Has anyone been able to get the stock KitKat camera working with Photo Sphere for NON rooted devices? I'm aware that there's a method of getting it to work with lib files, which requires root access though.
I have the 4.3 gallery app but would like the KitKat version since they made improvements to Photo Sphere. Thanks for your help!

Hi Everyone,
Posted this question on last page of this thread as it was here I downloaded files and followed instructions:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1965991
but no replies - about installing the 4.2 camera on an ICS rom
I'm getting the com.google.android.gallery3d has stopped error whenever I try to 'edit' a picture from the new gallery
Flashed the gallerygoogle and gmscore apks and all the .so files are in place with the right permissions, I've tried with two versions of the libjni_filtershow_filters.so file I've found, one is about 25kb and the other is about 54kb
I haven't disabled the original camera or gallery, although old camera has disappeared now
New Camera, Gallery and Photosphere are working fine (though I am limited to 5MP), but I want to edit/touch up the photospheres - I can edit from the ORIGINAL gallery, but this reduces resolution and the jpg loses the photosphere status
Any ideas? Is it a conflict with the original gallery? Or is there another version of the lib files I should be using? and re: that, is there a version where photosphere/camera isn't limited to 5MP? (have done the prop.build mod to say I'm on a galaxy nexus)
I'm on Xperia T, stock 303 rom, rooted
Thanks!
J
Hey guys,
I've just updated to the official 4.2.2 ROM (.244 update, HK version firmware) and I realize there is no Photosphere feature in my camera.
Can you guys confirm this?
photosphere is only available in AOSP/vanilla android... do a search someone's posted it u can install it like a normal apk
Use this one:

Install as normal apk.
Hi! The only thing I don't like about the new lollipop update is the way ZOE works, we can no longer save video highlights to ext-sdcard. So I want to ask if there is a way to install or use the old ZOE app (from Kitkat for example) in lollipop environment?
I stuck with 5.0.2 stock, just rooted, but turns out my old gallery app doesn't give me an option to draw on my photos. I heard this is fixed in a later software update. Can anyone give me the updated apk so that I can patch the gallery app without unrooting, updating and rereooting?
Thanks!
I loaded lollipop on my MB886 without keeping the APKs for the apps I wanted, the big one being the stock motorola camera app. Can someone who has an MB886 and 4.1.1 version please upload the stock camera APK? I'm looking for the one that includes the panorama functionality and has the black UI (I can't post a link for reference). Other threads that have been created for this seem to have broken links to old dropbox uploads.
