Galaxy Gear ??? - Samsung Galaxy Gear

I want to buy a Galaxy Gear . But I dont know specifications of Gear .Is that good for game play???
Sent from my GT-S7562 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app

No, a watch isn't designed for game play. There are some games that work though. Like Flappy bird.

Flappy Bird laags and is not fun to play...Even with overclocking to 1.6 GHZ Dual-Core..
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=vo.threes.exclaim Threes! runs good.
Angry Birds runs. Saw a video of the first angry birds semss to working smoothly.
CandyCrush saga runs very good.
And you will hate the battery if you plan to play often on this thing. With the dual core kernel setted to 400-1100 mHz it mas 10-14 hours maximum...which sucks so much i get blowjobs from it....
Answer No, only little stuff...wait for more Battery...i suggest Gear 3 Hopefully coming with Note 4.

"...which sucks so much I get blowjobs from it..." hahahaha I love it. You get a thanks just for that call. A smartwatch that gives blowjobs. Just give it a rack and look out ladies competition is on its way. (jokes please don't take it personally ladies. Hell the watch vibrates so us men are already goners)

Hi, I'm one of the developers from Blowfish Studios. Thank you wingnut for your good review! Glad you are enjoying Hungry MonstR.
While kids can enjoy the game, and the easy level is definitely targeted at them, the harder levels are definitely play tested for adults. To get the highest scores in the game you need to learn how to stack power-ups and how to time Quad Rainbows (and higher) appropriately.
Can I ask if many Android users use OpenFeint? Hungry MonstR has local leaderboards, but we are thinking of implementing global OpenFeint leaderboards if enough people use it.
Cheers,
Blowfish Studios.
Yes!! I like open feint i think it would be great!
Btw the music in the game is a little bit to low, please make it louder.

Not as old school as some of these suggestions, but mine would have to be Pokemon.
I still play it loads now. But rather than play the official ones, I play the modified ROMs.
Can't remember if we had any games for the ZX80, so my favourite oldschool game would have to be 3D Monster Maze...
I did love all the Sonic games on the Megadrive too.

Gaming and gameplay

How's your gaming on the DROID 3? I've played nova 3, asphalt 7 and mc3 and all 3 seem really smooth and lag free. That seems strange to me since we only have 512mb of ram but maybe someone else is having the same luck...all I know is gaming is smoother on here than it was my ATRIX 2 (with same gpu and double the ram)

I've had NOVA3 and Mass Effect: Infiltrator run pretty well for the most part, though both freeze up on me quite badly at times, mostly in areas that are large and/or have lots of fancy graphical effects going on. I'm not running the latest official ROM though, I've got the 890 or something, I don't know how much of an effect that has.

Is mass effect any fun on the DROID 3?
Sent from my XT862 using xda premium
Yeah, it actually is! I've never been big on touchscreen controls, but the movement and aiming is pretty well-done. I'm a big fan of the whole series, so that might bias me.

Is it a short game or pretty decent?
Sent from my MB865 using xda premium
You could probably zoom through it in a few hours, but it took me quite a while to finish. There's a points system where the fancier your style, the more points and credits you earn. The credits are used in an in-game store to buy upgrades and unlock more weapons and skills. You can easily spend an extra few hours just grinding for credits. If you ace the game with the maximum score on every stage, you can get an extra war asset in Mass Effect 3. I started out with a pirated copy, then I bought it when it dropped to 99 cents, but I think it's 7 dollars normally. You can use the default tap-to-aim system, or for a bigger challenge you can switch to free aiming. The graphics are Perry impressive for a phone game, and you'll want about 250MB free for the extra download.

New games working very badly
I tried some new games like "bad piggies" and MAMC and both runs very very slow, some times rebooting the phone...
Not sure what's up there. I've got Bad Piggies and it runs perfectly.

I don't play a TON of games on my D4 but I have yet to find one that is not compatible. Everything from Angry Birds on the low end the Deadspace on the higher end have all worked fine for me.
Droid 4 - AOKP JB
I've only ever tried to play Raging Thunder on the D4. It crashes after the splash screen loads.
Sent from my DROID4 using xda app-developers app
Asphalt 7 is the only game that did seem a bit slow to me (like 15 fps or so in the peak), but still enjoyable Haven't had any compatibility issue, but then again Google Play offers you only apps compatible with your device
Hint: if it's too slow, restart the phone. And don't install too many background-running apps.

I just got the phone yesterday!
Really liking the droid 4.. been able to play a lot of HQ games smoothly including NFS MW, NOVA 3, Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour and Asphalt 7!
Running ICS 4.0.4 Stock!
Dont forget about the variety of emulators you can run on this phone.

Exactly. And the emulators that allow keyboard mapping. <3
There is a few stuff that I did not find compatible. Though pretty much all the main stuff is supported. Most stuff runs well, NSF MW does. Though some games the swamp and beach buggy racers from the creators of Riptide GP are slow, atleast for me. But Riptide GP works great.

Laggy and choppy gameplay in Simpsons Tapped Out

I've been experiencing significant issues while running this game, to the point of being unplayable. After a little digging, this is an issue across several Samsung tablets, all using the Exynos 5 Octa. I can confirm this isn't a high DPI issue either, because the game ran just fine on my Note Pro 8.4 with a Snapdragon 800 Processor.
Sigh... they put out a flagship product and put their buggy processor in it. I don't know if this has skewed my perception of the tablet, but I also seem to be noticing unexpected lag in other apps as well-- including the XDA Premium app.
Have you installed Nova Launcher?
Sounds like an isolated I issue. I'm playing SHADOWGUN EADZONE , NBA 2014, Badlands, MC4 and so far I'm getting excellent game play.

Yes, this is with Nova installed. It seems like it's probably a combination of a poorly coded came and some quirk with the SOC.

My guess is the game doesn't know how to deal with an octacore processor.

I'd suggest contacting the developers using examples of working games such as the other user mentioned. Sometimes the devs respond by email especially if an issue can hurt sales. Also a review on Google Play can get attention too but first try the email route.

Exact same issue with my Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition. EA dug in to a certain extent, but eventually the ticket died. To be honest I was sick and tired of dealing with them by that point. IIRC almost a month had passed.
What a sh*t situation!
yeah they cant check every game and app to see if it runs super smooth. And gaming is not on the top 10 list for this tablet.
Nvidia, Amd, same kind of thing.
That sucks one of the reasons I returned my 2014 note :/ but hey I don't play it anymore I wonder of its a game issue or exynos issue
Beans you shouldn't be playing games...... You should be working on ROMs lol!
Modern Combat 4 sucks on this tab, my kd is suffering badly. I truly hate this tab and pretty sure its going back. Sad thing is I'm sticking with a Tab 2 7 because I think its better. I'm sure that's the kind of customer responses Samsung likes.....
I got the update on the 27th when I initially powered it up but didn't install the update until I became hopeful it would cure the lag.... Wishful thinking. IT WAS MORE BLOAT.

The only labor intensive apps I have tried are Real Racing 3 and GT racing, they seem to run fine for me on the 8.4"
Maybe I'll give MC4 a shot to see what my experience is.
I've been having the same lag issue in Simpson's Tapped Out on my Tab S, Galaxy S4, and Nexus 7 2012. All 3 different SoC's, but same lag issue. I'm going to go out on a limb and say its a game issue. Zen Pinball plays beautifully, as does NFS Shift, PvZ 2 and everything else I've thrown at the Tab S.
I have the same problem on my 8.4 tab s.
The game runs smoothly on my Samsung Galaxy S4 phone and Asus Transformer TF101 tablet.
I opened the case 14146643 with EA. Let's see what they responds...

I've only tester simple games to date (TSTO, Dungeon Keeper, etc). Will try some more challenging ones in the following days.
Arghhh just got my tab and it does the same. Tapped out lags so hard you can't even tap anything lol
Hope they fix this issue...
Does Simpson tapped out lag from the start? I just tried it out and set up a new game. Played it for about 30 mins and it didn't lag or get choppy once.
