Download the zip and extract (mysplash.rgb565)
Download fastboot for your platform from HTC (click here) and extract to the same directory as the above
Power off your device, then power it on with Back button held down to access bootloader
Run a command prompt, change to the above dir and enter 'fastboot flash splash1 mysplash.rgb565' then 'fastboot reboot'

Download the zip, and copy it to your SD-Card
Enter the recovery mode by powering on while pressing "Home"
Select "Flash zip from sdcard" and select the downloaded file

Just to confirm before I go fiddling... this will replace the T-Mobile splash on my UK G2 right? I do like the HTC and Hero screens so want to keep those. I just can't stand the T-Mob G2 screen.
Also, any chance of getting this in update.zip format? Sorry if that's asking too much!

this does replace the very first image shown when booting your device. the animations of the htc and hero logo are called bootscreen and are part of the rom, while the splash screen is stored in a kind of a lower level storage.
afaik this can not be done via recovery image, so no update.zip ever.

I vote on this too....a green one would be extra nice! I'd definitely put that one on.
Maybe you could make the boot sound optional? That's just a suggestion tho.....

i think you didn't install the SPL required. The stock spl is checking for signed ..

Uploaded new Splash colors, green and yellow.
New colors of Bootscreen comes early next week.

ADB
- Install the android SDK
- Open Command Prompt
- Locate the SDK tools folder where ADB is located (example: <cd c:\android-sdk-windows\tools>)
- Now enter the following code in Command Prompt
adb remount
adb push c:\temp\480x800_AndroidGlow1.zip /data/local/bootanimation.zip
adb reboot

Boot animations are spectacular very nice. I loaded the AndroidParticles one but as I am seeing a little to much for my grandpa mytouch 3g lol. But still non the less I like it alot.

First bootanimations I actually like. I'm using AndroidParticles now

Is it possible for the particles to have the circle keep spinning around the droid logo instead of it repeating the whole animation over and over. I think it would look cleaner.

Installed android particles loop to my phone, but i can't understand. I see only 1.5 or 2 loops, and then some black screen for 3-4 seconds. maybe 5. then phone boot and work.
If this can be because the animation got insufficient frames? (i mean all the frames are shown, but the phone hasn't loaded)?
Can any1 comment on it?

I don't know, maybe it's the ROM you are using.
I'm using Cyanogen ROM and i see 1 or 2 loops then it goes directly (less then 1 sec) to lockscreen.
Still don't like it that it first needs to put all the images in cache before the animation goes smooth though...

I really like this one
If you download splashflasher (search the forums here for it) you can flash the img file to your phone so when it boots up rather then seeing the glowing white htc screen you see the nice custom one you've installed

you have widget locker, right?
put the zip in folder sdcard/data/com.teslacoilsw.widgetlocker/themes/
then choose Blackiceslide,
deaktivate the right slider, and choose the clear icon for the left one.

You can just put it on the base directory of your SD card and boot into hboot.

I'll repload the image later as jpeg so you can edit it ,then download splash flasher

No problem. You download the customruu.exe file and throw it in a folder called Splash, than you download any splash above and put it in that folder.
Power off your phone
Boot up with volume down plus power it should bring you to the tri color screen. Plug in usb wait for serial to turn to usb. Click the exe file and follow the directions.

Installation
To install splash screen, unzip, make sure the img file is named splash1.img, click install splash.bat or download Android flasher from here, which is a very good tool.
To install bootanimations I use Root Explorer .Find out where your bootanimation is stored and then replace it with the one you want, Then change permissions as shown in below diagram.

Hi there... Firstly, I want to thank you for your nice work on these themes & bootanimations
I have some questions...
To install bootanimations I use Root Explorer .Find out where your bootanimation is stored and then replace it with the one you want, Then change permissions as shown in below diagram.

I can't find my default bootanimation.zip in order to replace it with your bootanimation.zip.
I am on AR HD 7.00 and I am using Root Browser downloaded from Android Market. Theme:
I was searching in my phone default bootanimation.zip, but I can't find. After googling I find this guide: http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile/how-to-change-customize-create-android-boot-animation-guide/.
* There is no any bootanimation.zip in /system/media.
* There is no local folder under data folder ( /data/local ). Also I can't create local folder under data folder in order to copy newly downloaded bootanimation.zip.
Am I doin' something wrong??

Just download animation from ARHD #2 thread, then replace bootanimation.zip in
data/local.
For that you have to unpack the zip, change bootanimation.zip and zip the whole package again.
Then flash in recovery.
