Can someone help me fix why it shows two chromecasts even though I only have one.

Does restarting it make it go away? Maybe a neighbor is stealing your wifi and bought a chromecast too? Pull the power plug on yours and try to cast to the other.

I tried that but it didn't work it only shows two when I am casting a video from YouTube and I try to connect another device while the video is playing

Did you try force killing and wiping the cache on the youtube app?

Still happening, I also turned on the feature in chrome beta to use chromecast on the YouTube website then I turned it off

Make sure all your Android devices have the newest Google Play Services then reboot your Chromecast and router.

Ya, I added a picture in my question, when I connect to the first one it sends it to the one I have it is like both are just the sameone

Seems like it somehow thinks it has two names.
Try a factory reset (settings reset) on Chromecast by holding down the button until it goes red, then wait for it to restart. Then go back through setup again.

Screencast Video Recorder not working proper in jelly bean

After updating to JELLY BEAN,
Screencast isnt working proper,
it gives blurry and cutted video and is
unuseable,
i also ticked
DISABLE HARDWARE OVERLAY which fixed problem for many devices but not for s advance,
any fix guys?
may be by checking adb logs and fixing it?

Check high quality in options. And I just tried it, and I have differend problem. It's like it is cut in the middle and mixed position. Down part is up, and up part is down. Screen shot is from normal quality, but on high quality it is without blur.

It is messy to me too... Now I tried landscape.
i emailed to devloper and he wanted my adb logs to fix it,but i dont have a pc to do so,may be it would be great if you send him the logs,
so that he can fix or do you have a fix?

[Q] Ok Google Everywhere option gone

I had this option turned on and was using it just a few hours ago. After restarting my phone, OK Google no longer works from anywhere except the Google app and the option in the settings is completely gone. Does anybody have any idea what may have caused the option to go away?

I can confirm that not the case. I have the push update and my okay Google functionality is fine.

Nice your lucky. This is what mine looks like. Are you on the latest build also? See my attachments. Or maybe like someone said earlier the latest Samsung update cancelled my okay Google functionality. Who knows, wish I had it though.

Whoops, just realized this is in the T-Mobile forum. I've got an AT&T Edge, same problem.
I found a work around with using the Nova Launcher. There is an okay Google option as you'll see with the attachment that works for me on any screen that I'm on. You have to have the premium version I think not sure about that but anyways for what it's worth
I believe it may have something to do with new Google play services that was just pushed. Option was enabled, but, when updated GPS to 7.3.28, function stopped and option disappeared.

Since Friday evening I've been going through every single setting on my S6 Edge. I had the phone since April 4th, where I had ok google everywhere, but not "trusted voice" in the Smart Lock settings. I restored my phone 2 times now, thinking the first restore got rid of Ok Google Everywhere. I now see others are having the same issue which is great!

On my stock S6, I have -440 so I didn't update. Now, today, I see I've got 7.3.28 (1863718-440) -- It seems the 440 is an important part. So, I'm more current than the version in the Android Police article I cited and I have Trusted Voice and OK Google everywhere.

I just downloaded 7.3.28 (-440) and still do not have access to Ok Google Everywhere, also Trust Voice is still "off" no matter what.
another setting also vanished.
Lost OK Google from any screen yesterday. Checked settings and the only option is "From Google App". No any screen and no Trusted voice settings. ALSO noticed another setting that vanished. In phone settings the option to "turn off screen during calls" is gone. Now during phone calls my screen turns off, which I really don't want and I can't find a setting to uncheck it.

It is now fixed!!!!! simply go to the play store, or your application manager, uninstall updates and reinstall.

Carrier branded startup page in Chrome. How to disable? (T-Mobile)

I'm new to getting a phone directly through my carrier, so maybe this is just something I'll need to live with. But my T-Mobile Galaxy S8 has a T-Mobile branded Google start page that always loads when I start Chrome. I've dug through settings and changed the homepage to www.google.com. However, no matter what I do I can't get the T-Mobile branded start page to stop appearing every time I load up Chrome.
Any ideas?

I had no problem resetting my home page to google on Chrome

Ok now I have a real reason to freaking try and flash another rom or something. I think some people said there is a common rom out there that can be flashed for any of the carriers. I can't stand seeing the annoying T-Mobile startup page in Chrome. I even tried the package disabler to disable the built in Chrome and when I install a new Chrome browser or even the Beta one from the PlayStore it does the same thing and keeps showing me a ridiculous startup page. They want to bloat us with ads and crap and hijack our default Google start pages even though we paid almost $800. It is getting ridiculous.

I had no trouble resetting the homepage either. Chrome, settings, homepage (on), click on the address, type in google.com, hit save, back out. Now it always opens how I want.
For those that are having trouble getting homepage to change. After saving new home page of your choice be sure to close the tab that is showing T-mobile and reopen chrome. Dont just back out. Otherwise you are just opening the same tab that already is directed to T-mobile.

I can not find My Huawei app on my device. How to install it? Do I need to change the region to china?
I'm on harmony os. Seems nice. A certain emulation Game runs better even if you're on powersave mode which didn't on android at all unless you were on performance mode. Still testing
My Huawei app was there already, just searched it. Go to update option, everything's in Chinese so I just followed all mate x2 related stuff and selected the blue button options. It installs a beta profile onto the phone, then after that if you look for an update harmony os shows up

I have registered a China Huawei ID and changed the region to China, let the huawei app store update the apps. there was a update icon (red arrow) on My huawei app, followed the guide and installed the profife to phone. Then check the update to see the harmony os 2.0. Hope that it helps.

I try to fix it something like uninstalling and reinstalling GSF and GPS anyhow sometime i fix it but it not last. for few hours it error again especially when restart the phone. As my fix is trying to make push notification works perfectly as well. Now i am at rest at 100% push notification works but playstore error and use aurora for my alternative for meantime.
If anyone find way for HARMONYOS works with push notification and playstore works it would be great for instruction and files Thanks guys

Question VoWIFI and VoLTE

Hey guys,
I am on vodafone UK and do not have the options to enable volte or vowifi. All the guides talk about installing older logkit but it will not install due to a conflict. Tried factory reset and still the same.
Anyone managed to get this done?

uhm, I'm on Voda IE and I can see the option available under Settings->Mobile Network->SIMx.
Think the logkit way was just for previous devices.

I can't even force the feature off and on again in my Voda account settings
I am apparently having VoLTE enabled in the settings on my T-Mobile SIM, IMS is registered and IMS state in activity launcher is "registered", but I can't see the icon of the VoLTE at all. But during the call I am still connected via LTE and data are working, so it does work somehow, but IMS modem is not updated or something like that.

I can switch it off and on in account settings on the app but makes no difference. Spoken to their tech help several times but they are not interested

I've never had VoLTE on a Voda handset, only ever VoWiFi.
Can you post / send the configuration data you received as I'm having no luck getting Voda to sort it out for me?

Did they ask you to text CALLING to 97888? Not sure if that's what did it for me. It takes over 24 hours but I never received the second text saying it was done.

Yeah, I've tried that, but still not received anything, nor do I have the settings.
I think they've screwed my account after I swapped from an eSIM back to a physical SIM ASI can't turn WiFi calling on it off in the My Vodafone so any longer
