Maybe I'm being dumb, but your signature says your phone is a 'Galaxy S'
Also, you need to provide a hell of a lot more info if you expect a decent answer.

Make a fresh installation.Wipe /system /data /cache and if possible wipe /data/media <--- wipes the internal sd card.
Then flash CM11
Because cm is poo?

Ok, so what is the next step to unroot this thing and return it to stock
EDIT: I ran the directions as posted here:

I'm not sure if this is correct or not though... I'm just trying to do a handset exchange is all
Thanks!
EDIT EDIT: I see that it did not wipe my internal SD card... I must have done something wrong?

You can just now run a factory reset that will totally clean out your sdcard of all data.

I bought an Xperia Z today, unlocked the bootloader, rooted successfully and put a recovery on it, now I try to flash a pre-rooted .253 firmware but apparently I need an external SD-card, read the how-to: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2282415

I see people succeed in reverting back to stock through beta 4 but i can't. I have no idea why too but guess I have to stick with beta 4/5 for a while.

What else do you flash with ???
Let's say that 4.3 update has knox bootloader and not everyone wants to void their warranty by updating theirs.
Hmm.. It is also possible to flash only kernel by MobileOdin, I am curious whether it will boot then...

In fact some guys reported on this. And I am not able to flash stock kernel from mine ported boeffla either.
However I don't need stock kernel for anything, therefore it isn't the most important issue

just want to ask if how is the procedure on upgrading TWRP? do i need to flash it thorugh odin? or can i just flash it using TWRP?
2.7.0 ----> 2.7.1
Edit:
how about baseband? is there any difference in changing it? currently im on DXAMJ1, does it have any difference on performance?
or battery saving?

Basebands here. The performance is not affected (I think), but the battery yes. In my case I use XANA2 instead ANC2 (newest one for I8190).

CM encrypts the phone by default, so no point in doing that, and for the other AOSP roms most of them don`t force encryption. Choose format data in TWRP to decrypt, will wipe the phone entirely so backup first, after encryption use adb push to copy a rom/gapps to the sdcard to flash in recovery.

Yes it should, but the problem is that after every CM update the phone is probably encrypted again (though i`am not sure 100%). BTW encryption doesn`t make your phone slower and the difference when decrypted is minimal and hardly/not noticable imo.

cm doesnt unencrypt, so id assume cm based roms dont either. what you want to do is flash a aosp based rom, and kernel, then you want to format your userdata and cache, then reboot. only then you will be unencrypted. you will lose everything in your phone and in storage. but.. whats the point of unencrypting? you dont gain any advantages, none.
