Does anyone know if the sount effects work without DRM licences. Because I unlocked my xperia z1 without backing up my TA partition. Do DRM licences influente sound effects? Or it's a bug with the current software? (14.2.A.1.136)

I use apps for an alternative camera experience I rather like, I own both Pro Capture and Camera 360 paid versions. How well do they work on the z1? How about with an unlocked boot loader? I'm hearing that the camera doesn't work after unlocking the bootloader. Even with the boot loader locked, I'm wondering how well the photos look compared to the stock camera. I've been reading some bad things about the picture quality.
I know its not out yet, but I've read some of you already have it. No one's tried a 3rd party camera app vs stock camera app? I'm surprised no reviews have touched base on using alternative apps.

The stock Sony "Albums" app vs. QuickPic or similar 3rd party app, will Albums display the pictures better because it calls specific functions or utilizes code to call in X-Reality engine enhancements?

Unfortunately, I can't give you a straight answer. Here's an interesting video on the topic, though:
Specific functions would explain why only the Sony app is taking advantage of the optimizations, but I haven't found any hard evidence to that end yet.

I'm just wondering if I should TiBu the Albums app and hide it from updates, and use QuickPic or similar since IMHO it's superior and less bloaty. I don't want to drop all that rich buttery goodness though that is X-Reality :/
So conflicted.. can anyone else chime their $0.02 in?
If you lose X-Reality you will never notice a difference. I have it switched off. I use many "Albums" and the pics look good to me like with X-Reality and stock Album.
Hi CM camera quality seems to be very low, especially when taking photos in low light.
Does anyone know of mods to improve quality or re enable BIONZ?
Or maybe a port of stock camera+a drm hack? Anyone tried the stock camera on CM with the new DRM hack?
Is there any way to backup the drm keys? I want to unlock the bootloader on my xz2 but I want to be able to come back. Also, are features like DSEE HX, clear Audio, etc. Lost after bootloader unlock? I'm running android 10

You cannot do a backup of the DRM keys. Audio features are not affected by the bootloader unlock. You loose HD capabilities in Netflix, screen enhancing features and the camera takes a small hit, as I understand.
