[Q] "Zoe Camera Music Files?" being pulled from the internet - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am using Poweramp as my music player. Every few days, Poweramp will pull the following mp3's into my music library....
music_clean.mp3
music_foreston.mp3
music_jardinia.mp3
music_los_dales.mp3
music_minneland.mp3
music_muiro.mp3
music_noirin.mp3
music_rosala.mp3
music_satura.mp3
music_swellington.mp3
music_tortugi.mp3
music_windmere.mp3

What I am struggling to fathom is how the files keep reappearing on my phone and music library after deleting all the mp3 files from the location listed in the screenshot above.
How is this happening? Does anyone know if it is possible to stop this happening?

Poweramp --> Settings --> Folders and Library then choose Music Folders and uncheck the HTC sound folder as you need to. Or, uncheck all and only choose /Music or wherever you keep all your Music.

Hi dude
i don't know if it's possible to manually switch in the vibrate mode and not disable rigtone/sound too, or modify the standard profiles (maybe there's some registry tweak that allow this!!) but 3rd party softwares that manage your phone sound profiles can do it!!
For exaple i'm using SPB Phone Suite and in the Profile manager i can set the ringtone and notification to vibrate but at same time can allow the speaker volume:

...I know, this isn't the solution to the problem, but ,maybe, can hold your interest!!!
Hope to help you!
Ciao
cool, anythings worth a fix for now. thanks!
oh man. sweet program! thanks again!!
Use voice command to set to vibrate and it changes it in the phone settings. But when listening to music you have your headset on so why would you want this?
when im in class i like to listen to music but i dont want the phone to ring

[Q] Single media controller?

I recently jumped ship and have gone from iPhone 4S to Xperia Z1. One thing I cannot get used to is that all apps that can play media seems to require separate controls. On the iPhone everything making sound used the same play, pause, next controls etc.
This image illustrates what I mean. The audiobook player, the built in walkman, wimp (streamed music) and google play player all have separate widgets and controls. Is it possible to get only one that works on what ever app is currently playing media?

I usually get rid of all but one audio player and then just use the controls for that. I usually use google play music, but the way they store on device music is kind of frustrating so I'm open to other options as well. I guess just play with them and see which one you like best and then stick with that one. If you have multiple streaming services, this might not be an option and you'll just have to always exit whichever one(s) you're not using so that only one comes up in the notification drawer. That's my advice.

[Q] Orphaned media files (alarm sounds etc) exist but not present in media database?

On my SGS3 (running CM 10.1.3) I have an odd problem where audio files have gone missing from the media database, although the file is obviously still on the phone (and I can't find them with ES Explorer or even manually looking through the SQLite database).
Example:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
See how the alarm sound is "30348" for that alarm? It used to be a properly named audio file, and it should still be. Frustratingly I can't remember exactly what it's called.
Under the assumption that this number was the media file's unique ID for the media database, I used SQLite Debugger (from the Play Store) to search through external.db -- there's a gap in the entry IDs where 30348 should be - ending just before that then jumping to the 31xxx range.
Stranger still, when the alarm goes off, the audio file still plays! There's also another couple of alarms set with orphaned alarm audio files...
I've even tried leaving the alarm going, switching to a Terminal window and running lsof (as SU) to see if I can find the open media file being played, with no success.
This happened for several of my alarms and notifications recently - I managed to choose new audio for most of them but some of them (including, I believe, ones where I used ES File Explorer to select them, and not the native Media Storage selection) are no longer available to select.
I know if I choose another media file, I won't be able to choose or find this one again.
Is there a way to detect where the file is? Are there any backups held of the SQLite databases which I could look through? I'm at a total loss.

Music browsing capabilities.

Looking to purchase an Android Auto Kenwood headunit.. I was messing around with one at my local car audio shop, and noticed that in Play Music 'My Library' was absent.. Is it possible to browse all the music stored on my phone, or has Google disabled that in the interest of driving safety?
It SHOULD work, that's the idea.
I dunno why it didn't for you.
It doesn't work for me either. I have a Note 5

One little documented issue with Android Auto is that it enforces a maximum number of screen presses, around 5-6, to select music.
This is done to minimize driving distraction.
If your music collection has a deep hierarchy, AA may decide not to show it.
Ouch, that's a shame. This is one of the first things i noticed too.. Most of my music can't be seen, but can only be accessed via playlists or via voice command. This is in my 2016 Golf GTI.
I remembered during a test drive before i bought my car that I was able to see most of my music, but maybe that was because I didn't have much on my phone at the time.
Google really needs to include a library function comparable to that of the Google play music app because as of now, I much prefer the simple music browsing function of CarPlay.
I'm having the same issue on my 8100NEX. With Google Play Music, it's not a problem with a number of taps or a large hierarchy...because I've just started using it and have a pretty small library and haven't uploaded any of my own personal songs yet. It's just that the Library isn't there. So you have to either queue up a bunch of songs or create playlists for everything you want to listen to instead of adding albums and saving songs to your library. Or just rely on your "recent history" to have what you want, which is pretty dumb if you ask me. Hope they fix this.

Hi! Didn't find out through tasker but there's a setting in android Bluetooth settings that lets you choose per BT device what to play on it and what not:
