I have an HTC One on Rogers network. It have flashed TWRP and CyanogenMod. TWRP is v2.7.0.0. It is S-OFF, CID is ROGER001, and HBOOT v1.44. CyanogenMod version is 11-20140308-SNAPSHOT-M4-m7. I need to SIM unlock this phone and everything I've read so far says it needs to be returned to stock excepting one article here:
Seems I can't post the link. It's on mobilesyrup.com entitled HTC One Gains S-OFF Tool to enable SIM Unlock, H-BOOT downgrades and More Geeky Goodness.
Can I SiM unlock as this article says or does it need to be returned to stock? If it does need to be returned to stock, what is the best way to go about this. I've only been able to find a Nandroid backup on CWM for Rogers.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Hey Guys,
So I am need of a bit of help and guidance. I currently have a HTC One 32Gb Silver from T-Mobile (US). I need to return my phone for warranty exchange but so far I have put several different roms, TWRP recovery, perm root, and obv unlocked bootloader. I need to return everything to how it was out of the box. I made a backup of my stock rom way back in May after I unlocked the bootloader. I know generally people would use an RUU but I do not think there is one for T-Mobile US. So I just need some guidance on how to put back factory recovery, and then relock bootloader without T-Mobile it was ever unlocked. I believe this can be achieved thru S-OFF then S-On back on again after you fix the "re-locked" and "tampered". If someone can walk me through how to properly do this and the files I would need I give you huge gratitude.

I can't walk you through the steps, but you'll find more assistance in the T-Mobile HTC One forum. The official T-Mobile RUU is actually available now and can be found here:

I converted my HTC One from Bell to the Google Play edition. The sim unlock code I received is not being accepted. Would I need to revert back to a stock Bell rom in order for it to work?
thanks.

Yes. Thats what i had to do. Seems most have to go back to a stock ROM in order for the unlock code to work. S-off and unlocked bootloader don't matter. Just the ROM part has to be a stock ROM.
I used the odexed one here:

I wish I had read your reply before flashing relocking and flashing the AT&T RUU. It worked though, Now I'm back to the Google Play Edition RUU, unlocked and my phone is now sim unlocked as well. Thanks for the reply!

Questions: I am actually trying to unlock it so I can sell it as I decided on a different phone.
I am completely stock right now on the Stock Google Edition 4.3 Rom, Firmware and Recovery. Phone is still unlocked bootloader and S-OFF.
To do this, I would need to
1) Change CID from the Google one to 11111111 just for flashing back stuff
2) Flash a custom recovery
3) Flash the stock 4.2.2 Rom
4) Unlock
5) Change CID back to the Google One
6) Flash the Google RUU again?
I want to sell it as a converted Google Edition as there is more demand on ebay for it. I will note its converted.
Question
Do I need to flash different firmware before flashing the 4.2.2 rom since I'm on Google Edition 4.3 Newest firmware/radios?
OR
Since I'm going to reset it anyways, would Flashing the BrightstarUS WWE RUU work? Then change CID To Bell One? (Somebody confirm this CID for me?) Then attempt the unlock. Then change CID Back to the Googl001 one, and flash back the Google Edition 4.3 RUU. Would this work? I wish Bell had a RUU.
I have the SIM card for tmobile, I executed the wire trick but it didnt work, it said drinking beer and then testing alcohol level then s-off failed. Im not on stock, and Im confused as to if the bootloader should be locked or not.
I could just pay for the SIM Unlock Code, or just forward that payment to an aspiring dev that may want to help. I bricked my prism trying to flash a rom yet i deleted needed partitions in the custom recovery. Dumbass<
So im just looking for some help, i cant seem to get the RUU on it even though I am ICS in Hboot. The process gives me a error 155 which tells me Im not doing something right beforehand. Any help would be mucho appreciated.
Sketch
I believe that RUU's will refuse to flash if the bootloader is in an unlocked state. Is your bootloader unlocked? (This is separate from having S-OFF).
I hope that this post (below) will help you with the S-OFF. Once you have achieved S-OFF, I believe you can SIM-Unlock your Vivid yourself (the method is in this forum somewhere).

Hello Guys,
I just lost my phone and a friend of mine gave me one that he is not using anymore because he did not know how to unlock it so he bought a new one. Now I have that phone and it happens to be an HTC One M7 from Sprint, it is running Android 5.0.2 with HTC Sense 6.0, Software 6.23.651.10. I booted in recovery mode and it says it is Relocked, S-Off, Hboot is 1.61. Also, there is one option that says simlock and if I click on it then it says SD init fail (within the recovery mode menu).
The phone is rooted, I managed to do it via Kingo App and I just need to get it working in another GSM network, I have been looking for information about this but all I have found is info for when we were back in Android 4.2.3 and tried to go with it but it does not work.
If anyone can please help me find a solution so I can unlock this phone I would really appreciate it.
Been fiddling with this all day. HTC One M7 from Rogers needs to work with other carriers. Bricked itself a year ago during a system update, put SlimRom 4.4 on it and that's been fine until now. I get asked for an unlock code when I put in the new SIM, I bought one and it won't accept it (Phone has been rooted and reflashed, assuming this is why).
I backed everything up. ADB and such is working. I have an Android 4.4 Rogers RUU that I am assuming will let me unlock the SIM once installed. Also assuming S-Off required to install RUU, and attempting to get S-Off. I tried installing Sunshine (by pushing the APK) and Sunshine opens but says I need a more stock-like ROM for it to work. I'm okay with the $25 or whatever it costs, if it works. I installed htc1guru's Rogers nandroid backup in hopes of it being stock enough for Sunshine or a SIM Unlock. Touch Screen no longer works. I can get an OTG Cable tomorrow and attempt to SIM Unlock or Sunshine, if that is the problem.
Am I doing this right?

Can you please post the output of "fastboot getvar all" (remove your imei and serialno before posting). Your touchscreen issue is for sure caused by flashing a guru reset version way much older than your firmware version (btw what was the guru reset version used)?
