Hello,
I just downloaded nameless-4.4.2-20140307-p880-NIGHTLY.zip and after flashing it, noticed that every time I receive a call or try to dial out, my dialer hangs and comes up with a message "Unfortunately Dialer has stopped working".
When I receive call, phone rings but I do not see dialer on screen neither screen turns on and hence I cannot answer/reject call and when I dial out, I get this error message, however, I can hear call in the background and again since I don't see the actual dialer, I cannot hang up the call. Until the call is hung up, error keeps popping up as I keel clicking on "Dismiss". Once call is over, no more errors popup.
I have tried downgrading to nameless-4.4.2-20140301-p880-NIGHTLY.zip and even if its installation succeeds, phone does not boot up.
Can someone please help on getting this dialer working/replaced?

the non-intrusive call UI is giving FC's so turn it off in dialer settings or you'll get FC's! This is being fixed.

Thanks for your suggestion, however unfortunately that didn't work.
Just about to flash an update from 8th March. Will let you know if it resolves the issue.

Hi there,
Looks like this update of 8th March has addressed the issue and i am not gettingFC anymore. And noticed that non-intrusive call UI is also missing in dialer configuration. Thanks for your help.

Ok so I have a small issue, when im on the phone and I get a text message i get this really LOUD beep thats really annoying. Even the person im talking to says its really loud. How do I turn that completely off? Ive tried putting my phone on silent mode, there's nothing in the sound settings, call settings or messaging settings that ive found that can fix it. So please someone help me, Im on the avatar rom 2.9b version 4.2.2
You'll probably get better advice in an avatarrom forum. Most messaging apps allow disabling vibrate, led, and sound if desired. Which app are you using?

I'm using an app called Verizon Messages, even the default message app doesn't have anything though. I'm on the phone alot so this is really annoying..
I would go to the Verizon support site and check the FAQ's, app manual, or start a support incident with Verizon support.
I tried searching for this issue but I am not finding anything. After updating to Android 4.4, I am having some kind of texting issue about 50% of the time. What happens is, I am typing a text message in landscape mode and I hit send and nothing happens. I flip the phone and when it goes into portrait mode, the text area goes black (keyboard is still active at the bottom of the screen). I also cannot backspace in the message. All 3 of these effects happen together as a result of some weird glitch. I can hit the home button, then go back into that text thread and there's no draft saved. The second attempt is always successful. This only happens in text messaging. I'm using the standard built-in keyboard and I do not have Google Hangouts linked to my text messaging. I have no idea how to fix this. Any help is appreciated.

I know its not ideal but a factory reset is the most u can really do without system access
T-Mobile HTC One 4.4 texting issues after update
I am also having texting problems too after the update. I still text using "phone" which is the old school flip phone t9 method. Several major and annoying problems have occurred after the update. First issue, auto space is forced and can't be turned off so after making up words or trying to add punctuation it will put a space and I have to back up and erase the space. The other issue is some simple words like "go" and "am" won't generate when trying to create the words using t9 also known as "phone"
I need this problem resolved or I will go nuts

T-Mobile HTC 4.4 update issues
I don't want to have to download 3 party texting applications when the stock HTC texting app is perfectly fine up until this defective 4.4 update.
They said some people were experiencing issues. I just suggested using a third party until an update either for the phone or the individual app comes out.

if a factory reset doesnt help only your carrier can help
Well, I did a factory reset and it was good for a couple of days and now it's starting to do the same thing again. Any other ideas? Do I have to talk to Verizon and/or HTC now? I've had the phone for about 5 months now. I feel like if I could just reinstall the 4.4 update that would fix the issue.
I am using ASUS Zenfone a450cg and i am pretty upset with the interface that is used to receive calls, to be precise my prob is while i bring my phone out of my pocket, often the Reject Call with Message option gets activated thus end the incoming call. Is there any way to change the default interface. I have tried installing a few Dialers bt that didnt helped. Does installing a custom ROM will help me? If so, which one should i look for and what are the procedures, precaution should i look for? Please help guys...

Just go to Play Store and download App Locker... Then in its locking options lock incoming calls and set a pattern.. This way you will be asked to enter that particular pattern every time you receive a call and you won't be accidentally rejecting calls... Much better than going for a custom ROM... Works with my Zenfone Hit Thanks if I helped you...
Update to LOLLIPOP and update contact app and in its settings disable reject sms and it lock screen call ui show swipe to ans and rej..

But there is no number on the screen. There is nothing. After a few Seconds, this screen closes automaticly. In the recent tab is no dialer app or anything else. Not even in the dialer history is an information about this secret call.

Sounds like a bug or malicious software. You should backup your phone then do method 2 here https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/how-to/guide-mega-unbrick-guide-hard-bricked-t3405700. Don't restore data yet and test, just update to latest. If the error persists it is a bug, if it doesn't it was probably malware.
Try to get a screenshot of it. Can't help if we don't know what it is.
But yeah it's probably malware.

Here is a screenshot. I don't know why this happened. I wiped my phone completely 4 days ago and this even comes up.

When I call somebody, the dialer on the notification bar continuously disappears and appears, preventing me from accessing the call interface and hunging up the call, and when i get called the phone rings but i cant answer because the interface doesn't even appear. I already tried to use another dialer app, but the problem remains.

Same problem here since yesterday, dialer go crazy, a can't answer call, if i make call i can't hang up.
I also install new dialer as temporary solutions. What is going on is someone know solution how to fix this??
I got the same problem now aswell, it has to do with some kinda of update, and the phone goes crazy hot while in call...
you should be correct. it goes also very hot in call.
as of now I can't find a solution.
I am working on saving everything I can before a reset...
just to let you know that a factory reset resoled this on my side.
After that, everything goes back to normal.

I install True Phone Dialer & contact. But after i make new app default i got same problem, so then i disable all notification in old app and now it is working ok

By the old app i meant default huawei dialer app
