Hi all,
In order to help others find solutions quickly can I ask, as there's no way to identify solutions officially, can you edit your titles with a [SOLVED] prefix when you find the answer to your questions. This isn't a general rule or anything I just thought being a new forum we could try start a good habit
Thanks for your help and I'll leave this open if you wish to discuss ways of improving this

after downgrade you can also use CWM to flashing anything you like. Flashing XperimenT 1.7.1 is the best way after you root your device.

Hi chunlianghere,
Thank-you for your reply! I am planning to see if there are any differences between those and the ones in .681 as I am having problems with the Bluetooth in.681 not reading myphonebook when paired with my car audio. When I was on .257 I had no problems at all!
Regards,
Alan
Hi chunlianghere,
Is there any chance of you posting the following files from .257 please -
Bluetooth.apk
Bluetooth.odex
BluetoothExt.apk
BluetoothExt.odex
They are in the /system/app folder
Its much appreciated!

Alan

i tink it wont work if use apk from 257 to 681.
1 thing u could try is to flash baseband only from 257. View attachment C6903_14.1.G.2.257_Baseband.zip
previously had problem like sound stuttering and inconsistent volume. but after i flash 257 baseband, its back to normal.

Hi chunlianghere,
Thank-you for your reply.
I tried that when I was on .290/.136 but that didn't seem to work (for me) either. When I was on .257 I had no problems with the handsfree and phonebook sync to my car audio. 4.3 (.290/.136) completely ruined the handsfree/phonebook to my car audio. 4.4.2 (.681) has made the handsfree work but not the phonebook..
When you flashed the .257 baseband were you on 4.4.2?
Regards,
Alan

u can either disable it. or move out from system/app or system/priv-app, forgot which app or priv-app folder.
mine i tink is deleted. but move it out to /system folder can consider deleted.
Hi chunlianghere,
How can I tell if the baseband flashed correctly? I have just tried it in my car and I still cannot see the phonebook. As I said earlier, it only took about 3 seconds to flash (if it did) and I got no messages from Flashtool. I have got debug mode set on in the phone...
Regards,
Alan
anyway gd news! new firmware will be release next week 7 april to fix sound bug

Few things I'd like to point out :
Bluetooth consists of three parts:
Driver, stack and applications.
Latter should be those apps. I don't see why those should have been changed from version to version.
I think it's kernel related (driver) so you much likely won't be able to fix it.
If it's stack related you might have a chance
Look here for more information. Maybe it'll help

Hi xXFlippyXx,
Thanks for the reply. I have tried flashing the baseband from .257 to my phone and it did not make any difference. I am wondering if you could post the Bluetooth files from .257 so at least I could try them to see if they make any difference.

Hi guys,
my gf recently bought a Xperia SP and for an unknown reason my SP and her's have the same mac-adresse and because of that the same ip-adresse when connected to the same wifi
Both devices have Existenz 4.0 installed and bootloader unlocked (on 3.3 the issue was there too)
So two questions:
- Is it possible that I accidentaly changed the mac-adresse of one device?
- What to do now? Contact Sony or try to change it manually?
I'm really confused

You can spoof your mac adress with apps but it would be best to bring both phones back to the store you bought it from and tell them whats wrong

thx for the fast answer
I contacted Sony support today but they only told me that this is only possible if I rooted my phone and because of that I get no support
So i repaired via Sony PC Companion and now my phone has a different mac-addresse^^
It seems that existenz is changing my mac-adresse
Guess I should post that in existenz discussion thread.
