[Q] 4.2.2 showing as 4.1.2?

Hello XDA
I recently flashed the Australian 4.2.2 onto my Xperia Z (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2280329) however I notice it is displaying "4.1.2" on my phone details instead of "4.2.2". Is it because the ROM I downloaded was 4.1.2? It also says that my firmware is up to date, yet displays 4.1.2.

go repair it with Sony PC Companion.

I'm sorry, I don't actually know what the widgets screen actually looks like. Can you post a picture please?
I'm starting to feel that my version is in fact 4.1.2 after looking around for a while because it is .253, do Sony or other companies who make Android phones release firmware updates for Generic Unbranded firmware later than for phones with built in firmware from Vodafone etc?

if your firmware is .253 then you are definitely on 4.1.2.
The xda thread you linked to is also the same. So far only Optus has released 4.2.2 (which is .423)

You need to flash the FTF using the latest flashtool. Its v9.11 i believe.

I've got a C6602 model but I have installed C6603 firmware. Can I still update my phone without doing it manually?

connect your device to your computer and try using Sony PC Companion or Sony Update Service. I have no clue will it work, but it should. If not then flash one of the FTF files above.

Can Any one help me for flash Indian Xperia Z(C6602) Factory Build Flash rom in mobile & i need software Indian Factory rom pls upload any one help my mobile are hang after few minute every time i reboot. Sony Update Service
Or Flash Stock Rom by;
Emma Flash Tools
Calm Down and read carefully and search alot :good:

can u please upload Indian Xperia Z C6602 Stock Rom
when i use Emma Flash Tools it say Locked Phone Detected

What was ur previous version of firmware? i've couple of indian ftf.

I restored with new flashtool..

Phone Software Version - 1269-5309_10.11.A.1.253
File System Version - INDIA-HSPA_10.11.A.1.253
S1 Boot Version - 1264-2309 S1_Boot_Lagan_1.0.1_8

Yes its official build,maybe your phone does not have the Indian firmware installed,that's why you didn't got it yet.
Check pcc or sus again.

it means unofficial release.
simply saying it refers to carrier support in India.
well you can use stock Version of c6602 10.1.1.a.253(its the latest version in india.no 4.2.2 update yet)

My gosh.. Why is no one able to read a bit? Please search next time for information before making a new thread.
Anyway, wait or flash the firmware of an other region. You won't loose warranty. You only loose warranty if you unlock your bootloader.
It's up to SONY and your provider when you receive the update.

Why 4.4.4... If u can update it to LOLLIPOP..
Just download the latest . Ftf for your device nd flash it...via flashtool....nd enjoy
