No notifications from Note III to Gear? - Samsung Galaxy Gear

A few days ago my Gear was acting weird. I wanted to add a new notification through the Gear Manager application through my phone, but it started installing some apps when I opened the app. I let it install the apps, but for some reason it tells me to connect my Gear to my phone using NFC (like it hasn't been configured).
When I connect it through Bluetooth, it will connect without issues. However it says "Connected to phone audio" and the notification icon is gone.
I can receive calls but notifications doesn't appear.
Any idea why?
Thanks

[Q] Galaxy Gear keeps playings ringtones in MUTE/VIBRATE mode

Hi there, I have my Galaxy Gear 1 running NULL_23
But I have the problem that it keeps playing the same ringtones that I set for my iPhone even though I already put my GEAR into MUTE or VIBRATION mode. Its very annoying when I'm in class.
Does your Gear do the same?
I'm trying to see if I upgrade my Gear 1 to TIZEN OS, and it will completely 100% mute in MUTE or VIBRATION mode or not. Because my main function is just answer call and time. However, not sure if the Tizen OS is pairing with iPhone somehow. I remember I read some thread saying that the Tizen OS is able to pair with any phone via bluetooth, but you need to install some 3rd party bluetooth connection so that non Samsung phone can pair with it. However I cant find it again anymore.

Gear 2 not getting Phone calls

I have a note 3 stock 5.0 and stock gear 2 with all updates. My gear receives all notifications except phone calls. I even get missed call notifications. I can also use gear 2 dialer to make phone calls. I have tried restarting phone and restarting gear 2. Even tried connecting and disconnecting gear 2. Also toggle bluetooth. Watch is connected in bluetooth to phone audio.
Is there some setting I am missing. Everything works except I cannot reject or receive a phone call. Gear does not respond at all when phone is ringing. Please help if you can. I really need this function. I know it used to work. I cann9t find phone as a separate item on the notifications list. I don't know if it should be there to check.

Is my Samsung Connect broken?

2 things:
SM-N950F vs. My phone (Galaxy Note8) audio output
Gear Sport preference reset
(links are to cropped screenshots)
First, I somehow have 2 audio devices available at all times and the default is the "wrong" one. Whenever I disconnect from an external audio device (plug-in earphones, car's bluetooth, etc) it defaults to "SM-N950F" which is just silent all the time and I have to manually change to "My phone (Galaxy Note8)" every time. If I open the Samsung Connect app manually neither audio device is listed anywhere for me to change the default or find any detailed info.
Second, no matter how many times I tell it not to show my Gear Sport in the notification panel it "forgets" this setting seemingly at random. Not a massive annoyance seeing it in the notification panel, but it is a massive annoyance that Samsung Connect apparently doesn't give a sh*t about my preferences.
I only got both devices on Wednesday 17th and I set the OS and all apps to update automatically even over mobile data so everything should be the latest version. I haven't tried uninstalling Samsung Connect yet as I'm worried it'll get stuck on the "SM-N950F" audio device and then I have to wipe my phone or something.
Anyone encounter something similar before?

Bluetooth issue

Dear all
First post so here goes. Had my 7 plus exactly a week.
Specs as follows:
Model TA 1055
Android 8.1
1st June 2018 Security patch
unrooted but themed with Substratum (Swift Black)
So my phone won't detect either my amazon bluetooth adapter plugged into my bedside radio or my creative bluetooth speakers. My lenovo p2 can find these without issue. Strangely it can connect to my PC's bluetooth which gives a passcode. I've cleared bluetooth cache and still not fixed. Anybody else had bluetooth issues?
TA-1046 here with June patch and I have bluetooth issues as well.
I was not able to connect my Gear S3 smartwatch to my phone, untill I decided to turn off BT and turn it back on again.
Suddenly it worked.
Then I was not able to update my S3 apps from the Samsung App Store, untill I stopped BT and turned it back on again.
It seems to me that there is a BT issues in the June patch.
How it was before, I don't know as I received this phone 2 days ago and it updated automatically to June update.
Sorry for adding more negativity to this forum than assistance.
I am also having similar problem with connecting to my LG sound bar. It picks it up when i search, saves it but does not connect.
BT issues
Well unfortunately I have to say same. BT even can't see any device during scanning. Other devices each between other works. Other devices also see N7+ and can pair with it. Seems like scanning doesn't work for me on N7+.
I tried reset networks, clear BT cache couple of times - didn't changed anything. Still wanna avoid factory reset.
No mods, no root.
I'm bit surprised (in the sad way) by this device :-/
In the meantime BT has worked quite well for a couple of days, untill today.....
I could connect to my Gear S3, but not much later I notice new notifications on my phone but no popup on my watch.
It turned out that BT was not connected anymore.
Manually connected and the same process happens again.
Untill I rebooted my phone. From then on, my watch stayed paired with the phone and didn't loose connection.

Try resetting your Gear S3 to factory defaults and remove BT settings on phone.
(also clear BT cache).
I had to set up my watch a couple of times.
Still it disconnects sometimes, but then a normal reboot of the phone helps to get the connection back.
Submitted this to another thread, but I'll copy paste it here.
I recently got Bluetooth headphones and found that playback easily got choppy if a part of my body was in between my headset and phone, or if the phone got locked. I did find a solution to this however, and not sure if it would work for everyone that has Bluetooth issues as well.
It seems as if Bluetooth has its own app on Android 8.1, and due to this, it's getting managed by Doze or the automatic app power saving that's on by default. I switched off battery management using the following steps:
1. Go to Settings
2. Apps & Notifications
3. Tap on the option that says "See all x apps"
4. Tap on the top right hand 3 dots.
5. Tap on "Show system"
6. Scroll down until you find "Bluetooth" and tap on it
7. Tap on Battery
8. Tap on Battery Optimisation
9. Press the blue dropdown that should say "Not optimised", and select "All apps"
10. Find Bluetooth again, tap on it.
11. Optimise should be ticked, tick "Don't Optimise" instead, then press Done.
My Nokia 7 plus cannot find other Bluetooth devices.
I cleared cache, went to battery optimisation settings, ticked on the Bluetooth icon and selected *"Don't optimise"* turned on my Bluetooth to search for other devices and still this same problem persists. Can't find other Bluetooth devices including phones, tablets and headsets. I'm really confused on why there should be such a problem. I don't want to Reset to Factory settings. But I'm not being left with any other choice. I'm so upset that I have to spend so much and yet other cheap phones can search for other devices so easily.. please I need a solution immediately

Simple Tasker set up Bugging Me

I used Tasker years ago and was successful in many tasks.
Recently purchased new Plantronics bluetooth headset for work wear, went back to Tasker and thought I'd set up a simple task to read out via the BT headset incoming SMS. So re Installed Tasker and
Profile connected to Bluetooth + received SMS
Task Say %SMSRN %SMSRB
Press play in the task and reads out perfectly the last received message. When task running and message received doesn't work!
OnePlus 6 Android 9 Omni tresk
All permissions granted for Tasker, notification access on for Tasker, Device Admin granted to Tasker and not optimised in battery settings.
Anyone shed some light please.
Edit
Further checking and testing shows set up works fine when screen on. Only not working when screen off. Run in background for tasker allowed. The connected to PLT headset goes green when it should IE when headset connected.
I have a similar profile that works fine screen off, but my Recieved Text Any looks different than yours. idk if that matters.
