Hello,
I'm using Asylum Omni 4.4.2 rom, daily upgraded with last rel, but I notice bad 3D performance with games (my preferred GolfStar for example), low video quality, aliasing and so on.
Is there any setup I don't know?
Which rom, or bettere, which android rel has the best video driver for N7000?
Are stock (android 4.1.2) better then any other?

I managed to run SHADOWGUN and ASPHALT 6 on the same ROM. Didn't try the golf one though.
So does front line commando
pro snooker 2012 also give me appear "blame split screen" any solution for bad 3d we are facing?

What I've noticed, is that while it's definitely faster now, but it's also become a huge pig on the battery! Even after disabling the location services, it seemed to just eat all my battery regardless. Wasn't gonna put up with that, so I finally decided to bite the bullet and just buy Fast Pro
I have. That and yes I agree about FB app. I however have also found out that FB app also kills the syncing with any do app for Calender events and such from friends on FB. Freeze it and use web and no problems with battery or interference. The app you use is good and fast but web was easier transition as it is same on computers

Hu guys I've been searching forum but there are so many roms and threads so I need to open up this thread for my i9000
I'm currently running SlimBean 3.1 with Semaphore 2.8.0s kernel and rom is fast and stable and I get ~150-200ram free. I have just installed GTA Vice City and it's running really slow and lags. My personal opinion is that Galaxy S can run this game without lag and other heavy games but it requires GB rom that can do this.
So which one rom GB do you find best for lag-free games and for best battery and for every day use?
I think that all JB roms use a lot of ram and that causes laging in games, so GB is best for games but which one ?
I want to play some games like Modern Combat, TDKR and others but to play them smooth. Is that possible on this phone? I think it's beast but this games are new and heavy on resources.
So if someone would answer on my question I would be greatful.

For gaming you can use devil kernel or semaphore kernel(I recommend the first) and use paranoid Android by droidjam: )

So I found this rom in the list of custom roms for the I9000...
Its a GB rom designed for gaming apparently. 385MB ram. Try it out

im installing all the roms that have good comments.. i LOVE this tablet. i used to like miui back in the gingerbread days.. and now i like it again!
now im trying smoothrom..
just wondering though what is everybodies favorite setup for their tablet?
I like Prime, very smooth yet still has good battery life. It also has features ported from AOKP and CM10.1, but not the battery sucking features. Overall a great ROM. 7080 was scored with quadrant on this ROM.
Nexus 7:
Unlock/Root
PRIME D
M-Kernel
PimpMyROM
I am running stock 4.2.2 right now and it is great, but I miss paranoid android and tablet mode. I will probably be going back to paranoid android soon because I can't see the time when I am playing games unlike tablet mode where it is always showing in the nav bar.

I really like the cyanogenmod 10.1 based on 4.2.2 with the battery-friendly franco kernel. VERY fast and smooth and many good features and settings. For the tablet mode like in the paranoid rom I use the xposed framework to manually set the dpi-value for every app.

I know that i must check all ROM's and detect which one is best for my desire's but i want use of your knowledge for test only best one's.
Battery life is not important for me, I'm looking only for performance and speed in running game and app's. ( a daily ROM with working camera ant etc... )

Im running helly bean and I can say it's the fastest rom I ever flashed, it's smooooth as hell
also I o.c my phone to 1320 mhz with 408 mb of ram, it's stable and running games without lagging . you should try it

If you want a ROM that run Games smooth, i recommand you to take a look at the "CyanAOSP".
I already tested some roms and i really like CyanAOSP, soo smooth and verry good for Gaming.
Tested on: Asphalt 7 , Real Fotbal 2013, Gangstar City, Subway Surfers, Temple Run, Asphalt 6, Earn to Die, Drag Racing, Need For Speed HP, Fifa 12 , Sky Safari and many others, No lag. and get 4400+ on Antutu.

Agree. Have been on this ROM for the longest time since it launched.
eactly what are you running on your nexus 7, rom, kernal and launcher and are you rocking any other mods or tweaks with this combination. the device is not brand new most people may have found something that works well for them by now.
ChameleonOS with Chameleon Launcher, and Trinity Kernel have become my Daily Drivers.
No Lag, games play well, videos play well with XBMC and MXPlayer.
Haven't found any need for any tweeks, N7 has been running beautifully.
I'm running this.
I've tried almost every popular ROMs on xda and finally I stick with Purity ROM because
1. It's one of smoothest I've ever tried and it smooth because it's really smooth not by change the way launcher animate and animation speed like in some other ROMs.
2. It's contains only function I want like Pie, Expanded desktop and choose-able status bar show or hide for example.
3. It's can have a really good benchmarks score if you're run it along with some good custom kernels.
4. It's not only fast in benchmarks score but it's also fast in term of real-feel as well.
And for a kernels my choice would be
1. M-Kernel if I want overall performance and best battery life.
2. Faux kernel if I want overall performance (a little bit overall smoother experience).
3. Motley kernel if I want best frame-rate this kernel always give me additional 6-12 fps compare to all the others.
All above is just my personal taste and experience.
Vanir Custom with Cobalt blue/crimson theme.

I'm a convert to Franco, I absolutely love the performance increase, still on the fence between going to AOKP or CM 10.1. What kind of audio mods are you working with?

Any suggestions for a ROM to go with Franco.kernel? Battery life is a must and I really would like Tablet UI (if the DPI is comfy). The ones I was looking at all seem to be abandoned by the devs, and I want something that is still being built on. Any input would be awesome, thanks!
