So I'm currently on 4.3 and very hesitate to upgrade to 4.4 Kitkat because I'm not sure about that Method gonna work with 4.4.
I dig in and found some users had successfully unlock their phone with NAE modem by downgrade to MDC (even on 4.3 MK2 you can downgrade to MDC).
So I think we need a confirmation since there was a lot of ppl really want to eat a Kitkat.

I'm currently running sacs custom kit kat 4.4.2 V2 for my sprint gs4 (L720) with Samsung official MDF boot, NAE baseband, NAE version software, android version 4.4.2 , one of the smoothest ROMS I've ever flashed, definitely considering how young it is. Can be a tricky process tho. I went from rooted 4.2 to stock rooted mja, then accident flashed the MK2 firmware thinking it was a modem only MK2.tar that only half way worked. only option was to flash @Unknownforce s stock rooted NAE, which was an awesome rom. Thanks again @Unknownforce!!!! THEN I just flashed the original NAE .tar.md5 and was back to full stock status, except the know 0x1. Rerooted, flashed philz and sacs rom and WOW! @sacs23 kit kat 4.4 V2, sooo smooth. Even through I ended up trippin the Knox counter, (long before @sac23 4.4,), Triangle away still resets my binary and system status, and on sacs you get no SE ANDROID ect messages. I would definitely recommend @sacs lol I could go on more, but I'm sure yall don't Wana here me babble. Lol

I just went back down to mdc like sacs kit kat thread shows, upgraded up to nae, and installed negarom on another phone I was having weird issues with. I have a feeling it's because I went from mf9 modem to nae modem. And skipped mk2 on the problem phone.
You can go back and forth if you are on the mf9 bootloader. It just takes a while to download everything you need if you don't already have the files.

Official Gingerbread SBF release for AT&T

http://www.filesonic.com/file/15073...signed-ATT-US-GAS_NA_OLPSGBATTSPE_P011.sbf.gz
WARNING : FLASH THIS SBF ONLY IF YOU ARE STILL RUNNING STOCK AT&T 2.2.2 WITH A LOCKED BOOTLOADER. ONCE YOU FLASH THIS ANY ATTEMPT AT A DOWNGRADE TO A PREVIOUS VERSION WILL BRICK YOUR PHONE.
If you are running anything else using this could increase your chances of bricking. Read the thread before flashing !!!!
This SBF is intended for people who don't want to deal with rooting and unlocking and OTA's and blur removal and fastboot and recovery and blah, blah blah I'm going to brick my phone regardless of what I do stuff.
It's also meant for people who have patience and want to upgrade safely who don't want to deal with Motorola Software Update because of the OS they're running.
It's an original SBF plain and simple.
Compression MD5 - 37D7E7D002B921F98D47BAD85DB55532
SBF MD5 - 56721D893E43B814E95683A00B165555
Read eval-s post below to clear up the confusion.
Would not use if you've unlocked with pudding. Will probably soft brick or worse.
Locked phones should be safe.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1138204 (see post #2) for an unlocked version (with root).
I am complete noob in atrix,But i want to know that i have unlocked my atrix but if i flash New Firmware GB,Will it make my atrix again locked plz tell me.
is this the final version?
If i flash back to 1.8.3 will it be locked again? And update to official from there
I dont know about this sbf, but the service sbf i got from the motorola software update tool worked fine with the leaked ota (which is apparently the same as the official ota) and i was unlocked before i flashed it
edit: the compressed md5sum from the op is the same as the one i got from the motorola server which i flashed via rsd 5.3.1 with an unlocked bootloader. so apparently it is a sirvice sbf
edit: i also flashed zomgunlock-lite.sbf after i flashed the sbf
So is it safe to update if ur unlocked already...is this update unlockable? Im currently rooted and bl unlocked....

Read the second post, or try and post your brick results!
I also recommend not using. I used the 4.5.91 SBF a long time ago and bricked my phone shortly thereafter.
No, this .sbf is safe. It will just burn your fuse, just like the OTA, and make downgrading to anything impossible. To downgrade, you will have to use something that includes pudding, and you will have to 'oem unlock' ...that's all.
The .sbf is no more unsafe than the OTA. And once you've OTA'd, if you see "Failed to boot 4" this .sbf is the ONLY thing you can flash if you want to stay locked. Basically, if you have even started the OTA process, or have ever flashed this .sbf, you burned a fuse in ReservedOdm and have only two types of .sbfs you can flash. This one, or any+Pudding. Only this one will let you stay locked and still boot.
If you flash anything with Pudding after the OTA and you are still locked, you will see 0x1000. But it will be a soft-brick, and then your only choice will be to:
a) 'fastboot oem unlock' to continue.
or
b) flash this .sbf instead, and stay locked.
An AT&T user should never see 0x1000 from flashing this .sbf.
But afterwards, downgrades are dangerous. 'Official' AT&T 4.5.91 users will hard-brick their phones with 0x1000, stuck in nvflash mode, if they ever try to use any .sbf except this one, or the very special non-motorola version of 1.8.3 (found in the Pudding thread) or Pudding itself. In the later case, you can still escape the 0x1000 by unlocking. If you flashed stock 1.8.3 or below after running GB 4.5.91 officially, your phone is a paperweight. Be warned.

so this include at&t stock GB kernel ( already posted by faux) and the well known .30P radio rigth?

Eval, can you give us the path to cat eFuse status again and the comparison against which we can tell whether we've passed the point of no return with bootloaders? I would like to see where I'm at. Thanks.
So is this a service or full sbf for 4.5.91?
I am currently running locked and stock At&t 1.8.3. I want to update to this new OTA sbf. I read eval's post.
However, can someone confirm (break it down for me) that it is possible and probably safe to unlock the phone later using pudding or some other means. I am not an advanced user but will like to flash CM7 once its available.

Hi,Pianoman91,you can unlock your device method downgrade- flashing firmware 4.1.1 from this forum:http://www.htcmania.com/showthread.php?t=738977
You need previously root your device, install a custom recovery and then flash firmware 4.1.1. Then use the hidden menu. This must to work! Before you must to make all backups.
Once done, you can flash again 4.3 frmware. You have to be aware that this proces will change Knox status from 0X0 to 0X1. This method is tested and works.Make on your own risk.
Thanks a develloper fzeta !

As mentioned, using this does trigger the Knox counter- but if that doesn't bother you then it's worth doing this method to unlock your phone. After I'd used Odin to go back to 4.1 and unlocked the networks I just reconnected the phone to Kies and it then updated the firmware back to 4.3. Tried a Vodafone Sim card in my phone today to make sure it was unlocked and it worked perfectly.

We are talking about two different methods,Pianoman91.I think if you try flash oficial firmware from 4.3/official/ to 4.1.1 trough Odin you will not be able to do it.Downgrade to bootloader 4.3 it is impossible in this time. But if we apply the method I mentioned should work .You should flashing trough Custom recovery a firmware modified.

No you can not flash the T mobile bootloader. Odin can flash a bootloader if the bootloader is unlocked only. Yes your OF3 has a locked bootloader as this phone has always had it locked and no one has been able to unlock it. No you can not install any custom rom. If you want a T mobile rom you will most likely need to port it to your phone (no i don't know how) best to stick with AT&T roms if you don't know how to port.

I've been running both TMS5 and Twi5ted for a while (Android 5.0). I've had on-going annoying issues with both. TMS5 freezes quite often, and Twi5ted will randomly reboot. Is there a way to install (Odin) a stock Rom (i.e. from here) and stay rooted, or flash one and re-root? If so, could I install the 5.1.1 version or stay on 5.0? I just realized as well that, with Twi5ted being based on TMobile, it shows my model number as G900T vs. the original G900A.
Thanks.

First use ODIN to get TWRP onto the device and then flash the supersu zip like usual.
I was thinking of just using flashfire to flash BL and modem only then install the rom..that way it doesnt overwrite recovery... bad idea ?

I had a T-mobile Note 4 (N910T) on 5.0.1 , downgraded to KitKat 4.4.4, when Lolipop 5.1.1 came out I upgraded. rooted, and then flashed custom rom Tekxodus .. phone used to restart randomly .. later discovered that once you upgrade OK2 you get locked and no longer can downgrade to KK.
later on, the phone started to give mmc error and then just died.
Lesson Learned, stay on 5.0.1 or downgrade to 4.4.4 and stay there.
I still wonder if Android 6.0.1 Locks down the downgrade process to 4.4.4. I doubt it will allow it.
