[Q] Bricked Xperia Z

Hello friends,
I was trying to change the customization code of my mobile to the one in US in order to get the 4.3 updated earlier then it is scheduled for MEA. After rooting the phone (using http://www.mgyun.com/) I used a root explorer to edit the build.prop file by changing the customization number as follows;
From:
Ro.semc.version.cust: 1270-7937
'ro.semc.version.cus_revision': R5B
to:
Ro.semc.version.cust: 1271-0119
'ro.semc.version.cus_revision': R1C
and rebooted my phone.
Since then my phone is gone into a loop, it start normally until the sony screen hangs there and the restarts.
Is it possible to restore my phone some how? Or is it gone for good now?
Thanks and best regards,
Kashif

Why you wanna unlock your bootloader?
Just make a clean flash(example JB 4.3) with flashtool and your phone will boot again. That's what Mackay53 said.
The Firmware you find here on xda and how to flash with flashTool also.

[Q] SIMLOCK - Xperia Z1 C6903

Hi,
I was trying to install the deodexed version of 4.4.2 Stock rom for my C6903
But it stuck at SONY logo,
so i flashed the older 4.2.2 FTF (C6903_14.1.G.1.534_1276-4314_R2A.ftf)
And now my phone is SIMLOCKED what the hell.
It did not have a simlock before, because in Belgium they don't do that.
Is there a way to get rid of it without unlocking bootloader to get full control of device kernel and ****...
FYI - I have a TA Backup of a working 4.2.2 and also of a working 4.4.2, might that help me getting rid of the simlock?
Thanks in advice
So now i did restore the TA Backup i had for 4.2.2
And guess what my imei number is gone,
and still no network ...
IMEI will come back if you flash a 4.3 or 4.4 FTF
SIMLOCK should have nothing to do with flashing FTFs
Try and flash a FTF from your original phone and try again

I had the same problem, it happen when you flash a different FTF for your region, I updated to 4.3 and it disappear.
...btw if you execute a Factory Reset maybe it will fix the problem.

[Q] 4.4.4 update failed

Hello. I just tried to update downloading via wifi. It downloads successfully, but later on restart and attempt to install this update, process fails and phone restarts back to previous 4.4.2. http://i.imgur.com/GoJrjqu.png
Phone is not rooted, I have never done anything to it what could cause this, just regular updates.
Message says "Could not install new software version. Try again." - http://i.imgur.com/3terGra.jpg
Have anybody had this issue, contacted Sony support or something?

Guess you are on VZW.
Just download the 6603 FTF
Exclude baseband while flashing the FTF from flashtool and you should be set.

Need c6606 .283 firmware

hi guys,
im in need of the .ftf for my c6606. i have searched everywhere and cant find a damn thing for the 10.5.a.1.283 firmware. before my phone officially got the update for KK i decided to flash the customized firmware and it changed my phone to c6616. when trying to restore my phone it says that there is no firmware to download in pc companion. the reason i want to start fresh is my phone has issues with mobile data sometimes and even on wifi, data just wont load.
thanks guys
Follow part 2 of my guide to package your own FTF using Flashtool. Just make sure your installed version of Flashtool is up to date.
Once you've done it, you can share it in the general section to help others looking for it.

Thanks for the reply. I want to flash the baseband that is for the c6606. By doing it that way would there be any issues? Or should I just root the phone and change things in the build prop so that it says it's a c6606 and hopefully it will update that way

Just try what he said,i did that yesterday and all went well, just see if you do it right!
So after trying a few firmwares I had issues with phone kept restarting. So I wiped everything and flashed back to the available c6606 firmware and got ota for 4.3 after that. Now that I'm on 4.3 it says I'm on the most up to date fw in PC companion and on phone. Sony website says most up to date is the .283 KitKat fw. Any reason why I can't update?

U can easily take kernel only from an ftf bro. Like i said download one ftf and flash it via flashtool. While flashing exclude all except Kernel.sin and FOTAKernel.sin. Done..
dude, my phone got this issue too, if you've solved this, can you share it to me dude? because i am stuck with bootloop issue to when flashing stock fw!
