I think I successfully installed the new update last night.
But everytime I reboot the phone, this same message keeps popping up.
----------------------------------------------
Congratualtions!
New software is update for phone is installed.
Phone is ready for use.
----------------------------------------------
*When I click Software Update again, it says "No Firmware"
*My phone also tries to connect to DM server right after every single boot
*My phone was never rooted, never tempered with.
There is something wrong with the update. Will this message go away in time?

Mine did it maybe the first 5 times, but it seems to have gone away now
I am seeing the same thing. I think I've seen it 4 or 5 times by now. Will try a few times, to see how many times more it does that.
btw, mine's rooted, with stock firmware.
I rebooted at least 20 more times but the msg still pops up . Mine has never been rooted btw.
The problem isn't just the message.the update is being downloaded and installed everytime I reboot. In one instance, I was in the basement with bad signal, and it took about 30mins before it finished the update - and all that time, it wouldn't let me go past the password screen (my corporate acct requires me to have a password on the device).
So, is it just the 3 or 4 of us with this problem?

Try maybe rebooting through recovery (using the 3 button trick?)
Brynne85,
Could you explain the 3-button trick?
Thnx.

If u are getting the message that.....your update was installed successfully.... after ever reboot of the phone. In order to get rid of this message you need to dial this code from your phone. Code is *2767*3855# (be aware that code will factory format you phone so what this means is that u will loose every thing on the phone. For example: downloaded apps etc. I got this advise from samsung level 3 tech support. I did this on my brothers stock samsung captivate not rooted or anything, just stock. Also i am not responsible for anything that happens to u phone due to being rooted or whatever when preforming factory format. Backup u stuff like contacts or whatever.

Turn your phone off, then press both the up & down volume buttons (hold them in) then press and hold in the power button as well. Continue holding all 3 until the ATT logo shows up, then let go of the power button, and a few seconds later, let go of the volume buttons. Your phone should boot up into a recovery console with blue letters. You'll use the up/down volume & power buttons to navigate this. But to do a reboot, I believe it's the first option and it will tell you to press the power button to "select" it...
May wanna try that before doing a whole format of your phone, but can't promise it'll work :-/ I just know mine quit doing after about 5 times and I'm pretty sure at some point between those times, I did this recovery thing just to see if my buttons worked (as some reported they couldn't get this to happen for them)
hey guys, I don't know what's going on with my S7 but yesterday was working fine and out of nowhere everything started to FC! From twitter to "Google Services Framwork", Gmail, browser, tweetdeck, calendar, voice, I can't pretty much use it anymore, I haven't done any new app installations so i don't know what's wrong! is it just me, or anyone else having this problem??
Any help will be much appreciated!
Thanks
That has happened to me 4 or 5 times. It's like half of the device gets erased but the apps are there. Everything force closes. I end up having to erase the device and re-install everything. Reboot into recovery if you can't figure it out and format the system and data. For some reason when i do that, i keep root. Not entirely sure how that happens, but one less step for me. I think root is power and one of the volume buttons.

ha! i remember I already did that. After the Update we had, and I exchanged mine for a new one I decided to stay with no root (i don't know why! lol) so I guess I'll reset everything and go back to root I figured at the end I was gonna do that, but I was trying to see if it was just me or there was a fix
thanks man!
ok, so since yesterday I've been trying to factory reset the DS, and when it boots back on, everything stays the same!
I'm a little confused now, if I take a picture and I turn the tablet off, when I turn it back on, the picture disappears. Same thing happens if I move widgets, delete or create new ones on the screen, they go back to as the configuration was on friday night! GV not working, and the last message that shows there, same thing, shows the last one on friday. I don't know what can I do.... should I call dell??
duck tape and dynomite
stupid thing started crashing yesterday FC this and FC that ....cant restore it as i no longer have write access to the internal sd card
1) tried nv flash
2) tried restoring from clockwork
3) tried pushing files through adb
4) tried fastboot ....
if i didnt just dump money into this thing id blow it up ......
any help would be appreciated.......any tips to fix it or kill it completely so i can get another one
actually deleted all of the files on internal sd card and uninstalled every program on the device looked completly stock ....rebooted it and it went back to how it was yesterday ......theres gotta be a reason why other are having the same problem that started on the same day .....maybe dell pushed an OTA update and screwed us ......just a thought cause mine was fine till i went 4g yesterday so my sis could post facebook pics ....not sure but hope we can figure this out
Samething happened to me
Hi, did you ever find a solution? my streak 7 was ran out of battery, before it shut off, the screen started flickering and then it turned off. after it came back on, it looked like it was fine, everything looked normal, but then everything started force closing, haven't found a solution

I'm running stock, and I discovered the hard way that you can't let the S7 battery run all the way down. The S7 will not power itself down in time. I had the same issue, and the only way around it was to do a complete factory reset, using the menu button from the main screen. I think the reset is in the "About" section, but I don't have my S7 with me now.
Being used to WM6, which powers the device down at 5%, I was not expecting the device to do this, but there it is.
dell streak 7
im not sure if I am the only one with this issue you but becareful with the streak 7 mine well both of mine wont charge properly and the newest one wont charge at all. i have to send it back to dell for them to fix it. Im not sure what cause this but my only advie is to never use a different charger for it only dell chargers. Im guessing that it messes up the battery callibration and then it gets really hot when charging

firstly do not abuse and tell us if you have overclocked it or not
sometime when we overclock or underclock it the device get unstable and start rebooting again and again
if your mini is 2 week old you can carried it back to the company
Try to restore factory settings.
Every thing ia stock, and i tried reset to factory settings but it wont change anything.... Bougt it in mediamarkt. But before sending it back, isnt there anything i can do?

Hi,
I have 2 weeks ago bought a Galaxy Tab Verizon SCH-I800 from a friend. Everything worked perfectly, after 5 minutes, there was a message "System Update Available". This I did. The tab was a reset, since it is dead Nothing, just nothing, no download mode, no recovery mode, no battery sign. I guess because I am from Germany, the system has loaded a German update. Since this tab is not available in Germany, however, it probably came to this crash. Please, please give me some advice on how I this tab again to bring it to work. And please, if you have a suggestion, please explain it so that it is understood an idiot, I am of this field is an absolute layman.
Thank you so much.
stefan4me
Hi,
Sound strange. Have you noted something strange when updating?
Have you tried to plug your tab for a long period like the whole night?
After that, try pressing the power + volume down and see if it get into the download mode.

On my untouched i9000, I was starting to get very long freezes and force closed apps constantly.
So I decided to flash it with a few different stock firmwares and try to see if it fixes it, but I still get the force closed apps prompt every 2 seconds.
Also, when I choose the 'wipe factory settings/cache' options in the recovery menu, it doesn't wipe any of the files stored in the internal SD card (not the external physical SD card), it simply puts your phone back to the set-up wizard, but once I complete the setup wizard, my apps are laid out the same on the homescreen pages, my google account is still there, my WI-FI password too?
Each time, I use Odin and a PIT 512 file before I flash, the process works fine and up until the set-up wizard pops up, the phone looks fine, but after that, it will freeze for about 5 whole minutes and a rush of 'force close' prompts will come up.
Does anyone know a fix? I've been working at it for a very long time now, and I'm completely out of ideas.
After spending hours on the internet searching for a fix and not finding any, I'm starting to think that there's absolutely no fix and the phone may be completely dead.
Please keep the issue to 1 posts as theres no point opening 2 posts with the same subject
