Hi, I have a problem with unlocking my Sprint HTC One for GSM.
I cant get to unlock my bootloader and I cant get the s-off...
Normal way for unlocking bootloader via HTC dev fails because i can flash unlock token, when i enter the command in fasboot, i get error: ''cannot load token''
Bootloader was already once unlocked, but then i got it relocked and i dont know what to do now....
Message I get is: TAMPERED, RELOCKED
Could you tell me how to fix it? how to unlock bootloader and get s-off :good:
thanks
Are you in fastbootusb?
Is it the original token you from the first time you unlocked the bootloader?
Yes I am in fastbootusb
I can get the Identifier token, but i cant flash it, and unlock it...

I've searched everywhere without success, so I'm taking my problem to the community.
I'm having trouble with my HTC One Developer Edition: I can't unlock my relocked bootloader.
I locked my bootloader to I could use RUU, which was successful. So, now I attempt to unlock my bootloader with my Token ID: I successfully reach the screen where HTC warns me that I might be invalidating my warranty, then I select Yes and I'm told that my bootloader is unlocked. So, I boot into the bootloader, and the bootloader is "relocked." I've done this multiple times, and have even tried to flash a custom recovery without success.
I'm frustrated and could really use some help.

You should go S-OFF using Revone and try again using their command

revone hasn't been successful, yet.
Well, step two of Revone worked, but step 6 failed.

relock
but if you want it to show locked get s-off again, I suggest revone, and use the revone -l command to make it show locked ( that's a lowercase L)
after that if you want to S-off again do that and flash the RUU
I assume you're doing a warranty return.

Ooh..i understand now.. i need to s-off first, then only i can make it locked and then re"s-on" back...
i wanted to get stock Rom from custom Rom with image version 3.04.651.2 . So I downloaded latest ruu. Which is also 3.04.651.I re-locked boot loader and started ruu
It cleaned user data till 3% then got stuck at sending file.
Then returned error that it can't upgrade this version of ruu.
Now I'm at stuck at the white screen with boot loader , fastboot modes etc option. Custom recovery is gone. I can't unlock it again
I don't have s-off enable.
While erasing data it's on HTC black screen with logo.
Then it says sending . And then it gives error saying it can't update using this ruu. Try another version. I'm lost.:crying:
Please help me please.

Update you android sdk/platform tools folder that will fix the offline status
There are no files needing to be pushed to get s-off

Thanks, I got the online status.
Now I am with "Relocked" Bootloader, Hboot 1.55, 4.3 Android.
I read that I cannot get S-off on this built. Therefore I tried Rumrunner. But that is failing too after few reboots.
So what is the way to get Bootloader unlocked. Cannot Unlock via HTC DEV Since its Relocked.
My purpose here to unlock bootloader is ROOT the phone and unlock Sim Lock.
how to unlock Re-locked bootloader without ROOT access

You can use your unlock token if you still have it. If not you can use HTC-Dev again

thanks a ton. I swear I tried it thrice before. But I think because of drivers I got error message saying "too Many links"
I tried dev token again and it worked.
Now I have to figure out way to unlock SIM. So far all methods are proving useless after Sprint has decided to screw people with blocking s off and removing api that allowed SIM unlock

Is there a workaround? Something about changing your CID, whats the easiest method?
will SuperCID work? says need to be s-off, but dont u need the boot loader unlocked?
how to get s-off without unlocking bootloader?

Verizon setup the phone so that HTCDev method would not work. You can use firewater S-OFF and it will unlock your bootloader and grant you S-OFF at the same time.
Hello,
I have just managed to unroot my htc one m7 successfully after a lot of difficulty.
However, the bootloader still shows "RELOCKED" although TAMPERED is gone but I would like it to show "LOCKED" as it was before I had rooted it for the first time. Is it possible to get it back to show LOCKED while you are S-ON?
Any help will be highly appreciated.
Thanks.

How about if you unlock the bootloader to go S-OFF in order to get it locked and then lock the bootloader again to show S-ON?
Is this possible.
Also, even if it remains relocked, does this void warranty at all? Or does it still get recognized as never been rooted.

Yes, you'll need to unlock the bootloader, achieve s-off, set back the bootloader to locked and remove the tampered flag, flash a RUU and then turn back s-on.

Relocked means your bootloader was unlocked and locked back. Unlocking the bootloader might void your warranty light explained on htcdev.com/bootloader.

Only a phone showing S-ON and ***LOCKED*** (and without ***tampered*** or ***security warning*** flags showing) is under warranty. And even if your phone only shows S-ON and LOCKED like if it was never unlocked, they (HTC) can still look for your IMEI# in their database and know if you already requested an Unlock_code.bin file from htcdev.com to unlock your bootloader (not a problem if you are dealing with your carrier but might be a problem if dealing directly with HTC).

That is what I did, when going from root to unroot I had to first lock the bootloader and when I did so, the S-OFF went to S-ON by itself, so its not like I had to do something specific in order to achieve S-ON, similarly when you unlock the bootloader S-OFF comes by itself. Suppose I just unlocked and it is S-OFF, what fastboot commands will I need to input to lock it while S-OFF remains unchanged and does not go S-ON after locking?
When I locked the bootloader, tampered flag went away by itself too...
I want to lock it ensuring its S-OFF so that it shows locked rather than relocked. What commands will I need to achieve this output?

There is no possible way that happened. When you unlock your bootloader, you don't automaticaly get s-off, and only way to get back to s-on from s-off is with "fastboot oem write secureflag 3" command. You got something very wrong there my friend

with s-off it will be very easy to remove tampered and locked your device by using Guru reset tool , it has aroma ..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2471869
I return back to full stock with no tampered and locked status for at least 3 m7 phones.

^^This
Unlocking the bootloader doesn't set it S-OFF and re-locking it doesn't set it S-ON neither. Its 2 completely different things.
