could you give me an help please ?

No easy method work for now. Only solution is downgrade to 4.1, root and flashing some rom based on .199 build. Or there is some script that should help you retain root with OTA upgrade, but you still need to downgrade to 4.1.

I am very grateful to you. you saved me from headache....

I would like to take advantage of your willingness to ask a few questions....
I have done a firmware backup using the SUS and Flashtool.
Bootloader is locked at this time on my V.
I would like to know if I can install cyanogenmod 11 and in the future I can back to previous original firmware "tft" using this Flashtool procedure ?
-how to install the newest Android 4.3 for Sony XPERIA V LT25
-paste the ftf file downloaded in step c) to folder „Firmware“ included in the XPERIA Flashtool.
-open the XPERIA Flashtool, click on flash and choose downloaded firmware, than click ok.
-turn off your phone and when Flashtool shows pop up window, connect phone to PC with holding volume down button
-after few minutes all is done and your phone gets the new firmware
Installing CM11 Xperia V is automatically rooted ?
Back to previous original xperia firmware, using flashtol, remains something of CyanogenMod ? Device returns unrooted ?
Thank You

First of all CM won't work with locked bootloader, and you can't install it using Flashtool. It contains Superuser app so it's rooted.
You can always flash your device with Flashtool using .ftf files to return it to stock firmware.
If you choose to unlock bootloder consider backing up TA partition of phone (there's a tool for that here but the phone has to be rooted http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2292598) so you can restore your DRM keys later (if you return to stock firmware and you want to have Bravia engine and the rest of the stuff dependent on DRM).

yesterday unfortunately, I made confusion between ROOTING and UNLOOK BOOTLOOADER so I have unlocked bootloder using flashtool and the day after I have re-locked it. Have I lost sony DRM ?
I think no... becouse I don't make changes that affected device partition, is it correct ?
So I ve got to wait for better and simple method to root my device before make other experiment, what do you think about it ?

I think you lost it when you unlocked it cause TA partition got formated, it doesn't matter if you relock it afterwards.

Check if in the Album app if pictures change when using Bravia Engine; if you didn't back up your TA partition before unlocking, as far as I know, you lost your DRM keys forever, relocking won't change a thing.

CONFIRMED I lost DRM keys...
At this Point I decide to dance, I' ll downgrade to a version to root device by doomLord patch first. I found a post in which users explain how to install Bravia Engine 2 using PimpMyRom App. Finally I Will upgrade to Last Xperia firmware.... And I' ll do a big backup!!!
Are you according to me? You suggest to me something different?

I'd not worry much abt Bravia Engine. The pics appears slightly brighter, shadows are therefore a bit better, and the colours are a tiny whee little bit more vibrant. If I had to put it into a number the difference is somewhere below the 10 % mark %. You get better results by taking pictures properly in the first place.

It would be better to unlock bootloader again and then root flashing some custom kernel.

I'm sorry for my bad English ....
I have not paid enough attention this morning as I read the post.
it would seem easier after reading the post a second time...
- I NEED -
SuperSU Install zip
Doomkernel v08 kernel.elf file
" ATTENTION Doomkernel v08 is for xperia T while Doomkernel v07 for xperia V according to the post : forum.xda-developers.com - Doomkernel v07 for xperia V & require stock JellyBean FW (9.1.A.1.140) "
Sony stock 4.3 kernel, attached to the post.
Flashtool to Unlock Boot Loader
Fastboot mode -> Holding down the power and volume up
A brain and common sense.
1) by FLASHTOOL -> install the stock Android 4.3 FTF*
2) by FLASHTOOL -> fastboot mode and install the v08 Doomkernel kernel.elf
3) by FLASHTOOL -> upon boot, go into recovery**, and install the zip SuperSU normally
4) by FLASHTOOL -> fastboot mode install the provided stock Sony 4.3 Kernel
5) Unplug your phone, boot it, and there you go, rooted stock Android 4.3.
* Which version of latest stock rom do you suggest for my V :
- the first that I downloaded from xperiafirmware.com 9.2.A.1.199.
- the second created (after installation of the first) with Sony Update Service SUS , decrypted by Flashtool and saved into .tft format ?
** ..."go into recovery" is automated upon boot ?
At the end can I lock the boot loader to recive pc companion updates ?

Rooting .290 JB 4.3

Hello,
Coming from a Galaxy S2 flashing and rooting is not new to me but for me there are some questions for the Xperia Z1.
When i bought the Z1 it was on 4.2.2, and offcourse i wanted root the same day
After trying numerous times with Vroot i gave up.
After some more reading i read that i had to downgrade and then flash an older version, then root and flash teh correct version and so on.....(cant find the correct topics anymore )
After doing that my phone wasnt working properly and i connected with PC Companion and it gave me the update to .290 JB 4.3 and everything was fine except foor root.
Did some more reading and found the solution,
Now I'm reading that if you are on .290 4.3JB that root isnt possible(correct me if im wrong).
I want to share how i did it because for me it went very easy. The hardest part was getting the drivers installed correctly hhaha
First i unlocked the bootloader and then i flashed a CWM with root and recovery.
I followed the steps provided on this links.
http://techbeasts.com/2013/12/18/how-to-unlock-bootloader-of-sony-xperia-devices-guide/
http://techbeasts.com/2013/12/19/in...ng-latest-14-2-0-a-290-firmware-how-to-guide/
Al of this went so easy that i'm startin to wonder if its me who did it wrong and dont understand it or if you didnt know about it,
The only thing i forgot was a TA backup
to MODS....if its in the wrong section please replace it.
Actually it is the official way. Unlock -> CWM -> Root with CWM (Notification)
Rooting 4.3 isn't impossible, but morr difficult than on earlier versions. Google wanted to improve the security of android. Most of the ways which "make" the opportunity of rooting are malware-ways too.
You don't need to backup your TA partition with .290 and above, because the camera will work after the BL unlock.
The big question is if root for unlocked boot loaders will ever be available for 4.3! I really doubt it.
Sent from my C6903 using xda app-developers app
You mean Locked Bootloader, i think?
Question about CWM, does it function the same as it did with my S2? So, back-up and restore with CWM?

I have heard from @shem2409 that a partial root on LB for 290 (4.3) is possible, but I have not figured out how to do it yet. I think you can pull it off with the insecure ramdisk hack, but to install that, you need to install XZDualRecovery; to install XZDR, you need to be rooted; it's only possible to root 534 LB and when upgrading to 290 root is lost. So, it seems to be a chicken-and-egg problem to me at the moment. I think I must be missing something.

That's why I do not rooted mine phone yet. Partial root is not worth to do, full root is what we really need but still under testing and also Unlocked Bootloader is needed. Unlock bootloader we lose the DRM keys which we need if one day we want go back to stock and not lose warranty but to do that we have to Buckup TA. To Backup TA we need root, but I updated to 4.3 and I can't. It's to early to fully rooting 4.3. We have to wait. Developers are working on that and I hope a full root come without unlock bootloader. I hope so.

If you want to backup TA now, you can - flash back to any 534 FTF, root, make your backup, then upgrade back to 290.

This is what I don't want to do. Unlocking Bootloader on 4.3 will also compromise few features like Bionz and X-Reality. I don't think I really need them but for me will be good enough to have Full Root with Locked Bootlader and Apps to SD. I don't ask to much, so I wait.

You just took those words from my fingers. The wise way here is waiting and cheering developers to figure out how things work with Z1, 4.3 just came a few weeks ago and (hopefully) we will get 4.4 soon, so for that time you'll have to do that trickery again to keep your phones rooted.

I mistakenly took the .290 update as well and I'm now looking for a way out. This whole backing up the TA thing worries me because I'm afraid I'll lose those DRM keys and bravia etc..... Are you saying that I will be fine and all the keys will be intact if I follow this guide?
Is it possible to downgrade the firmware instead?
What would you suggest?
Thanks

Ok, so here is a little clarification
You need to downgrade to .534, root, install recovery and then flash a prerooted .290 rom from (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2572988) or one of the stock-based custom roms such as monxdified (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2463675) if you want a partially rooted, locked bootloader 4.3 firmware on your Z1. There is an instruction on how to install on locked bootloader in the thread.
Rooting on the newest version of Android 4.3.3 isn't impossible on the Xperia Z1, it just takes you more steps than normal to actually get full root access. I have a locked bootloader as well but I was able to get a rooted version of Android 4.3.3, specifically the iHackers 2.0 ROM running Android 4.3.3 with full root access. Here's how I got full root access on the iHackers 2.0 ROM:
1) Download the .ftf file named C6903 14.1.G.1.534 Global 1277-2880_R4A from the compiled FTF thread at this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2469191
This is a version of the original Stock Rom that the VROOT program will actually work on when trying to ROOT your phone.
2) Flash the ROM you downloaded using Flashtool (steps on how you can go about doing that should be in the Xperia Z1 General forum.) and now, you're ready to root your phone with it.
3) Download, install and run VROOT to root your phone. Again, more information on how to properly root your phone using VROOT can be found in the Xperia Z1 General forum. For me, I just turned on USB Debugging on my Z1, connected my phone to my computer while VROOT was running and clicked the green button until I got root access. It's extremely easy.
4) With Root Access, now you can download and install Dual Recovery for the Xperia Z1 on your phone.
5) Download the latest iHackers 2.0 ROM from the Xperia Z1 Android Development thread and copy it to your phone. This is hands down, the best ROM for the Xperia Z1 right now in terms of battery life. With the latest 4.3 update, I'm able to get over 2 Days worth of battery life on one charge. Battery life is much better on the new iHackers 2.0 ROM running Android 4.3.
6) Download the flashable Locked Dual Recovery for the Xperia Z1 here. http://nut.xperia-files.com/
The file is called XZ-lockeddualrecovery2.7.63-BETA.flashable.zip (8.48MB), download it and copy it to your phone, preferably the same place you copied the iHackers 2.0 ROM. To make things easier for yourself, create a new folder on your phone or SD Card in your phone and name it iHackers. Copy both the iHackers 2.0 ROM and the flashable Locked Dual Recovery.zip file into this folder.
7) With both files now copied to a folder on your phone, you're now ready to go into recovery to flash the iHackers 2.0 ROM. Boot into recovery and once you're there, do a Wipe Data/Factory Reset before Installing the ROM.
The rest of these steps are now taken directly from the iHackers 2.0 download thread on the Xperia Z1 Android Development forum.
8) Install the ROM and THEN Dual Recovery. Don't make the same mistake I did, once the installer is finished, DON'T REBOOT THE DEVICE. Uncheck the "Reboot Device" box and go back to recovery to install the flashable Dual Recovery.zip file that's in the iHackers 2.0 folder.
9) Switch Off Your Phone (Do Not Reboot). Select No to Disable Flash Recovery Confirmation.
10) Install Kernel.ftf for C6903 (.290) or Kernel.ftf for C6902 (.290) with Flashtool to get compatible Kernel and Baseband. To download the kernel.ftf file, go to the original iHackers 2.0 thread to download and flash the kernel using Flashtool. You should be familiar with Flashtool at this point since if you make it to this step, you've already used Flashtool once to flash the .534 baseband version of Android.
11) Reboot and Enjoy. Now you're running the latest version of Android 4.3 on your Xperia Z1 on a Locked Bootloader WITH full Root Access. Sure, it's not the stock version but the iHackers 2.0 version of Android 4.3 is just as good, if not better. This will certainly do until there's a better way to simply root the newest Stock Version of Android 4.3.
I've been looking into unlocking my bootloader to install custom kernels on my Z1 but the battery life and performance on my Z1 with a locked bootloader is already pretty impressive. I can't imagine how good it could be with a custom kernel.

No, if you Unlock Bootloader you will lost the DRM keys permanently with Bionz and X-Reality, even with Android 4.3, if you do not do a backup, but the difference from 4.2 is that your phone will still working properly.

Thanx man. I appreciate the time you took to explain the process step by step. One step very important you forgot to mention, Backup TA, never forget to mention that. The instructions didn't say to unlock the bootloader, which is the only sure-fire way to lose your TA partition. However, I would agree there's no good reason *not* to back it up anyway. Better safe than sorry!

Sorry, no. In his instructions, UB is not necessary because XZDualRecovery can be installed on LB. The reason skipping the TA backup is okay is because the instructions do not unlock the BL.

[Q] Confusion on TA Partition backup with the latest stock firmware

Hello!
I have searched various places about rooting my SP. I am about to root my SP, it was newly bought (2 months old) so it would be better if the TA Partition is backed up. After inspecting several articles and stuffs, I was advised to back up my TA Partition before attempting to root my phone.
As of 12.1.A.0.266 update, rooting requires unlocking the bootloader. Which doesn't follow the rule to back up the TA Partition. As one may know, a phone must be rooted in order to back up the TA partition but at the same time, such bootloader must not be unlocked
I've searched everywhere I can, however I can't find any solution. Forgive me if there are any articles or thread created regarding the same topic.
Any immediate help would be extremely appreciated.
The phone is running latest stock firmware and had no customisations so far.

Use a pre-rooted rom (PureXSP, eXistenZ)...Not sure if it will work!Don't try unless a person with higher android knowledge skills answers!
How about you just FTF flash an older firmware?

flashing ftf won't require unlocked bootloader isn't it? I do thought of downgrading then root and then backup such TA partition.
No it wont.
For the Sony features like Bravia Engine etc you need the TA partition. Flashtool will (or should) work without the TA partition. It will only tell you that your bootloader is unlocked
I was in the exactly the same position as you few days ago when I decided to customize my Xperia SP
Here is what I have done...
I was on the latest .266 OTA updated FW and then ... ...
I downloaded and flashed with Flashtool "Xperia SP (C5303)_12.0.A.2.254_Generic_DE.with_loader.sin.ftf"
Then flash XperiaSP_C530X_12.0.A.1.257_KernelOnly.ftf
Now you can use DooMLoRD_Easy-Rooting-Toolkit_v18_perf-event-exploit.zip
and then flash back XperiaSP_C530X_12.0.A.2.254_KernelOnly.ftf for your current FW
Now that you have rooted your phone you can use Backup-TA-9.10 tool to backup your TA partition and save your precious DRM keys
And when you have your TA partition backup safely archived somewhere
you can go to Sony site to request code for unlocking bootloader.
When your bootloader is unlocked use FASTBOOT to flash any kernel that have custom recovery
(like Nayak03 or DoomLord's V05 or DoomLord's advanced STD .266)
and then when you have custom recovery you can install pretty much everything you find around here.
If you need more details or want me to put links to threads and files I've looked and download just say... :cyclops:

It is not about Flashing, it is warranty.. My phone is 2 months old and there are 8 more months for valid warranty.

Wohoo thanks! Yes, I do thought of the same way, however, I am looking forward to use the stock sony .266 FW after rooting the older 254. Any tutorial you can give here or any links I can get on how to actually "install" the .266 firmware?
Yes I do would like some links on downloading those stuff except Flashtool, I did have it already. If you don't mind posting them..
By the way, since I see that .266 FWs have different versions for each region on this world respectively, may I know how to get one that is international or south-east asia specific?
some links that might help you.. (links for downloading stuff in there...)

You just need to go step by step and in right order...
1 downgrade FW to 12.0.A.2.254 (or 245) DOWNLOAD HERE
2 change to rootable kernel 12.0.A.1.257 DOWNLOAD HERE
3 use DoomLords perf_exploit rooting script DOWNLOAD HERE
4 flash back kernel only 12.0.A.2.254 DOWNLOAD HERE
5 start your phone and start TABackup HERE
6 go to Sony site for an unlock code as explained HERE
for which you use Fastboot HERE
7 again with fastboot flash kernel with custom recovery like THIS one DoomKernel AdvStd .266
8 reboot to recovery while presing VOL+ key when lightshow starts and install CustomROM of your choice which you downloaded previously and put it on your microSD card.
OR if you want stock rooted FW
in step 7 first flash official .266 FW then fastboot DoomLords .266 AdvStd kernel
boot to recovery and from it root your system

Thank you @mrhnet and @freedom74 !

I just registered xda just to ask this question and I received a really good help.

[Root][4.4.2][LB/UB] Stock 10.5.A.0.230 Xperia ZR

Xperia ZR • Pre-Rooted Stock 10.5.A.0.230
Hi everyone!
Today, the first 4.4 build of Sony for the Xperia ZR rolled out.
So, I've use DIY Guide by @[NUT] to build an pre-rooted version for you. (Me, I'll go back on custom ROM after testing that for you. ^^)
It's available for LB and UB.
Let's go!
Features :
Based on the firmware 10.5.A.0.230 (4.4.2) (Taiwan location for C5502, Nordic location for C5503)
Pre-Rooted
Built-in Dual Recovery @[NUT] 's"XZDR"
Needed files :
For both (C5502/03) :
UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.94.zip (→ Paste it on sdcard)
ZR-lockeddualrecovery2.7.124-BETA.flashable.zip (→ Paste it on sdcard as well)
For C5502 (3G) :
Xperia ZR C5502 • Pre-Rooted 10.5.A.0.230 by Thibou.zip (→ Place on sdcard)
C5502_10.5.A.0.230_Stripped.ftf
For C5503 (4G/LTE) :
Xperia ZR C5503 • Pre-Rooted 10.5.A.0.230 by Thibou.zip (→ Place on sdcard)
C5503_10.5.A.0.230_Stripped.ftf
Installation :
If you coming from on 4.3 :
Flash 4.2.2 FTF or 4.1.2 FTF
Root your firmware with VRoot/Kingo etc (for 4.2.2) or with Doomlord's one (for 4.1.2)
Install Recovery
Boot to Recovery
Wipe cache partition, wipe Dalvik cache and wipe Data/Factory reset
Flash Pre-Rooted Rom .zip file from Recovery
Flash "UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.94.zip" from Recovery
Flash "ZR-lockeddualrecovery2.7.124-BETA.flashable.zip" from Recovery
Switch off your phone
Flash Stripped FTF with flashtool
Reboot your phone
First boot will take longer than usual boot.
You're done!
If you have LB with 4.2/4.3 and Recovery or UB :
Go to Recovery
Wipe cache partition, wipe Dalvik cache and wipe Data/Factory reset
Flash Pre-Rooted Rom .zip file from Recovery
Flash "UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.94.zip" from Recovery
Flash "ZR-lockeddualrecovery2.7.124-BETA.flashable.zip" from Recovery
Switch off your phone
Flash Stripped FTF with flashtool
Reboot your phone
First boot will take longer than usual boot.
You're done!
If you have trouble with recovery, delete the folder "XZDualRecovery" and reboot to recovery with the app "NDR Utils".
Please... Backup your data before starting.
And don't try dirty install. Make clean install to avoid lot of bugs. So, make all wipes.

1.yes, it is rooted after flashing this.
2. If you mean your phone may become a brick, I can say that is very very unlikely. In case things go wrong, u should still be able to recover it to original condition. So the risk is really really small.
3.To do this, you must have your phone's bootloader unlocked, and that means a good bye to your warranty, of course. But if u use Backup TA (search in this forum) and a recovery tool, u can recover your phone and even relock the bootloader and warranty comes back
4. Bravia Engine remains with you. This is an update, it can only be better than before, no way disappeared.
5. Honestly I don't know. But since Folder Mount supports 4.4, it should work here as well.
6. You should check your model if it is C5502 or C5503. If it is 5502, then no problem. If 5503 (in other words Egypt has LTE) I think you can't no longer use LTE in that case you should wait for someone making a prerooted version for C5503.

Then you have to wait, or learn to DIY. Because it's harder to make it prerooted in locked bootloader, and also not many people out there worry about unlocking, so
LB versions always come later than their UB counterparts.

Ok guys, I had connection problems. It's uploading now.
I've build the pre-rooted version for C5003 too.
Concerning locked bootloader (LB), actually it's possible to install this pre-rooted version but it's complex. I'll tell you what to do for LB.
As I said in OP, you will have the links today or tomorrow. Be a little bit patient. It's a question of hours. I study during the day...
thanks

[Q] Rooting

Hello there,
I am trying to root my Sony Xperia Z ( 6603 ) which is currently on Android 4.4.2 [ Built 10.5.A.0.230 ]
This is my first time rooting my device but what from I have heard, I can do it in 2 different ways.
1 Way
Downgrade to 4.2.2 [ Built 10.3.A.0.423 ] FTF File Link
Use easy rooting method
2 Way
Unlock Bootloader ( Loose DRM Keys and Warranty, etc )
Root the Device
I just want confirm that I might go for the 1st way.
So I simply ( back up if I want)
Copy the .ftf file I downloaded into Firmwares ( Flashtool )
*Download latest drivers?
Flash .ftf file on my device
Follow the Prompts (do the Volume key down and plug etc,)
Wait to complete
Voila! I am back to 4.2.2
Now I just follow the Easy Rooting by Doomlord
Can anybody confirm that this is the correct way? It's I'm kinda newbie to rooting

This will work, the needed drivers are in the /Flashtool/Drivers folder. Best is to use windows 7, on 8.1 there have been some problems (don't know correctly about them as I don't use it)

One better and very easy method..
Backup ur TA Partition.. Unlock Ur Bootloader and flash a 4.4.2 Advanced Kernel and Flash a Pre Rooted 4.4.2 rom. Then Relock ur Bootloader. After That switch off phone and Flash a Stripped 4.4.2 kernel via flashtool and flash SuperSU Fix. Done

You need to root to backup your TA partition. As he is already on 4.4.2, there is no way to directly gain root without unlocking the bootloader and erasing his DRM keys.
The only way to gain root now is to either just unlock the bootloader and lose DRM keys forever or by downgrading as already mentioned earlier in the thread.

Why I can't remove virus from a rooted Sony Xperia E1?

Hi!
I've a Trojan (Qysly.BX) on my Xperia E1.
I've scanned it with some app antivirus, but I wasn't able to remove it because I haven't rooted it or, better, I was thinking so.
I rooted my Xperia, but I'm still with my trojan.
What can I do?
Reflash a firmware (or ROM using recovery)
You can also remove the "virus" using TWRP recovery with file manager

Xperia E1 isn't compatible with TWRP Manager I think
Yes, you need to unlock your bootloader, but It voids your warranty
Using flashtool you can reflash your firmware without any problem (and doesn't require unlocking your bootloader)

Also rooting voids my warranty and I've already done it!!! In each case, it will terminate soon.
Can I reflash my firmware without data loss?
I was been making a backup of all my data.
Where can I find the 20.1.A.2.19 firmware for my smartphone?
Is there a guide about how to reflash it?
Can be this? https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1AAC4lt7nzORGdfZGZSTndzTHc/view?usp=sharing
I need to follow this instruction?:
a) download and install latest Flashtool
b) download the 20.1.A.2.19 for Sony XPERIA E1
c) paste the ftf file downloaded in step b) to folder „Firmware“ included in the XPERIA Flashtool
d) open the XPERIA Flashtool, click on flash and choose downloaded firmware, than click ok. Important - if you do not want to delete any data of your phone, just uncheck flashing userdata.sin file. All data will remain in your phone, but sometimes it can cause additional troubles. So it is better (and I recommend that) to do the backup of your personal data, than proceed with clean instalation and then restore your personal data.
e) turn off your phone and when Flashtool shows pop up window, connect phone to PC with holding volume down button
f) after few minutes all is done and your phone gets the new firmware
Can someone tell me if there is something wrong and if this firmware is what I need?
It depends.
D2005 = Single
D2105 = Dual
Like I've said you can flash a new firmware to get rid of that nasty virus, this is also (somewhat) better than using custom ROMs (yes, for a while I used my ROM Cheetah, but It seems official firmware is more stable)
