I read it will work with more Galaxy mobiles and tablets out of the box than the original gear. It didn't say specifics though.
I was going to get one but after seeing the MOTO360, I have no interest on the fit.

Android Wear is nice but I like the fitness stuff on the Fit. Especially the heart rate monitor. The only thing that concerns me is the odd way you have to hold your wrist to check the time and notifications lol.

Gear Fit Review
Here you can see my video review for Gear Fit.
You can find out what apps does it have, how you can charge it and with which devices is it compatible

If I'm not mistaking, samsung said the gear 2 and fit will work on 26 devices

Maybe, what's Mogo? Can you post a link or explain what it is?
I believe it's a game controller.
If I'm right, it should. It's just limited on what games can be used with it. It's just a blue tooth controller. I think TMobile just includes some games that will work.
Yes they have it at tmobile

The Moga is a universal controller it will work for most Android Devices. My buddy has one and uses it with his nexus 7
It's called moga and there is already a thread about it I believe. The quality of the build is crap and there is a lot of lag. Avoid it at all costs.

Does anyone know of an accessory that would allow me to use my note2 as a gopro?
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda app-developers app
I assume you mean a stickypod that allows you to mount it to things. If you mean to say that you want a waterproof polycarbonate case too... I don't think you'll find it. I use a gopro on my race car but can't imagine putting my GN2 in that kind of environment... too big of an investment.

If you're willing to risk a $700 phone, just buy a Gopro and do the job right. The note 2 wasn't designed to be used as an extreme sports camera.
Good luck .

Good place to look is forums like paintball, motocross, etc and see if anyone is selling used if you don't want to pay store price for it.

Ohhhhh...wow!!! ...
Thanks. I should have a new sync cable design done this weekend as long as it rains all weekend.
Just need to figure out a new way to attach the cable to the watch
Cool to see.

hmm.... wireless charging mod seems doable... wonder if anyone has tried, i might this week.
Looking at the components you'd think they could have designed a smaller cradle. Not a lot of stuff going on in there.

As the title says.. I'm interested in a smart watch to compliment my N3..

Things are only worth as much as people will pay for them...
I paid $300 and at first felt that it was a bit too much (however also felt it fine for first gen and also because it was so much better than pebble @ $150 and heaps of possibilities)
Have a read of threads here as to what others have done with their gear and decide for yourself
Now it's in a position to make me choose to keep my s4 over the Nexus 5 I'm trying out - really don't want to give it up!

In my opinion it is worth $299 that I paid. It is fun, the new notifications are working well finally, and the apps that I can sideload on it without rooting it are cool as well. I use the pedometer all the time, and the Chat on messaging program is really fun while on the go to talk to the family. The color screen is great and I've even watched some movies on it and it is watchable. Being able to take a phone call on the watch has helped me a few times in reality even. I am sure the second version will be much better, and have better battery life, but for a first GEN device it is great.
Thanks for the feedback!

I paid £190, well worth it for this price!
I was happy at $299.

Currently, I am using a Note 2. I have yet to install the 4.3 update (plan on doing it in 2 weeks when i am off for 2 weeks). However, i love taking pictures, making phone calls, sideloading apps, and customizing the watch faces!!! I think it's well worth the money i spent on it. I will probably get the GG 2 when it comes out as well!!!
Personally just the quality of the watch, the customisable clock faces and camera itself is worth $200, add to this the notifications and ability to make phonecalls and all other frills, if you can afford it, definitely worth the money.

LoL...couldn't agree with you more. Also, with MK7 installed, the notifications are richer and provide more information than what we get with the stock US rom.

That is correct and it runs great with null 14 rom

I was thinking about grabbing a Galaxy Gear to work alongside my M8. Does anyone know if this would be compatible? I've tired searching the threads etc and some people say all the features work, some say they don't. Don't wanna waste my cash if I can't get the notifications etc working. Thanks
Sent from my HTC One_M8 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Not 100% work as I own it and try before. The not work part is all third party apps notification won't work. Others feature is work.
Nightmare. Is it worth it??

Sorry, Samsung Gear Live. Available in the play store under devices.
I'll take a look thanks

I'd recommend the lg g watch or just wait for the moto 360. The gear live is compatible with this phone but the lg and moto watches apparently are much more comfortable
Sent from my HTC6525LVW using Tapatalk
Yeah I'd personally wait for the 360. Just my preference though.
Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
Since it's in the play store it should be compatible with the M8 and all phones

Was only gonna pick up a gear coz I was getting it really cheap. Might just save my pennies and wait for the others to be released like you say.

I am going to be waiting for the Moto 360. I do have a question related though.
Is it possible to connect to the watch, as well as use a pair of bluetooth headphones with mic/in car hands-free system at the same time?
I currently have the Sony Smartwatch 2 and works pretty good.
