[q] galaxy mini kill launcher while playing games

So, I have galaxy mini with slim cm7 revision 1(I think it's fastest) with Zeam launcher and I was just wondering is there a way to kill launcher while playing games? I can kill it from settings but when i come to apps list it opens again(and it's normal because without it you can't see that list)...any way to switch directly from settings to game you want to play without auto re-opening launcher? Or some other way? Thanks.
nope, btw. with zeam's ram consumption it's actually pointless

Thanks if you are sure there is no way(if anyone other knows way please say it), but I need to correct you: yes, if you look at applications and cached processes, you will see that Zeam uses about 6.8 MB RAM, BUT it uses as other launchers: cache + task, and I think you didn't look at Zeam task org.zeam.core which uses about 24.53 MB RAM(that's current size when i looked at it now)...so total consumption of Zeam is about 31.4 MB of RAM...just saying...I think it will help a little for games if there is a way to kill it while playing games...

But btw don't think that Zeam isn't better than other launchers, yes, it's better, it uses about 5-8 MB less than other launchers(3 MB less in task + 3 MB less in cache than ADW launcher)
I found a way
OK it doesn't matter anymore...I found a way...
1.Just first open game you want to play so that it will be in recent apps(when you press long home)
2. then go home, then go to settings
3. close launcher,
4. now with recent apps switch to game and again switch with recent apps back to settings
5. now kill settings with settings, now settings will close and it will switch to game because that game is last app opened before settings app...
plz press thanks if I helped you and saved your RAM...
NOTE: this metod won't work if usually can't kill launcher, for the example if you have bulletproof launcher installed with V6 it won't work because no matter to what, you can't kill launcher, even with some root killer...
STEP 4 EXPLAIN: if you skip this step, when you finish step 6, it won't switch you to game, it will switch you to home, so launcher will open again, because it will remember home as last app
Also you can after 3. step switch to game, and then stay at game and play, but remember: settings will still be opened in background, and it uses about 13 MB of RAM...
lmfao
Holo launcher its better
Push to system
Sent from my GT-S5570 using xda app-developers app
have u tried holo launcher?
I have no problems witch force close when using it...
Or Launcher Pro...

Goodies for Xperia from Galaxy S3 (Smart Stay, Alert and so on)

Hello,
I switched on the Xperia Z of Samsung Galaxy S3 and miss on the first day of the great features such as S3:
- Stay Smart (facial recognition),
- Smart Alert (vibration when touching the smartphone if missed calls or messages are available),
- Silent, if you turn the device,
- Direct contact call when the phone to your ear
- The lockscreen I find horrible. You do not see missed calls or messages when you do not exactly click on the status bar and can otherwise not set shortcuts ...
Is there any third party apps that have this functionality?
I could only find for the Smartstay an alternative app.
Otherwise, the Xperia is really great, but Sony has really in software extreme catching up ...
Thanks for your help.
You can replace Smart Stay feature by using ISeeYou
Another Alternative.

[APP][JB] Boost My Xperia™ - Tiny yet Powerfull tool

Hello fellas !!
I was searching around and found this really useful tool, developed by gagan.u20
Here's the link to original thread
About the app as said by HIM :
What is Boost My Xperia™?
Boost My Xperia™ is a tiny yet powerful app that boosts your device's performance. Initially, I made this app for my ROM users only and after launching my new updates of rom (also the app is updated to v2.0), I thought to share this app with all of you here on XDA.
Basically its is a kinda of task manager, but actually it does more than a task manager.
This new app comes with a beautiful UI and a handy widget. There are three profiles to boost your device i.e. Gaming, Multitasking and default. Choose between any of these and you are done.
* Gaming mode is suitable for game lovers. It boosts your device and make a more free RAM available to play heavy games. If you like to play HD games in your device then first enable Gaming mode from this app and then start playing your games without lags.
* Multitasking mode manages memory and give an optimum amount of free RAM. This mode is suitable for those who love to try and have installed several apps in their device. This mode lets you to switch between several apps in a quick and more responsive way.
* Default mode reverts back the changes that are made by this app (in case if you want to remove this app).
Also there is a Quick Boost feature available in app which kills some useless background apps and make some more free RAM.
You can boost your device from the home screen by using a beautiful "Boost" widget that comes with this app or you can boost you device from app drawer by launching this app and clicking Quick Boost button.
Caution: Boosting your device may cause some apps to force close unexpectedly. You may see some FCs of apps in Gaming mode (which is normal). So enable Gaming Mode only when you want to play games.
Note: Unlike other task managers that always reside in memory, this app doesn't leave any active service to eat your RAM ( as I already told that this is more than an ordinary task manager). So don't get confuse that this app will take some extra memory, instead, it will boosts some extra free memory.
* This app is compatible with/without a supercharged ROM but if your ROM is supercharged then you will get Super Boost.
Requirement : Rooted Phone
Download : Here
Do Thank HIM..
Screenshots : Coming Soon !!
V3.0 is coming and it includes:
Free version :
1. Ads
2. Switiching profiles (Gaming/Multitasking/Default)
3. Quick Boost
4. Widget.
5. No auto apply on boot, so you have manually do it.
Pro version will have following features (just for $0.99):
1. Ad free app
2. Switiching profiles (Gaming/Multitasking/Default)
3. Quick Boost
4. Widget.
5. Auto apply on boot, so you don't have to select profile each time when you boot your device.
6. Battery saver (start automatically when you choose any profile).
7. Improve SD speed (start automatically when you choose any profile).
8. Lag reducer and enhance smoothness module (start automatically when you choose any profile).
9. Stay in notification bar (optional for those who want to keep it in memory).
Best regards to Gagan.U20
**reservd for future updates**
I very early know of this and have already install in my sony xperia z for some time already
I think it is more useful for devices with less RAM. Xperia Z already has much RAM available anytime for apps and games. Just my opinion. BTW thanks for pointing it.

Sony Xperia SP, T, TX and V Get 4.4.3 KitKat Features :D :D

Posted on June 17, 2014
Sony has been giving away some hints about Xperia owners can expect when KitKat 4.4.3 heads their way and 4.4.2 for the Xperia X, SP, T, TX and V. It has been suggested that features will be along the lines of those of the Xperia Sirius and the Z1 and features could also include two brand new user interfaces, along with camera modes and battery managers.
The interface for the Sony Sirius did get leaked and with it came a simple homescreen along with the Xperia one. In the leak you could see changes to the icons along with the addition of new status bar icons and battery icon.
With the release of Jelly Bean 4.3 Sony offered Smart Social apps along with new camera modes and user interface. The Sony Xperia Z1, Ultra X and other devices in the Z series may have features that are exclusive from Sirius. These may include Timeshift video and Background Defocus.
The Smart app was updated with a new look and it features a Close All button. This is a part of the Recent Apps and comes with Smart Backlight. This is somewhat similar to what owners of the Samsung handsets have with Smart Stay. The KitKat 4.4.3 update comes with support for call handling, double tap to wake and white balance.
The Xperia Sirius has some sound options that are new and this includes audio accessory support along with high resolution audio USB. It is to get S Force audio and Clear Audio along with xLoud engine.
It offers owners customisation choices when it comes to notification along with status bar. This includes My Xperia themes. Right now those with Jelly Bean 4.3 cannot apply a lot of customisation with My Xperia Themes.
Along with this KitKat has brought with it stamina mode, better power management, low battery, location based Wi-Fi and it allows the background data to be queued so as to save on the battery.
The Sony Xperia Z will get updated first to KitKat, followed by the Xperia SP, T, TX and V, which could have to wait for some time for Android 4.4.3.
Nice
Nice to dream... but... Seriously? What's the source of all this info?? :cyclops:

Hope for that...
How about these features for example?
- lower memory requirements and better memory management
- user-customizable setup / debloat-able, not one size fits it all
- sort of semi-administrator rights out of the box, for example kind of which makes the owner rooted temporary to allow removal of items definitely not needed
- day and night UI setting (EvolveSMS and some other apps have this, it's brilliant)
- colour accents choosable
- navigation button user adjustable right out of the box
- a power menu with reboot option included
- bring back the screenshot option to the power menu
- a numbering of the volume and brightness adjuster scales for easier remembering, or on-screen number pop-up
- reliable repeat notifications for calendar, sms and other occurrences, even when the phone is sleeping
- adjustable LED colours for different notification types
- more reliable syncing for calendar + phone book, and not binding sync function to the presence of the latest version Play Services
- a user control of which metadata may be synced
- setting for combining camera pixels together lowering their total number and increasing effective pixel size, therefore actually achieving a better image quality
- thoroughly cleaning up the Play Store
- not binding paid apps functioning to the presence of Play Store
- clearer descriptions of what has been changed when upgrades are presented, not just "performance enhancements"
- revise the user rating system to actually provide useful information
- stop counting the number of features as the benchmark, but to highlight and promote other features such as efficiency, ease of use, or battery friendliness
- stop removing setup and preference options, many apps actually have become less user friendly and crippled
- give the user always a choice.
