I have a problem, stuck at "SONY" screen can't go to recovery mode, can't connect to pc, i did the power+up volume button, turns off but if i turn it on same result stuck at sony... I followed this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2020796 for locked bootloader, i have the att xperia TL.
I flashed the generic 7.0.A.1.303 ftf
Rooted using Bin4ry's method
Install CMW for locked bootloaders
Enter recovery, factory reset wipe and flash the ROM(STOCK ROOTED 7.0.A.3.195)
and when im going to flash the flashable CMW, i cant find it in my ext sd.. i put it with stock rooted 7.0.A.3.195.zip and superuser.zip, it says "file not found" on recovery after i flashed the stock 7.0.A.3.195.zip so i decided to reboot.. and this happened. Is there a fix to this? much appreciated.
Flash the ftf for the TL found in the all in one thread. Then read the thread about rooting the TL

press and hold both the power button and the volume up button untill the phone vibrates several times. (It will vibrate once and then several seconda later vibrate again)
Then flash the ftf for the TL

I've had the same problem with FW 9.1.A.1.140 I've tried repairing trough PCC and SUS but didn't help, so downgraded to .489 and now it's ok

so it must be a bug in the firmware
I think so. Try. 489 maybe it will fix it

Hey guys! My Z has been awesome these past few months and w the recent 4.2.2 update, its been PERFECT. I finally rooted it last week and installed CWM for locked BLs. However I haven't been able to boot to recovery so I downloaded an app called Quick Boot (Reboot ). The thing is, when I selected "boot to recovery", my screen went black and now I can't start my phone!
The LED also does not light when plugged in, and I've tried every possible button combination with no results.
Please help! Thanks!
Try holding power and volume up. You should feel a vibration and the phone should restart.

Hey I tried that, and also all three buttons and power + volume down, but none of them gave any response whatsoever. :crying:
You could try flashing a stock rom with no wipe with flashtool.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2240614
Just grab one of the generic 423 ftf available in the general section. Make sure you follow part 6 of the tutorial regarding keeping your data.

Your phone doesn't need to be booted to use flashtool. Just give it a try. If it doesn't work, you could try doing a repair with SUS - http://www.sonymobile.com/in/tools/update-service/
As for that app, I doubt it has bricked your phone. Any app that has a 'reboot to recovery' option will not work on our device as we do not have a recovery partition. There is a fix for this in the original development section that allows 'reboot to recovery' to function properly.

I didn't know that! Tried both. Flashtool doesnt detect my device...neither does SUS
This is very strange. When you held power and volume up, how long did you wait? You have to hold them for around 15 seconds IIRC.

It sure is... I held it for as long as I could! Same for the other combinations.
I'm out of ideas then. Sorry.

What the hell, I'll try help. If you're in windows 8 you need to install the fastboot drivers booting without driver signing, what os are you on? if you need more help reply or check my profile for my skype user.
Try to push pwr + vol down to enter into flasboot.
You should also try pwr + vol up until the phone vibrates 3 times. That's a hard reboot.

Yup I've done that, but my phone isn't able to enter fastboot mode (Volume down + USB) for both Flashtool and SUS.

fastboot is vol up + usb while device powered off. FLASH mode is vol down. What exactly do you get from the device? Any feedback at all? Backlight? Vibration?
Gosh. This 5 minute rule...

Oops. Well anyway, all of these button combinations haven't worked. No vibration/LED blink whatsoever no matter how long they're held.

Your phone bootloader locked or unlocked? It is convenient for locked bootloaders as there is xzdualrecovery apk. Once I installed the dual recovery apk and click on reboot recovery of the app, it will reboot and straightaway goes into the cwm without having to press the volume key like hell.
After rooting n flashing xz1dualrecovery with the help of pc and then flashing super su 2.00 i am facing strange problems! After a day my phone is not booting in recovery, no vibration or yellow lights during restart! Then after yesterday i saw that its not switching off when i hold power button and then click 'power off' only reboot to safe mode and holding power n volume up is working. Yes i had backed up entire partion via xz1dualrecovery, but after that due to insufficient space i manually delete the backup file from sdcard/clockworkmod/
What do i do? And also tell me please that whether i update 4.4.4 via ota when it come(my phone is rooted, bl locked) ? Thanks in advance...
