Hi guys i just purchased lg g flex and i notice when swtiching apps, like when u open weather then go back to home screen it kinda instead of switching between slowly fades on a home screen u kinda can see the weater info (its faded tho and fades away eventually) does anyone of you noticed this thing?

yeah this is common with this phone, i get it every once in a while but i don't let it get me, and yes the burn in effect does go away within a matter of seconds.

I dont know if any one felt a need for this or not because seems like this app does not exists (Which is not possible)
I am looking for a widget to turn off the screen, I am using SGS and its very annoying to keep pressing power button to turn the screen off. I need a widget on my screen by pressing which it turns the screen off then I can use home to turn on again.

"Screen off widget" by seltzer from the market it costs about 1 dollar from memory its one app i cant do without as turning screen off with cover is pain in arse. it has invisible widget so you can put on homescreen without it looking crap just one tap and screen is turned off..

you may also try "lock screen widget" which is free just touch the icon and the screen is off and locked. its better than using the power key
I tired both Screen off widget didnt work for some reason, however lock screen works the best thanks a lot Taha_e .. You guys are awesome !!
Noticed an issue with Lock Screen. It locks the Screen but not the phone. It drains battery A LOT!

i was texte messaging i the outside where the signal was very bad had screen on 100% and was in go sms and had a white back ground and it started brown in the onder corner and 5sec later was also the space bar brown, and screen was not very bright! i locked scrren and unlocked and was good and much brighter again!
okay 1min later hole keyboardand again brightenest gone (so the down space of screen brown still on the same white back ground! like you make papier look old!
i was like wtf im i crazy or what, turned of screen and on was good again, and the even worst the left haalf of screen was brown (still in sms app) i was comone f*ck^^
and called myu dad to see if i where crazy but i locked and unlocked and was gone again so he could see! i was gone and i didnt have it again can some one tell wtf that was?
i have a new lcd and touch screen when i was replacing the touch screen i broke my lcd so bought a new! original^^ but when i saw that i was like wtf!^^
any one had that before??
i didnt found any thing on gooogle!

my phone has a similar problem, tho mine seems like its burned on the corners and it never goes away, think lg will gimme a new screen if i complain?
forget it, i found out my phone suffers from backlight bleeding XD

Looks as if I'm going to have to join the return game on this device. I've been a very happy TF700 owner on CROMi-X for the last year and still had that WOW effect when I started playing with this tablet.
Until it got dark.... I mean - the attached picture is with the tablet in sleep mode!!!!! That's gotta suck the battery dry like nothing.....
Opened a ticket with Asus for what it's worth...
I'm going to update to 4.3 manually, but don't expect that'll do much.
Does anybody have something similar?
Edit: After about an hour of reading the screen dimmed and had dark shadows on both sides. I flashed the 4.3 update manually since the System Update wouldn't - now everything seems to be fine.
Light bleed gone when in sleep mode and no shadows either... ?????????

Unfortunately it's not resolved to the point that I feel confident to unlock.
I still have have weird and uneven dimming of the screen. Sometimes just part of the screen dims and shows a dark, uneven shadow across it (in reading mode). What I don't understand is, taking a screen shot in that situation shows nothing of the shadow....??
What I consistently see is when the screen times out, it dims just before it turns off, but only on part of the screen (more or less the left half, but fading out from left to right).
Smart Saving is off.. Can't think of anything else to try...
I'd hate to return it, but I think I'll have to - this does not inspire confidence....

Smart saving has nothing to do with smart dimming unfortunately. You can only turn smart dimming off if you are rooted. I'd take it back and get a replacement as what you are seeing is not normal.

Never seen this on any tablet.
To me it seems that some parts of the Led backlight are not working correct or totally not.
Better try to get it swapped or Rma'd ASAP.

I was filling out the Amazon return form and picked it up 'cause I got a notification about new mail - and that's when the digitizer gave up completely.
I was able to wipe my data by hooking it up to the TV and got it to reset with a lot of huntin' and pecking.
A replacement is on it's way. You gotta love Amazon :cyclops:
Sometime I twist my wrist to view the watch and the screen doesn't turn on..so I have to twist my wrist a second time for the watch to react.

same here, it keeps turning on everytime i move my hand, and then sometimes when i want it to turn on it doesn't. I wish i could just deactivate this and use the power button / tap the screen
The answer to this problem is simple. When turning your wrist, simply flick it down with a quick rotation toward yourself and the screen will activate every time. There is nothing wrong with the accelerometer. It is just set to not turn on from random movement.
The wrist flick toward you and down is the key.
Funny mine turns on every time I even move my arm
I returned my first one and the second one is MUCH better.
i would prefer an option to calibrate this behaviour or even disable it^^

Hey guys!
So I'll put a video of my cellphone and how the problem looks like right below.
Last week I installed a few apps from Play Store for studying and after a while the phone screen started to behave with a glitch: It started to flash some vertical lines and sometimes parts of the screen are placed in other places. If I touch the screen where an icon used to be but due to the glitch it is in another place of the screen the app opens normally. Like this glitch is more about an illusion. Sometimes the whole screen can go black or white and then it turns off. Sometimes the colour scheme is inverted. (In the video you can see itbetter)
When I try to turn on the screen again by pushing the Power Button the screen can blink quickly so I can't unlock it.
I saw a lot of things on internet but actually nothing really helped me. I suspected that it was a kind of virus but I changed the ROM 3 times (flashing Android 6.0 Marshmallow, Android 5.0 Lollipop and Android 4.4 KitKat) and the problem still haunts me. When I'm setting the cellphone up the screen is OK and everytime I can open an app this glitch stops. (As you can see in the video) But when I go to the home screen this glitch starts immediatly.
I've heard that it has to do with the battery or it is a hardware problem. But I don't know why this problem only happens in the home screen. On fastboot screen the screen is OK too.
I'm trying this forum really hoping that someone appears with the solution. Thank you so much!
