OK, so pulling recovery from that file is far beyond my capabilities and knowhow. I tried extracting the zip, but it keeps telling me the folder is invalid....
any thoughts?

Official Update: Verification failed.

Hi all,
I've unlocked the bootloader on my Nexus One.
I got the message that there was a new froyo update. When I try to install I got this error: "Verficiation failed".
Is there a way to install this new update, like a force on the verficition check or installing the official bootloader again?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Dirk
Do you have a custom recovery?
?
From what I've read you may not want to update, being the main fix is to disable/make it more difficult to root. You may want to for your own reasons, idk. Just putting it out there.
First, thanks for the reply's.

It could be that I have a custom recovery (I've followed a manual, and there was a step to choose for Nexus bootloader or Cyonogenmod bootloader. I've choosed Nexus.
Is there a way to get the official custom recovery back?
I don't have a custom rom.

[Q] HTC One (AT&T) Factory Restore Help

Hi,
I was just installing the CM 10.1 ROM and I received the error "Unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped". After this, I tried to reinstall the stock boot.img I got from Android Revolution and I seem to have lost everything on the phone. When connected via USB, the phone folders are normally shown, but now they aren't. As well, when trying to boot, I get stuck at the HTC logo screen. I tried fastboot flash boot boot.img but I keep receiving the error that the device can't be detected and/or the partition "boot.img" can't be found. I did cd c:\Root (my rooting folder) beforehand and boot.img is in there. How do I factory reset as in reinstall original OS with HTC Sense 5 UI on it so that everything went back to when I took it out of the box? If there's a way to do it via TWRP which I have installed, I would love to know how.

Yes and I can get into recovery and start the boot, but I get stuck at the load screen. How do I flash the T-Mobile ruu.zip? (Pretty much the same as AT&T)

i dont think you can flash that type of file. download a rom that is in zip format then flash it or you might be able to use all in one toolkit to push the file u you have to the phone.
but i recommend getting a zip file that is proven to work for you device

[Q] OTA Upgrade to Sense 5.5 Android 4.4.2

Hi,
I'm running sense 5.5 android 4.3 version 3.63.707.3, firm, rooted, CWMR, s-on.
I'm able to download the 4.20.707.6 OTA update, but can't install it. Flashing the stock recovery will fix it?
Thx.

yes lol as we said in the other thread you posted in. I posted you the stock recovery for your version there. your recovery here
save it to your adb/fastboot folder
boot your phone in bootloader mode and select fastboot
Code:
fastboot flash recovery <name_of_file>.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
You will probably loose root ,you will need to root your phone again after ota's

I have another question, though. Which custom recovery do you recommend? I had CWMR, but reading the forum I noticed a lot of people using TWRP.

I recommend latest twrp recovery (either 2.6.6.3 or 2.6.6.4) which is required to flash 4.4 roms

Flashing radio adb

Can anyone point me to a thread on how to flash a 5.1 radio on my AT&T variant please? I've got the correct file but don't want to hose my phone up guessing. My ADB works just fine, I'm just not sure how to flash the radio / firmware in it.
My issue is I'm on a 5.1 rom and my LTE signal sucks. Don't get it much anymore. I'm assuming that's my problem.
Thanks!

Flashing is done through fastboot, not ADB.

Thanks, but I don't have an .img file. I have a .zip that has to be done while in fastboot mode with adb. Hopefully that thread will get me through.

Ummm I'm no expert by any means but I've never heard of flashing in fastboot mode with ADB. ???
Here's a link to the ROM I'm using:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/development/rom-meanpop-v0-1-feb-22-5-0-1-t3037579
It actually says .bat file. But comes as a .zip. Maybe I should bug them in the ROM thread. lol

AFAIK, You can only flash radio images via fastboot.
If you have a zip, extract it until you get to the radio.img. then fastboot flash that.

Thanks! I finally figured out the .bat file could be run in a command prompt window and that called the fastboot commands. Thanks for the help!

Er yes.... .bat files are batch files containing commands that when you click it, run in command prompt
I blame not using Fastboot or ADB much. That along with the fear of a brick. Once I just opened up the .bat file and saw how little it did then it made sense.
