Rooting GT-I9000 reboot loop help - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Yes, I know there are a lot of these posts here most likely.
The thing is I don't know which remedy I should follow to resolve this situation as many of them seem to expect that the device is rooted already. Or people are in a boot loop after previously rooting it, and upgrading from a previous custom firmware. My device is stock never rooted.
What I have done is follow the steps in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1852546
I followed these only to the end of the first section to root the deivce. I am running a GT-I9000.
The first time I ran Odin it gave me an unable to open serial port error. I rebooted the phone and this time it worked giving me a pass green box in the top right.
Since then, the phone boots to the samsung splash screen and immediately reboots in a cycle. I can get to the download page again, and can get to the recovery page again but am unable to get it out of the boot loop.
I used the Semaphore_2.7.4.tar linked to in the guide, and installed the samsung usb drivers prior to running anything. I am using windows 8 for this.
So my question is what do I need to do from here?
Thank you in advance for any assistance.

[Q] help - unsuccessful rooting, phone stuck on booting screen

hi, i'm completely new to the android experience, so I know next to nothing about rooting. I read the post on how to root my samsung galaxy sII and decided to root it. I did the odin with
XWKDD_insecure.tar, and it was fine. Following that, I went on to use superoneclick. However, everytime i tried to root using superoneclick , the program becomes not responding on my
computer, so I gave up. After that, I turned on my phone and the wifi and 4g no longer works. So i follow an post trying to restore the factory firmware, the only catch is, my phone is
an US Sprint phone, and the firmware available in the post was the UK version. I used odin to run the UK version of samsung simfree firmware, but it failed. Following that, I went to
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1102881 to download the android 2.3.3 for north america. I ran it using odin and it failed as well. so now my phone will turn
on but its stuck on the page that says samsung galaxy s2 with a warning sign on it. I can't turn it off with the power button. I have to manually remove the batter. Someone please help
me, I just got this phone last week.
Now its stuck on this :

[Q] Semi-bricked Phone

I admit I am the noob of noobs, so this complete jobber asks for your help.
Having been on 2.3.5 Gingerbread XFJVA using the method from the website below and this worked perfectly fine
http://androidadvices.com/update-samsung-galaxy-i9000-official-gingerbread-235-xfjva-firmware/
I tried to root the phone and upon rebooting was faced with this screen:

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",

}
The phone can enter download mode (but not recovery mode), but I'm scared to try anything without reassurance. What do I do? can someone please give me some step by step help, I just want to get back what I had before the root (ie. the 2.3.5 XFJVA)
Thanks!

Try this, with the correct PIT and PDA files:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cEjTaFg_2Ks&feature=related
correct,
you have now to reflash the entire stock Samsung ROM with Odin, checking RE-PARTITION and with the correct pit file.
my bad, forgot to quit Samsung Kies.. that was the problem..

[Q] CF-Root confusion, which one to get?

Hello, I just got a Galaxy S i9000t, I needed to flash it with a rom from XDA(The current miui if that matters), and so I looked for a way to put a cwm on it, the way I found was using CF-Root, but when I got there I found so many versions and numbers that I didn't understand.
I noticed that in my device I had software version JVB(This is PDA I guess), and in baseband I had JV7, so I downloaded this and flashed it in Odin:
CF-Root-XW_XEE_JVB-v3.1-CWM3RFS.zip
The device boots okay, but when I reach the homescreen, it reboots quickly to the logo of the communication network(Hot reboot I think this was called?), and then back into home screen, which then triggers the reboot again, so I guess I did something wrong.
Can someone direct me to the right version for me? I found nothing about JV7 in the CF-Root thread, and if I need another version, can I just flash it in odin after I flashed the wrong one?
Thank you.

i9000T is same as i9000, but meant for specific regions, so your base-band is important for communicating with your home network. , you should note it down and use that when changing ROM's
if you only want Root, you can use Framaroot , if you want CWM you can use semaphore kernel. make sure your version is (froyo/ gingerbread) correct

Same thing happened to me flashing a Tmobile rom. To prevent this you need to go through the setting and allow unlocked bootloaders (or something like that, currently flashing my phone to look it up) but this will prevent this lock from triggering. How I got past this? Odin'd back to stock and flashed everything again.
Bro phone doesn't go to main windows how I can go to setting it's only stuck on bootloop
Have you tried flashing the stock image in odin?
Stock rom from sammobile?
Yeah, you'll need to get familar with the hardware keys and how to boot into download mode with them. Typically I'd link you with instructions but I think googling it yourself will do you some good. Do some research and be sure to answer nicely to those who offer help.

I messed up my phone, need some help.

I decided I wasn't going to root/install any roms on this phone, but Samsung recently updated their Samsung Pay app and there has been a huge square at the bottom of my screen for quick access to this stupid ****ing app that I can't uninstall and will never use. So I decided to try and install a new ROM on it and I was following this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmo...m-darthstalker-note5-version-1-aroma-t3212091
I don't exactly know how it happened, I got lost in tons of pages of guides and whatnot, but I eventually installed Noble Kernel, which then gave me the KERNEL IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING boot stuck error. I then tried to install TWRP because apparently Noble Kernel is the only one you can load via Odin, and now im getting RECOVERY IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING.
All I can boot into is download mode. I tried flashing stock android and odin always fails after less than a second, and it gives no reason why. Ive tried every version of odin, all my USB ports, and different stock image files.

Has anyone gone through this? I have no idea what to do next.
Same issue... is there a resolution
Did you ever figure this one out im in the same boat and would really like to know what to do

If u can still go in download mode then search for SamFirm in xda or look into general section of note 5 thread. I think ur model is T version. Here u can download the 4 files thru SamFirm and flash thru ODIN method.
