Why speedy and modded roms are made only on CM7?
Is there some limitation or restriction?
Who told you that only speedy roms are CM 7?
Most of the Stock 2.3.6 ROMs are Fast and Stable....
CM 9, CM 10, CM 11 are also Speedy if they are properly tweaked and configured....

CM7 roms are the Android Gingerbread based roms. Due to our Ace's hardware restriction, it can only run Gingerbread roms to its maximum potential. That is the exact reason why Samsung didn't provide an OS upgrade after the Gingerbread 2.3.6. This means no other roms, be it CM9, CM10 or CM11, will be able to run as fast and stable as Gingerbread roms(CM7+ Stock). You will be able to run CM9, CM10 or CM11 on Ace because they are twerked to such an extend inorder to reduce lag. Not only would all features not work with them, but also it won't be as fast and stable as Gingerbread roms. But there are users who loves the looks of CM9 and above more than CM7. So in the end its upto you to choose. Hope I Helped

it is not like that brother
they just have lower ram usage as compared to cm 9 10 and 11 so they look more fast as them { which is a truth}
but other roms many based on stock like adrenaline rom is also good option and cm 9 by mr @Rhievaldo is also a good option cos it is a hell good rom

CyanogenMod and custom ROMs are two different things. It is true that you can create custom ROMs based off of the CyanogenMod builds, but since we don't have those stable builds, the devs create ROMs based off of the i9000 etc. ROMs.
The CyanogenMod builds are built from scratch; that is why we don't currently have a stable CM build. Once a stable CM build is out, though, there'll be some awesome ROMs based off of it.

I can hardly wait.
How smooth are any of the jelly bean roms working for you guys? I recently tried two different CM10 roms and they were nowhere near as smooth as the latest CM9 nightlies. Is project butter not working to full effect? Or is our aging APQ8064 the problem or is it the 2.6 kernel these roms use?
(I Acme-Uninstalled all elements of android and then re-installed using AcmeInstaller 3 before I tried the CM10 roms.)

I find CM10 to be much smoother than CM9, especially in the browser and general use. I did notice that it can take a day or so to smooth out, also supercharging really helps with memory management. Another thing that helps a lot is setting the up threshold to 35 in setcpu, this also helps a lot in CM9.
Presently what is the best stable Rom ( Cm 11/12.1/13) for Galaxy S Advance ?
I have tried almost all the Roms. Presently I am on Cm 13 by Epirex. I am on the first build. Tried the second build, but changed it due to freezing of screen.
Please suggest so that I do not have to change Roms very often.
I'm currently using Modded CyanogenMod 11 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s-advance/general/rom-modded-cyanogenmod-11-t3387424) and it's very stable, give it a try.
I'm currently using Revolution ROM UX..based on stock jellybean..it fast LOL
I've tried almost every rom for S Advance.
If we are talking about cyanogenmod only, then "Modded CyanogenMod 11" is the most stable.
But the best rom I've tried is a stock based one, named "Leggera", nothing is more stable. You can find it here: http://www.androidiani.com/forum/mo...9070-jb-4-1-2-leggera-gargaros-s-advance.html (if you want I can help with translating the page)
This is my opinion.
As a previously user of S Advance aka janice, for me SamiOS + cocore kernel 8.2 was best (you can try mkaluza kernel too).
There are some other good roms too:
1) AOSP by JTeam
2) VanirAOSP by mkaluza
3) CM 10.2 . There's a build which some people claimed to be the most stable cm.
NOTE: I haven't tried any new rom since that time, because I didn't had to

Slim,Tipsy OS try please..

I have tried a few and I like Cyanogenmod the most.
Works great, looks great and very stable.
Hard to say what you mean with fastest, I see now slowdowns on any roms.
the kernel of unofficial cm13 is based on the xiaomi's kernel source, so in my opinion it is smooth.
All cm based roms (all non miui roms) have the same speed, because they are useing thebsame kernel and device tree, so its up to you...
CM is the best!
Even the official MIUI (and it forks) is fast, it's just the animation that differs from CM based ROMs, app loading and execution time should be similar. As of now, the period of custom kernel has just begun, so most ROMs are still using the same kernel.
Can anyone please explain what is the real difference between Ressurection Remix & CM ?
right now I'm using RR latest (official) & except some bugs it's working like a charm.

Rr has more customisations than cm, bt anyways cm is the father of all roms, most of roms out there use cm as base rom.
If you knw how to edit/modify stuff or play with the rom, then there is nothing better than cm.
Both roms are equally stable, bt i prefer cm and i personally think that cm offers better performance and battery life than rr. With some tweaks I am getting around 9 hours of SoT
