no problem Out of interest , which method did you use?
I used both of them, and i got same unlock pin code in either case. I think that second one (one with pushing .sh file) is a little bit easier to read. Greetings, and thank you once again.

I used both methods also and got same code. now if there was a way to unlock the device once and not have to unlock everytime a sim is changed that would be awesome.

Solar... one you input a simunlock code it should permanently enable any sim to be used?
That tested on mine, i have 4 different sims with other providers and they all worked and after seeing this they still do

I tried to follow the instructions however I never got the unlock code or I am just being dumb when I use method 2 my results are identical to your 2nd screenshot,
there is no 3rd line of text?
Using the first option what I see is very similar to your first screenshot with Vodafone instead of O2. But again no code that I can see.
I have tried inserting simcards from t-mobile and O2 however I never get asked to enter a code. Not that I have a code to enter, I wish I could work out where I am going wrong.

The phone is a friends who got it from someone it was on vodafone rru and had the branding on startup and shut down, before I rooted it and put on CWM and Nameless Rom, but when I try my t-mobile sim card it doesn't get a signal for when, unfortunately I do not know if this was an issue as it wasn't supplied to me with a sim card.
I will contact my friend and see if he can supply me his sim card so I can test it. Hopefully as you say it is unlocked. Not sure when i will get the sim card to be able to test it though.

hmmm when you say doesnt get signal.... i wonder if its because its a vodafone branded desire C... it will have everything for Voda hard wired in the device... and wont have any t-mo APNs etc. TMo arent exactly friendly when it comes to APN info unlike other providors like O2 & Voda
I wonder if that is the issue is that no data APNs are selected....

If you want to get your unlock code, you need to flash a Custom Rom, NAmeless For Example.
Once thats been done, you can install busybox and follow the instructions and you get your code.
i managed to succesfully unlock my Desire C
its a stock phone, bought it from Asda UK - on T-Mobile network
although it doesent have any t-mobile branding or carrier apps or boot up logo like most phones have
after unlocking my bootloader and using r1-superuser Root, it went very smooth
but one thing i did notice that seems odd, my IMEI is different in the command shell
to what is displayed in the phone
xxxxxxxxx584298 - displayed from phone
xxxxxxxxx5842901 - displayed on the command shell

Hello,
i have a Sprint HTC One from a Friend, he bought it in the US not knowing it was Simlocked and took it to Germany. He gave it to me to make it possible to use it here with our T-Mobile Network. I have already being able to remove the Simlock but there is one thing i cant remove, its the damn Activation Process from Sprint. The Phone can be used now but its anoying every time you start the divice. Also its not possible to flash a AOSP Rom because it doesnt let me get trough the setup process without activating. Is there any possibility to ged rid of the Activation Process? I didnt find this in the Forum but when there is a Thread about this already pls give me a link. Thank you!

If u flash an aosp it is possible to bypass activation. Since the activation is part of the gapps all u have to do is flash an aosp then boot and then when ur in just boot back to the recovery and flash the gapps and u should be good.

The device doesn't have to be initialized to be flashed. You can get the bootloader unlocked using the developer token and then fastboot flash in the ROM you want.
No, he wants to have it SIM Unlocked to use with GSM carriers over in Germany. He hates how it attempts to activate on Sprints network every time he boots up. He doesn't want that. He has no issues unlocking bootloader. All he needs to do is install ROM through recovery but do not install GApps until setup is complete.

Okay, i have already flashed other Roms but the Sprint Roms have the activation and with the aosp i cant get Signal in the german Networks..
That, I believe is merged into the Phone.apk but it may not be.

I imported my HTC first from America and a major problem I found was that the WiFi didn't work. I was prepared to return my phone citing hardware problems but I waited and instead tried to find a solution by myself. I finally got it working.
This thread is for all others who have the same problem that I did.
Temporary Fix
1) unlock boot loader, root and do s-off
2) you must be running ruu 1.08.502.1
3) make your way to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1445766
There you can see many people have the similar problem.
Follow the instructions and install the app by the OP
(Make sure push the wifix app in the /system/app folder) verify the app is working properly by dialing the code given in the other thread. Open the wifix manager and set code to 'us'
4) if you read the thread you will see the app works for android 4.0 but most users having jellybean report it as not working
5) try the steps of post #250 (I used the AT&T code)
6) now whenever you restart make sure WiFi is switched OFF before reboot. When your phone boots up again make sure you're getting network signals, then open the market changer app and select AT&T. Then turn on the WiFi.
7) your Wi-Fi can see and connect to access points!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
UPDATE 13/5/2014
WIFI NOW WORKS 100%
Ok with a lot of digging around I finally managed to fix my wifi. Sim inserted or not, wifi on/off at reboot or whatever, it doesn't matter because wifi always works. And no need for any annoying apps to run at boot!
For this method I had to endure a lot of headaches -_-
Had to search the whole internet, learn about adb commands, logcat, compiling .jar files etc
1) unlocked bootloader, rooted , s-off and running deodexed 1.08.502.4 . I did this on a clean install with no wifix/wifi codes/market unlocker
2)
First you have to learn how to compile and extract jar files:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2251719
You just have to read "1. How to Decompile and Recompile *.jar file or classes.dex"
3) THIS STEP NO LONGER NEEDED *Removed*
4)
You need to read this too:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2628707
modify "framework2.jar" which is present in /system/framework
And after you have decompiled, open on your PC
classout/com/android/internal/telephony/MccTable.smali
recompile framework2.jar , put it back in androids /system/framework and set permissions to Rw-r-r
Now we have to modify another file
This time its the /system/framework/framework.jar
after decompiling open in PC : classout/com/android/net/wifi/WifiStateMachine.smali
and edit as per the second post in the link, recompile and paste it back into system/framework,set permissions to Rw-r-r
Note : its best to use adb commands to copy and paste the framework files from android to PC and vice versa
(namely adb pull and adb push)
then do some extra steps:
"Extra step 1
click on "/system/build.prop" and open in any text editor(on android);
seek line
ro.product.locale.region=GB
and change GB to US; confirm OK for save file.
mount /system R
Extra step 2
because of first boots, in Settings database is written our country code,
which should be US.
for this: install "Sqlite Editor" (android app), run, grant ROOT access. after program finds
& lists databases, look for & open "Settings Storage" > settings.db > global:
find "wifi_country_code", select it and press menu button > Edit Record;
change value to US and press "save" "
Reboot.
Congrats!! Wifi now works no matter what you do!
(as long as your wifi is on channels 1-11 , if youre on channel 12 or 13 then I think you need to change wifi country code to an european country instead of 'us')
Note: Be sure to thank the original authors in the threads i've linked.
As usual, do these steps at your own risk, I am not responsible for your bricked devices. Do report if it worked for you.
Also I know i've made quite a bit of mess. Do tell if you have any problems with the steps. I was thinking about posting my own framework.jar and framework2.jar but i'm not sure if they are safe to share or they contain private data. I'll need to confirm from someone.

100% Work For Gsm Unlock Stock 4.4.2 ( Permanent )
Step 1 - Unlockbootloader-custom recovery-root-s.off
- Unlock bootloader from htc dev
- donwload and Install Custom Recovery TWRP link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2698400
- download and install SuperSu from TWRP link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2698400
- S-Off Using firewater and follow Instructions (normal, rooted device method) link http://firewater-soff.com/instructions/ or Using Sunshine (25$)
Step 2 -
Download HTCOMADM_SPCS.apk and put in internal storage phone
Download and install root explorer
Download and install htc one sim unlockhelper from playstore
Step 3 -
Open root explorer and hit button Mount r/w for permission read.write
Backup original HTCOMADM_SPCS.apk and HTCOMADM_SPCS.odex by changing the file name ( anything that is easy to remember ) From /system/app directory
After rename the original file, copy modded file HTCOMADM_SPCS.apk to /system/app directory and make sure you have set the permission rw-r-r and reboot device
Step 4 - Begin Sim Unlock
Open htc one sim unlock helper on your phone, it will say htc one device check fail. now click the 3 menu dot and click on "Display SIM Unlock Log" It might ask you for Permissions. Make sure to Grant them. After that it will say "SIM Unlock Log". There shouldn't be anything there. Now hit the back button and now it should say Device Verified, Root Available etc.
Next hit "start" button. If everything goes well, within seconds you should be in the OMADM Test Client Menu and Scroll all the way down to the end and tap the selection SIMLOCK. The phone will freeze a couple of seconds and then return to normal. Once done and normal, tap the back button and the SIM Unlock Helper should show SIM Unlock Results. If it says Successful, hit back button then show Device Verified, Root Available etc menu again. Then reboot the phone manually from power button
Step 5 -
Once Rebooted, Insert your SIM Card of your GSM Carrier and go to your Settings> Mobile Data> Network Mode. Once you tap that, Tap GSM/UTMS Only. If successful your phone will switch from Sprint to the GSM carrier. All there is next is to setup your APN settings to be able to receive the carriers data services.
Step 6 -
delete the modded file HTCOMADM_SPCS.apk
And rename the original HTCOMADM_SPCS.apk and HTCOMADM_SPCS.odex to original state which we renamed in previous steps to avoid vdm client stopped error
Step 7 - optional
Changing signal logo to H or 3G icon
open root explorer then open in text editor file default.xml from /system/customize/ACC
Scroll all the way down find this line <item type="integer" name="sku_id">10</item>
Change the number to 42 and save
reboot

HTC ONE M8 Sprint Unlock - NEED HELP
Hello guys
I just bought a US Sprint Version M8 and It is driving me Crazy.
I still am not able to unlock it. HELP HELP
My device is htvdev boot loader unlocked.
S-off
Rooted as well
I first tried the Universal sim unlock method via http://www.sieempi.eu where you flash in the config.dat file via simlock option, everything failed except it said successfully applied imei code.
I popped in a foreign gsm sim card, still it was locked. Nothing happened
I than proceeded with the SuperCid 11111111 trick, I was able to change the code successfully.
But when I tried in ma foreign sim card. Nothing worked.
After doing the above two steps I than tried the HTCOMADM_SPCS.apk mod trick on my currently installed stock rom.
I renamed the original HTCOMADM_SPCS.apk and HTCOMADM_SPCS.odex to something else
And pasted modified HTCOMADM_SPCS.apk and changed permission to rw-r-r.
I ran sim unlocker helper program, granted it SU rights reached the page with the start button but when I press the start button no pop up window appears. Nothing happens at all.
I than decided to flash my Stock Rom to BSC_Stock_Rooted_M8_RLS_21 Rom
I tried the same trick and switched the original HTCOMADM_SPCS.apk with the modified file.
I open sim unlocker helper, grand su access and it takes me to start button but when I press start nothing happens still.
Now with the new Rom when I pop in the sim card I get Invalid Card. Please contact customer care.
Note: I also changed the network to gsm only directly via the menu and also by using the #*#*4636*#*# code
Attached is a screen shot :
Can someone tell me what am I doing wrong?

Great. I might need a couple of files from your phone, since you have received the official unlock straight from Sprint. I am also hoping your phone was first activated on Sprint as well.
To extract those files, you will need to be S-Off and rooted on a Sense ROM. Let me know if you can provide those files, as they are needed to enable roaming and Wi-Fi Tethering options on a non-activated Sprint M8 when using on GSM abroad.
Your help will be really appreciated.

Cool mate. Once I get those files from you, I will be able to write a proper guide how to get everything working on GSM abroad. I am downloading a ROM right now. As soon as I am done, I will unlock and S-off the phone and then send you my Hangouts id.

Everythin mentioned in the guide here.
However 1 change : I changed CID to super CID.
Remember in step 3 after renaming the files, do reboot of your phone, and then run the app.
1st time I forgot and it didn't work. Second time I redid step 3, rebooted and went on to step 4 and 5

If you're running an odex rom you may also have to wipe dalvik after renaming the files.

Ok, so i think i figured it out how to get the start menu to pop up for those who cant achieve it:
If you already followed the OP but didnt reboot the first time and so, didnt get the pop up menu, even if you delete the modified .apk and reinstalled it and then reboot the phone and open the HTC unlocker app, if you y dont get the Pop up menu, What you have to do is:
1.- open root Explorer and delete HTC unlocker folder
2.- go to setting/apps/delete data from the HTC unlocker app
3.- follow the OP instructions and DONT FORGET TO SET ROOT PERMISSIONS AND REBOOT
Hope this help to those who cant get the pop up menu in the Sprint HTC one m8

cant rename files
Hi all
I can't rename the files on the root.
Do I need to flash a custom rom or it can be done on the sprint rom?
Please help cause I'm trying for two days to sim unlock my new sprint HTC M8
Thanks
Hi Guys. First off I'm posting this for information in hopes to help anyone else having this problem. I'll go over the problem I was having. What caused the problem for me and the steps I took to resolve it.
Problem:
A Handsfree activation bootloop. More specifically, no matter which rom, RUU, OTA, recovery or firmware I flashed, my phone would go threw a HFA and PRL update, say that it was successful and reboot on it's own and start the process over again. If at some point by chance I could catch it and disable the vDM.apk would be the only way I could stop it and boot normally. I tried resetting my profile, factory resets, Sprint support (which was completely useless) and everything else mentioned above. I even threw the kitchen sink in for good measure. lol. I was able to make phone calls, receive text and mms. I even had LTE and 3G service. But my wifi calling and sprint zone didn't work. So I knew something wasn't activating properly.
Cause:
Well for me it started when I accidentally flashed a M7 rom. Yeah don't laugh, it happens. Anyway, in recovery it said it failed but not before it formatted "/dev/block/mmcblk0p37" which is the system partition on the M7. But on the M8, it's the /carrier partition. So it erased all my info and filled it with a bunch of s**t. To the point that the partition was full and activation couldn't write to it. It also injected a bunch of s**t in "/dev/block/mmcblk0p39" which is the /devlog partition on the M8. So just a big mess. This is just how I got to this point. I'm not saying this your cause but the fix might help you.
Fix:
1 Get your self to a point that you are booted up to a rom. If you can't, try flashing an international rom made for sprint like "insert coin" for example. Those don't HFA bootloop from my experience.
2 Download MSL reader from the market. And get your MSL you'll need it later.
3 With a good root explorer, go to /carrier folder, do a backup of it (just in case) open the folder and delete everything in the folder.
4 Go to /devlog folder, open it and delete everything in there. (You don't need this stuff, it will rewrite itself).
5 Download the zip at the bottom of the post, extract it and copy the contents to your /carrier folder. Don't worry about the /devlog folder. leave it empty.
6 Now your going to flash a RUU. Download the one you want. I used https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95784891001604379 (Don't worry it won't get you S-on or lock your bootloader). It will probably do a HFA again and it should fail. If not, try disabling it. Because we need to get to the dialer.
7 In your dial pad enter ##786# and go to edit mode. Enter your MSL if it asks you. Go to the menu button at the upper right and hit reset. Go threw the promps, the phone should reboot and restore. Let it boot up. It will go threw HFA again. But now you'll notice it activated properly. At this point your all done. Flash a custom recovery again. Profit.
Special Thanks to @Captain_Throwback You rock.
Let me know if this helps. Please post any questions and I'll try guiding you threw.

What ROM?
If it is stock based you can try this, either go through TWRP and select file manager or do this in the zip before flashing.
Go to system/app/HtcOMADM_SPCS and rename the apk by adding .bak after .apk.
After the phone boots and you pass setup you can always rename the file by removing the .bak
You might get better results by posting this question in that ROM thread, or make a thread in the Q&A and put the ROM name in the title of the thread.
