it was a 4G icon it would always get themed. Thank you for bringing us PAC!

This Rom seems very smooth and responsive, very nice work so far. The only thing I can report is that I couldn't seem to get the nav bar to show up...can't stand pie control, personally. I'll admit that I haven't run pacman before so maybe I missed something? Anyway, thanks for adding another ROM to our device!

This has got to be one of the most customized cm11 ROMs on the dev section and one of the most stable 100% better than cm12

I can't say I've had this trouble YouTube works at any rotation portrait and landscape no fc..
My only problem is with streaming videos, tryed to use MX Player, the ROM player and the screen turns green and sometimes reboot happens...

Just wanted to say thanks for this ROM, been using it since it was uploaded and it's been rock solid .Everything works the customisation options are almost endless. I had the problem of MX player crashing (same on cm11 too), unchecking all the options in settings/decoder solved it.

Did the same thing and cleaned cache and whatever... rebooted just in case and its is working fine for now!
Which model do you have? I received my Moto G 4G (XT1039) yesterday and no matter what, I couldn't flash custom recovery or SU with the tool kits... used chainfires SU script over ADB, worked no problems. I'm eager to test this rom.
To be honest, I'm hating vanilla android already. It's the small things, like the notification bar settings in CM based roms that lack on vanilla which really bug me widgets etc are just not the same in usability and aesthetics.
Very nice rom, i'm gonna stick with it untill lollipop taste better...
One little question, is there a way to disable the menu button somewhere ?
I use to have 4 butons on navbar, so one of them is menu, and the left or right or both menu buton is useless for me but i could not find a way to disable it.
Thanks

I've got an XT1039. I flashed the latest TWRP 2.8.3.0 in Somcom3X's experimental corner using fastboot. Did you unlock the bootloader?

Ah, I found the problem! Couldn't flash root, cos root is broken in his toolkit, and tried to flash TWRP like hell with only having unlocked the loader... will try it now as I obtained root as I said thru chainfire's adb fastboot flash
---------- Post added at 08:14 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:51 PM ----------
By the way: I've only flashed cm11 on Samsung up to now. Is it a piece of cake to, let's say switch to cm12 as soon as there is a milestone or RC? And is it difficult to get back to stock rom? With Samsung it was always dead easy going back to stock with Odin...
Hi, I have a 1040, did you unlock bootloader? With that done I just flashed a TWRP with "minimal ADB and Fastboot" (found with google) and then done root procedure and installed SuperSu zip file...

As I already said, I installed SU with chainfire's script via ADB and couldn't install TWRP previous to that cos I forgot that that isn't possible without root/SU (and rooting doesn't work with the newest toolkit)...
Anyway, I have installed TWRP recovery now. But I still don't know how easy it is to get back to stock after flashing a custom rom or switching from e.g. PAC-ROM to cm12 (as soon as a milestone version is out). I really prefer cm to PAC on my old device, and would like to switch from PAC-ROM KK to cm12 as soon as a RC of cm12 is available for our device.
