I had spanish generic 569, and since they didn't update yet to 10.4.1.B.101 I decided to switch to a CE one that I found here:
http://xperiafirmware.com/8-firmware/33-sony-xperia-z-c6603
The issues are:
-When I call someone I can not hear anything unless I activate the loudspeaker. This is not always happening and seems to be temporally fixed after a reboot.
-If anyone calls me, the loudspeaker is activated automatically when I pick the call (some says this is due to Google Chrome update)
-The proximity sensor that turns off the screen while talking is misbehaving
Of course I have tried again wiping everything in the flashtool, but didn't help.
Solution? I went back to the safe spanish generic 10.4.B.0.569 which they didn't updated yet to 101, maybe because they found this serious bug? I find it weird that they didn't adopted it yet
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z/general/info-firmware-version-customization-t2315914
The bug has also been posted in other forums http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-Z-ZL-ZR/10-1-1-b-0-101-update-problem/td-p/568927
Anyone else here can reproduce or solve it?
The loudspeaker activates randomly when I answer calls, but only from one specific contact. My earpiece works fine, however.
I'm on 10.4.B.0.569 Generic ES and I've found no solution to it. I just remember to deactivate the speaker phone when I answer calls from them.

I have done more research and yes, indeed it seems that google chrome is resposible of the auto loudspeaker mode and it can also happen in other firmwares or even phones.

NEVERTHELESS for me the issue of not being able to hear anything when you call if it is not in loudspeaker mode is a different issue that I can only reproduce in 101

This is not problem with this 101 rom. I'm back to 4.2.2 A.2.67 and there is the same problem. Probably Chrome make this problem

Yes, that's why I posted that I have the same problem on 569 and there has already been a link posted saying it affects other devices.

so which browser you prefer instead chrome..?
What about the internal speaker mute when receiving a call? For me this is a different issue that I only have in 101, and it doesn't help disabling Chrome
I got the same problem on 101. I'm back to A.2.67 (4.2.2) and waiting for solution or for 4.4.
I I threw out chrome so I can't test it is issue. But I think some program make this because this problem start few days ago.
Uninstall updates from Chrome (back to stock version). It helped for me.
Chrome is becoming a bug fest, always strange things, man google is really screwing things up recently.

Same here.
And, now the phone can wake when I press power button, even I close the proximity sensors.
Before, the screen won't wake up when the proximity sensor closed. So, the phone not wake up randomly in pocket.

Vibration Issue
Hello friend, I'm also with this same problem in the vibration of the phone, when I'm typing any message vribration and it stops after a few minutes back to work, today it happened 3 times this happened with 2 rooms that also tested.
I'm currently with stock 4.1.2 and is having the same problem, if someone from the forum can help.
Thank you.
Vibration Razr i problem
Hi guys,
I have the same problem. My Razr i stops vibrating, but if I shake the device, it vibrates again for a few seconds or after some haptic feedback on the menu|home|back buttons. Seems to be a vibration module (motor, engine) problem, because sometimes it vibrates sometimes it doesn't.
I posted this message because I've been searching all the forum and other places on the internet and couldn't find any answers to this issue.
If anyone has any clue to solve this issue please help us!

Vibration issues
Anyone solved this issue?
For me, seems like the vibrations are getting back on as soon as I shake the phone a bit, but then the vibrations will stop again eventually. Even it can happen to miss a phone call when I am at work and the phone is on silent/vibrate mode.
I think it might be a hardware issue, some problem with the motor/vibrator.
Please let me know if anyone managed to solve this.
Thanks.

Unfortunatelly, the only way to solve this problem is to send the phone to a Motorola Repair Center or any other mobile repair center. As long as I know, it's a vibrator unit fault.
Mine Razr i still was under the warrant period, so I could get the repair for free.
I think my phone repair itself , i dont know how but since one week or two the vibration comes back like before....and repeat...i dont know why.
A user in our German forum solved the issue by oiling the vibration motor

Confirm the solution, I did the same thing. A few microliters (?) WD40 has done wonders for the unstable vibration motor . With the tip of the needle was injected to vibra axis of the lubricant. WD40 - fix everything
But care should be taken to avoid contact with the ribbon cables because "eat" them !!!
Haptic feedback
Seems like i have the same problem, sometimes it will stop working then frantically vibrate as the phone catches up., restarting my phone seems to normally fix it.
5 times over the last few days my phone has called the last dialed contacts while sitting in my phone. I think it's something to do with removing the headphones (stock) while Spotify is playing as the last two times that's when it happened but it may be a coincidence as I can't replicate it.
Has anyone had this happen or heard of something similar?

I had a similar problem that unlocked the lockscreen with just tapping the screen anywhere. Could it be that your phone is doing the same?

I'm not too sure what makes the lockscreen behave like that as I couldn't diagnose the problem properly.
Here's what i did just before the phone stopped doing it:
First I completely turned off the phone by long pressing the power button until the timer ran outThen I pressed the VOL- key while still holding the power button to go into bootloaderOnce in the bootloader I simply booted into recoveryFinally from recovery just held down power until phone booted up againI'm not sure which step fixed it for me if bootloader, recovery or simply completely turning off the phone but after i did that the lockscreen went back to normal.
I suggest you try every one of the steps once in order to better evaluate which step fixes this (if it fixes them at all)
Let me know how you get on
Tried those steps, unfortunately my lockscreen is acting as it did before. But thank you for your help

Are sure your not pressing play/pause on your headset twice . That dials the last number.

Thanks for the tip its good to know, hopefully someone will find some other way to fix it without losing apps and data
If you're experiencing the bug where pressing anywhere on your One's lockscreen causes it to unlock, you've prolly got an app installed that has an Accessibility Service component to it. If you have any Accessibility Service enabled, it will cause this bug. (Light Flow and the Pebble smartwatch apps are 2 common apps that use an Accessibility Service).
On your phone go to Settings: Accessibility and look under Services. If anything there is enabled, disable it and that should stop the lockscreen from behaving this way.
This bug will also cause the phone to answer any incoming call if you press anywhere on the lockscreen while your phone is receiving a call.

I'm not aware of any way to fix it, unfortunately. Wish I knew a way, believe me, because this issue is keeping me from using the full functionality of my Pebble smartwatch with my HTC One. :crying:
I've actually mentioned this bug to a couple of HTC employees in a thread on Reddit here:
http://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/1d6we1/hello_from_htc/?limit=500
and one of them has already brought this to the attention of some HTC engineers, so hopefully it will be fixed with a future update!

Cheers, it's almost certainly the pebble doing it then; it's seemingly happening whenever I pull out headphones that have a microphone and button, while music is playing through Spotify and my pebble is connected.

thanks for the info, this has been driving me crazy as well.
i have found that killing the lockscreen with a task killer will revert it back to pull to unlock for a while for some reason.
Recently.. Whenever there is a received phone call.. When I answer it, the loud speaker is activated by it's own.. I don't know why.. It didn't do that before.. And it does that only with received calls.. Simple as it is, but it's really annoying and quite embarrassing.. especially when I'm in public transport.. So, any one knows how to fix that.. Or what is the problem??

It seems that the latest Chrome update causes that glitch, so try to uninstall the updates for it and if it still doesn't work, disable Chrome, restart phone and then use another browser till this is solved another way (another Chrome update that restores functionality).

We have 2 other threads about this issue, looks like is happening with almos everyone, so like our friend above said, deactivate chrome and clear you phone app data and cache, doing this your problem will be solved.
For what it's worth I deleted Chrome using TB and the problem persists, so it might not work for everyone.

You might be right, for instance, I still didn't disable Chrome, and got three calls today, everything was normal.
What I have disabled though, is Socialife and Smart Connect. Some users mentioned that after a phone restart, only the first incoming call goes to external speaker, the others are fine, after the first call.
Only thing we're sure of, this seems to have started happening to most of us at the same time.

As the title says it turns on without touching the phone, after calling sb. It never seems to turn on while receiving a call. I am 100% I didn't touch a thong as sometimes it happens while I have the phone in hand and I can clearly see that the loudspeaker is activated as soon as I place the call. I read it's a common problem. Anyone found any soulution? Do you have it too?

It was chrome. Latest update fixed it

Some say it could be a short or something on the USB port. I cleaned mine (lint and things) and it seemed to help... But it happened again and it's clean as whistle so I'm hopping it's chrome. I haven't had an issue since it's last update, seems weird though.

Hi, I'm currently on PAC and my touch screen behaves weird after a few minutes of use, need to sleep and unlock the phone to have it back to normal, any ideas?
I also have this bluetooth mono headset that I use for music, when I click the answer button, it brings up the voice recognition thing, any way to make it play/pause my music that is playing on Apollo?
Thanks
If the Developers did not fixed this yet then there is no fix, to get rid of that just try different ROM.

Finally sent my phone back to sony for repair, first repair, on inspection at the counter, found 3 dead pixels, so they had to send it back for repair again. It is back with me now, but I'm still experiencing the same issues on the latest stock rom and the panel looks slightly different from the one I had before (light and proximity sensors can be seen, easier to see transistors under screen in sunlight..) do they have different versions of panels?
