disabling/enabling wifi causes screen to minimized/maximize quickly - Moto X Q&A

Everytime i turn my wireless on or off it causes the screen to flicker. NOt really a flicker but looks like the screen is minimizing and maximizing. Anyone experience this before?

I figured it out. I guess because i haven't taken the 4.4.2 update, there is a service called motorola ota service that caused the screen to flicker on and off when changing wifi connections. I freezed it via titanium and now no more flicker. I can connect to my qx100 successfully now.

Screen unresponsive at random

Every once in awhile I'll turn my screen on and the screen won't respond to touch, if I hit the power button it only toggles the backlight, not the actual display. If I let the screen time out, it'll still toggle the backlight but the screen won't turn on. This usually resolves itself after a minute or so but it's becoming increasingly frustrating.
Also the problem did appear once or twice when I was on EPE54B but it's become significantly more common(like 3 or 4 times a day) since upgrading FRF91, I can't recall if it happened on FRF85B and it has yet to happen when I'm already using the phone, only when inactive.
PS the wifi seems to lose its connection when this happens although I've had the issue when not connected to wifi.
My phone is not rooted nor is the bootloader unlocked.

It's not a touchscreen problem.
Search my posts in General, you'll see.
Seems that it doesn't happen with new, non-stock Froyo and GB kernels.

[Q] Flickering screen - suggestions?

Hello folks, Ian here again.
Back in March, I replaced the screen on my Xperia X1 after dropping it in a toilet. I seem to have full functionality of the whole phone, but the screen connection seems flaky. It will flicker or sometimes simply black out. I've tried opening up and resetting all the connections again without any change. I'm tempted to try some sort of method of gluing the contacts so they don't come undone.
Other issues include:
- the light sensor seems to not be working
- my signal strength seems poor, about half of what it should be regularly
Anyone have any suggestions?

[Q] Screen flicker when unlocking

I've noticed that after turning accessibility for any app (Tasker for ex.), when i unlock my phone there will be a screen flicker.
Basically the screen flashes black quickly and even though that's the only issue, it annoys me. Has anyone had this problem or know of a way to alleviate this issue?

Verizon LG G2 Screen Issues... NOT the turn on then off issue

I have recently purchased this phone via swappa and haven't had any issues prior to this and that has been three weeks (other than a light leak).
The issue that is happening is the LCD will not turn on. When the phone is unlocked via knock on or power button you can move your finger over where the lock circle would be and feel the vibrations showing that it does register the touch. Then usually I would just hold the power button till it rebooted and this would sometimes fix the problem, on a side note the boot LG logo and boot animation do not show up during this time simply the lock screen would randomly appear.
That is problem, now on to what I tried to fix it. I have put on an entirely different rom and the problem persists, I have also flashed a different kernel on the stock rom with no avail. I at first thought it could be due to a faulty proximity sensor, but the last time the screen was on I checked it with sensor box. One way I have been able to reproduce the problem is after locking it putting it in my pocket and waiting around five minutes, this then will make it so the LCD does not turn on ( Which makes it seem like it has something to do with deep sleep). Also something I just found since I was actually able to find the power off button, the screen also won't turn on when the phone is off and plugged into the charger (this makes it seem like hardware issue). It seems like as long as I keep the phone from going to deep sleep the LCD will turn back on.
Some of this makes it seem like a software issue other things make it seem like a hardware issue. I just was wondering if anyone had any ideas or if I need to buy a new screen, if the mobo is bad, or if I could fix this with software. Any and all ideas are welcome.
Thank you all in advance.

screen randomly wakes up

My device is completely stock.
I have noticed that the screen will randomly wake on its own to the lockscreen.
If i get a notification it does this however will also do it with nothing apparently new having happened.
Any ideas?
I noticed this before on my P9-L:ite but haven't seen it yet on my P10. In my case, I believe it happens when the phone loses or regains internet connectivity. Since networks are kind of spotty where I am, it happens somewhat often.
i have the p10 plus and i have the same situation...... any solutions?
Mine only does this when receiving a snapchat from someone. Could it be app related?
My one week old P10 plus has the same problem. It happens when I lock the phone while any app is active (I tried with a few apps). However, it doesn't happen when I lock the phone while the home screen is active.
Has anyone found a solution?
Still interested in this–
started happening to me a few days back aswell; I noticed the change after shooting some balls with my phone in the pocket, screen facing the skin. At some point the phone got insanely hot. When I picked it up all sorts of s*** happened, as if my thigh was able to make touch inputs through the pants? Notification center / quick settings were all toggled randomly. Flashlight, geo location and hotspot were switched on whereas Wifi and Bluetooth were off (which is unusual). And the camera was running with fully brightened screen, which I think was main reason for the heat.
I wasn't sweating extensively; meaning the phone wasn't wet in my pockets or something–
And I don't know if the random screen wake up enabled my thigh to make the touch inputs or of something else happened which from then on let the screen randomly wake up– chicken and egg, you know :F
