Hello everyone,
My phone had been messing up lately, and I'm trying to get back to a stock ROM.
I ran followed the instructions in this thread [RUU] Sprint HTC One | 4.06.651.4 | Encrypted | Decrypted | Stock Rooted ROMs
and everything flashed successfully. But the only thing is the phone won't boot, it goes straight to the bootloader. I've tried flashing a recovery and when I try entering recovery, it kicks back out to fastboot. I've even tried 'fastboot boot recovery.img' but it just freezes at fastboot.
I'm wondering if anyone has ran into this problem and/or have come up with a solution to fix it?
My bootloader reads as such:
*** UNLOCKED ***
M7_WLS PVT SHIP S-OFF RH
CID-SPCS_001
HBOOT-1.56.0000
RADIO-1.00.20.1100
OpenDSP-v32.120.274.0909
OS-4.06.651.4
eMMC-boot 2048MB
Thanks in advanced for your help.
Microchaotic
P.S. Other things to note, I S-Off'd using Firewater if that's information that's at all valuable
Had a similar problem where the guy would just not update and my phone wouldn't boot other then in boot loader. I suggest downing the 4.3 Ruu 3.04.651.02 which seems to be the only ruu that works on both my computer and laptop that were able to boot my phone. After running the Ruu and hopefully your phone turning on your can just check for HTC updates and update your device to 4.4 not until then should you flash a recovery. Hopefully this helps you out . Seems like a lot of work but it has been the only solution that I know for now.

have you relocked your bootloader before trying to run the ruu??because the new hboot 1.56 needs a locked bootloader...me too have faced this problem but no issue now..!! try relocking the bootloader with
fastboot oem lock
now download this firmware( http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23329332407568410) and rename this firmware to firmware.zip and then do this-
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
fastboot reboot
and then run the ruu again...it should work..!!:good::good:
Hit Thanks button if i have helped you..!!

Thx for all your kindness, I'm completely new and noob here and i keep getting ruu error 155 while flashing my htc one back to stock.
I'm using an Asia wwe model, I have already unlock the bootloader and use both Asia wwe RUU from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39588860.
But i still can't update my phone. Here is the information shown in my bootloader screen:

I relock the bootloader , tick allow usb debugging in developer setting, boot into fastboot usb mode and run the ruu as admin, and it wont work. I really need help for this.
Your help will be much appreciate !!!
you need s-off and 1.44 hboot dude
Yeah, Ive just been through all this yesterday. My advice. Well, the safest option is to flash a guru reset rom through your custom recovery from http://www.htc1guru.com/downloads/stock-rom-downloads/. It basically takes your rom and recovery back to stock. I think HTC must've built in protection to the RUU to prevent flashing under Hboot 1.55 to prevent failure of the touch screen........I didn't want to start messing with downgrading bootloaders so I flashed Guru's reset.....I'm now on stock with S-off and "Locked" bootloader.....which GURU also has a flashable zip for.... once again, flash it in recovery....also removes tampered flag if you've got that. Get that here http://www.htc1guru.com/guides/guru-bootloader-reset/
EDIT. Just noticed your S-ON...you need to be S-OFF to do all the above, sorry man.
Dear friends,
I was on Google Play edition rom, and right now I'm trying to go back to stock RUU. Now in the process of doing that I have to flash RUU.zip twice, now when I finished the first flash with RUU.zip, my computer is unable to see the device in a Fastboot mode anymore. (I guess what I flashed change the hboot to 1.44 version and causing some error in Fastboot mode).
And now I'm trying to flash the RUU.zip or anything to chang ethe hboot back via ADB sideload but it doesn't work.
So I guess I'm stuck on this half Google Play edition and cannot go back to Stock now. However, I'm still Root and has TWRP installed on it.
Please help, I really need it.
THis is my status on my device right now:

You're probably using Win8.1, which is incompatible with hboot 1.44, use Win7/XP (maybe 8) or Linux, etc.
Thanks for the help, I'm currently using Win8 at the moment not 8.1. So you think Win7 may do the trick still?

Hi, I have a HTC One M7 that i received from a relative from Asia. I unlocked the bootloader using htcdev website and rooted the phone. I also installed TWRP custom recovery on it and that's it. I really never installed any other ROMs. After a few months of using it, it would reboot constantly and i had to do wipe out everything and do a factory reset then it'll be fine. But after a few months, it'll do it again. I'm tired of this and would like to unroot and re-lock my boot loader so i can also update using OTA from HTC. I read somewhere that all i need to do is relock the boot loader and run the appropriate RUU executable for my phone. The problem i have is i don't know which RUU to use. I went to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2428276 and saw a bunch of M7 RUUs but which one should i use. None of what i listed totally match what i see there. All i know is this phone is from Asia. Please advice...

In the About phone, here's my current info: Android 4.4.2, HTC Sense 5.5.
AFAIK there is no RUU for 4.20.707.6
Since you have a TWRP installed, what you can do is :
1. Make a TWRP backup of current ROM
2. Download and install my 4.20.707.6_stock_odexed.zip : http://sourceforge.net/projects/htcone/files/4.20.707.6_stock_odexed.zip/download
3. Download the 4.20.707.6 stock recovery : http://sourceforge.net/projects/htcone/files/Recovery/STOCK/4.20.707.6.img/download
4. Fastboot flash stock recovery
5. Reboot and check for OTA ... you have to do two OTA update
a) 4.20.707.6 to 5.12.707.3
b) 5.12.707.3 to 6.13.707.1
6. Done ... optional to reflash TWRP and do whatever you want to do.
No need to relock bootloader
Good luck ... will check this thread tomorrow ... my bed time now
worked great!
Followed your instructions and it worked great. Thanks.

Hi everyone,
I just bricked my M7_UL and I need help on how to recover it.
How it was at the beginning (HTC One Stck bought in Spain, no carrier):
M7_UL PVT SHIP S-ON RH
CID-HTC__304
HBOOT-1.54.0000
RADIO-4A.17.3250.14
OpenDSP-v31.120.274.0617
OS-2.24.401.1
eMMC-boot 2048MB
What I did with it:
Unlocked bootloader via HTCDev (successful)
S-OFF'd it (successful)
Changed CID to GOOGL001
Flashed TWRP (successful)
Installed GPe stock ROM on it (successful but radio started failing -frequent 3G problems that required rebooting each time to get service back, Bluetooth problems-)
Flashed Android Revolution GPe (successful, radio problems persist)
Factory reset (went back to GPe stock image, radio problems persist)
Months later I got another phone and wanted to prepare the M7 for selling.
Changed CID back to HTC__304 (successful)
Tried to use RUU to go back to stock (htc_fastboot.exe crashes, the utility reports not the proper OS for the phone)
Flashed CWM (successful)
Flashed Guru Bootloader to relock bootloader (successful)
Tried to use RUU to go back to stock (htc_fastboot.exe crashes, the utility reports not the proper OS for the phone)
Note that I'm still S-OFF.
Tried to flash recommended radio (failed)
Flashed recommended firmware (successful)
And now the phone is in a bootloop.
How it is right now:
M7_UL PVT SHIP S-OFF RH
CID-HTC__304
HBOOT-1.54.0000
RADIO-4A.17.3250.14
OpenDSP-v31.120.274.0617
OS-2.24.401.1
eMMC-boot 2048MB
Bootloader is locked, and recovery fails.
Where should I start to recover the phone?

I would recommend you get s-off now with rumrunner before you up the hboot to 1.56 / 1.57 and have to pay for it
Why do you want to RUU is your phone broken ? or do you just want to update it ?
Download this OTA and remove and flash the firmware.zip in it >> http://www.htc1guru.com/2013/10/t-mobile-3-24-531-3/
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
fastboot reboot
Now flash this RUU >>

yes, the phone is not working. I accidently wiped it about a week ago without having a rom on it and now im stuck in bootloader, I relocked my bootloader and originally wanted to put a custom rom back on the phone but ive been without a phone for too long now and just want it to work again. I have a few questions, do I have to get S-off in order to do what you said above. 2., If so how do i get S off via rum runner, not really a pro with this. And 3, is the RUU you posted the correct one for my htc one.

follow instructions from rumrunner thread, you don't need s-off to flash what he said but if you want to have it, better to do it now because once updated you'll have to use sunshine s-off and it cost 25$. Rumrunner is free.
