[HELP] Bootloop (cant enter recovery / bootloader) - Xperia Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I really could use some help.
I have a unlocked bootloader and installed several roms / kernels in the past. But now I wanted to switch roms, deleted the old rom, updated a kernel (tought it was a rom) and now its loading in the rom (which I tought was deleted...), but hanging in the loading screen, it turn off and then repeats itself...
I cant seem to turn it off, or get it into a mode that I can use SUS...
Any idears?
Thnx in advance..
Edit: I was able to shut down the phone, but I can't use SuS cause I have unlocked bootloader I guess. Any other way to get any recovery working? Or to recover the phone?

Hold power and vol up for about 10 seconds. This will turn your phone off.
Then you can either flash a kernel or a ftf file via flashtool

[SOLVED] HELP PLZ! xperia TL in eternal bootloop

Can s/o please point me in the right direction? I have a brand new Xperia TL. I followed the directions on the All-In-One Readme thread to root the phone, which came with locked bootloaders. Then I tried flashing the rom- [AOKP][JB] Xperia T - KangXperiaProject - [milestone 1].
Then the phone turned off, and when I turned it on all that happened was the Sony boot logo came up, then a fuzzy/staticky screen with random colors, then the phone shuts off, and then turns on again, and then the same thing. The battery isn't removable so I can't do a battery pull.
I managed to get the phone into Flash mode for Flashtool, tried flashing a kernel, but nothing happened. I tried all the different key combos to get into recovery, but no dice. I was actually lucky that once it remained stable long enough to flash a kernel, but usually when it's connected to the comp it won't stay on long enough to do much of anything. I also tried accessing the phone with an ADB shell, but that won't read the phone.
I also searched and searched and searched for possible solutions, but can't seem to find any posts (on XDA or otherwise) that deal with this specific set of issues.
Any help would be tremendously appreciated!!
You cannot flash custom rooms that are not stock based with a locked bootloader.
That is because you cannot flash custom kennels with a locked bootloader.
Flash a stock ftf with flashtool to fix your phone.
To do a virtual battery pull then press and hold the power button and volume up button until the phone vibrates
Sent from my LT30p xda premium app.
How do I customise the signature on xda premium app?
Thanks for the info. I tried flashing a stock ftf (I think the LT30_7.0.A.3.195_kernel.ftf you provide in the readme thread), but then it just want back to bootlooping.
Is there a different one I should flash? Or is there something else I could do? Meanwhile, I'll try flashing again when I get home today.

I flashed the ftf again- the phone still bootloops, but sometimes it show an image of a phone and the triangle with the ! in the middle- which I know is Download Mode on my old phone (Samsung Captivate). Is this what's supposed to happen? If yes, what's the next step? If not, what else can I do?
Thanks so much gregbradley!

TL version

Thank you gregbradley and hkjr.
I was having trouble flashing an ftf b/c the phone kept shutting off in the middle of a flash. What I did was flash (the T version) piece-meal; I checked "Exclude" for all the components except the 1st, flashed, then checked "Exclude" for all except the 2nd, flashed, etc., and IT WORKED!!
Then I flashed the TL version ftf, rooted it, and all was good. Now it was time to flash a custom rom. I flashed recoba23's Xperia Curiosity V1.2 Rom (for locked bootloaders). That worked. Then I wanted to take a look at TiMiN8R's XperimenT rom. The phone told me that the file finished downloading. I thought it was a little smaller than indicated on the download page, but the phone said the download was complete. Flashed it. Then BRICK. Dunno if it's because the full file didn't download, but now ALL I get is the Sony splash screen (no bootloop, just stays like that). I can't get into recovery and I can't get the phone into flash mode, although the computer does recognize it when I plug it in and I can access the files on the phone.
Any ideas what's going on??
same problem please help =(
I too have the same problem, stuck at "SONY" screen can't go to recovery mode, can't connect to pc, i did the power+up volume button, turns off but if i turn it on same result stuck at sony... I followed this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2020796 for locked bootloader, i have the att xperia TL.
I flashed the generic 7.0.A.1.303 ftf
Rooted using Bin4ry's method
Install CMW for locked bootloaders
Enter recovery, factory reset and flash the ROM(STOCK ROOTED 7.0.A.3.195)
and when im going to flash the flashable CMW, i cant find it in my ext sd.. i put it with stock rooted 7.0.A.3.195.zip and superuser.zip, it says "file not found" on recovery after i flashed the stock 7.0.A.3.195.zip so i decided to reboot.. and this happened. Is there a fix to this please help us :crying:
OK, I got my phone back up and running! For me, it just seemed to be a matter of playing around with the buttons and the plugging/unplugging the phone from the computer and/or charging it, and eventually it went into flash mode. I was able to flash stock kernel, root and apply CWM, then made sure that I downloaded the whole file for whichever ROM I wanted, flashed it, and all was good!
fatedcircle9, just try playing around with it. If you can't flash the new CWM from recovery right after you install the ROM, just reboot the phone, attach it to the computer, and install CWM like you did before. At least that's what worked for me....

[Q] Sony Ericsson text won't disappear

hi, I am having trouble booting my mothers' X8. She was using mini cm7 and it was starting to be very slow so I backed it up and flashed it again. flashing was completed successfully but when I tried to boot the phone, the Sony Ericsson text did not disappear. I left it running whole night but nothing happened. I can't even boot to xrecovery. What should I do now? Is there any way I can get the phone working again?
thanks a lot!

so I downloaded the stock kernel and flashtool, but the app won't recognize the device. it still shows that I should hold back button on my phone while plugging the cable. I was holding the button for about three minutes but nothing changed. what should I do?
edit: oh and the red LED is flashing.
edit2: nevermind, battery was drained. now I just need to find drivers for my x8

It's just soft brick so you should have flashtool and some ftf files for your device maybe stock firmware and baseband update so you can unbrick your soft bricked device for any time. Just enter the flash mode and flash it! That's it! Just some advice for you

My Xperia SP has suffered brain damage- Anyones assistance needed !

Short and Sweet: Have a c5306, fido, on android 4.3. Rooted with towel root, flashed CWM 4.4.1-sp, made back backup of stock 4.3 with philz. Phone turns on, but has no IMEI, no service. As soon as the screen goes off, i cant get it back on. So the screen times out after 30 sec and it stays that way. Never heard of this problem. I can hit the reset button in the back, boot the phone up and same thing. Can anyone assist in anyway? If you can help me solve my issues, ill gladly Donate
EDIT- i have now wiped system so cannot return to recovery, or boot the phone. It is stuck at the white Sony logo
Try to flash the latest stock ROM via Flashtool, maybe that could help.

+1, this is what I do when nothing else works, as long as you can get into Flash mode (Vol Down and plug in USB), you should be fine flashing stock software back on.
Good luck mate!

With your phone off and unplugged, setup Flashtool to flash the FTF of your choice.
When you're ready, press and hold the volume up button, and then plug in the device.
The LED will flash red and green quickly. You are in Flashmode now. Flashtool should be working away. Leave it plugged in until prompted to restart (watch the log).

Thanks for reply, but I dont have any led light, thats my problem. When I want to do something, like get into Recovery, I restart my phone and I dont have any LED light, when I plugging in the device - same.
I have the same problem buddy but if you have a computer just install a recovery by downloading the file from NUTS web page (search for dual recovery for z1) and let the PC detect your device. In command prompt it will ask you to hit option 1 or 2 and it's pretty self explanatory. Don't worry about the Led, just flash the recovery using your computer.

Is your bootloader unlocked? If it is, fastboot the right kernel for x performance and your firmware (androplus or stock) then try flashtool again.

Thanks for your answer. Bootloader is locked. Im runnin out of ideas. fastboot commands ends up with "command not allowed" :/
Boot to the welcome page again, then lock the screen for 10 seconds or so, then unlock and repeat a few times. Screen should be responsive then. I flashed XZ firmware on my xp as well, auto rotate and proximity sensor are also borked.

Unfortunately it didnt help. I wonder how could i flash any other stock rom via flashmode. My pc sees phone as Xperia XZ, but xz's drivers are not helping with flashmode :/ Maybe im doin something wrong?
try to flash sin files from firmware, via fastboot (flashtool). if doesn't work, unlock bootloader and try flash stock via fastboot without flashtool, or uninstall all drivers, and try from the beggining. Goddammit i was want to flash my xp to xz, empty desire, but i was tried custom roms, all works only camera won't

I was tried to flash xzs stock image to x performance, and wont boot, wont recognize pc like a somc device, twrp wont flash cannot mount partitions. nothing
Have you tried using the Xperia Companion app on your PC? The software repair tab?
1. I honestly wana flash XZ rom on XZs to try! since both are very similar devices!
2. wrong kernel means! device is STUCK on black screen! / sony makes beasts, / not easily to hard brick
3. PRESS POWER + VOLUME UP keys together and hold for 15+ secons untill xzs JERKS thrice! , release both button atonce,
4. now device is FORCE SHUTDOWN out from any bad flashing!
5. try connecting it in to flashmode now! , it should work! ,
6. if you ever able to boot in XZ or X, (android 6.01) build, try extracting drmkeys from xzs , you will be doing something WONDER !!!
7. if everything fails, the rubber band trick works! , tie across (horizontally) the xzs in a way that volume downkey is always pressed by rubber band. keep it overnight. the battery will drainout to zero and device will sleep. then connect to wallcharger, charge it overnight untill u see red blinking led and finally red led then NO led. at this point try connecting your device in flash mode
NEVER BOOT AGAIN! once you are out from this kernel! whenever device shuts down, immediatel connect it in flashmode
