i have the same issue but media server takes up to 25% with me so i really wanna know how to fix it and i dont play any music or videos

You can use BetterBatteryStats
This app provides more information about the battery drain
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1179809

Mediaserver starts when you are playing audio or music with Walkman. The ammount of useage is almost the same with Walkman self.
You could try to use an other Media player.

Try turning off all sounds from setting like lock sound, keypad touch sound,dail touch sound etc
It will definitely work

No Equalizer. no thanks. I found PowerAmp to blow any music app out of the water.
Looks cool! I may have to give it a go. I've been a Player Pro user for a while now but I like variety.
I like the fact that it has lyrics!
Anybody tried this with Oxygen?

[Q] Walkman loops one song

Hi everybody.
I have a question about walkman player in Xperia Z (6602).
I see in walkman status bar (below seeker) that one loop (or repeat) is turned on. Symbol is arrow with number 1.
Question is may be stupid one, but I can't find how to turn it off
Google don't know about it too.
And I just got nervous investigating it, and decided to ask here.
May be it's very simple and obvious, but whatever. It may be like situation, when you looking for your glasses, when they are actually in your pocket for example
Thanks for help.
If you tap the album art in the now playing view you get some extra options, like replay.

[Q] Deep Sleep and Wakelocks

Hey guys,
I noticed my phone sleeps pretty ok but not as perfect as my Xperia Arc did. Even with extended standby mode on i got this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I already disabled facebook because it had a lot of wakelocks but now i noticed that audioout_2 used quite a lot of cpu.
Is this normal or can i do something to make this better?

VIBER use, I have read that many times is causing this wakelock of AudioOut_2.
Really 6mins out of nearly four hours is nothing to worry about

Sense 6 Bug? - Google Play Music

I have a T-Mobile HTC One and received the Sense 6 update last week. It's been running very well but I noticed a possible minor bug.
When I'm playing a song using Google Play Music and look at my lockscreen, under the title on the music widget always says "Unknown Artist" even though all my songs have a proper artist tag assigned.
Anyone else experiencing this issue?
Working fine here, tested playing with Google music

Hello everybody, I updated to Oreo today and I noticed that when I use discord, I don't have any issue with the music audio: I can hear perfectly fine the music while I'm on discord, but I noticed that I can't lower the in call volume, because there wasn't the slider.
I somehow made that slider appear and now, not only the music sounds like a 144p yt video from 2005 with terrible sound but the volume of the music goes up and down with both the multimedia slider and in call slider
There's a way to fix this problem? I really really hate not to be able to use discord and listening to the music, I had a opo and I've never had such an issue
Factory reset. A good practice after a major software update !
