If you wipe system, then guess what, you just wiped your system.
Hard reset your phone and flash a stock FTF again (Flashtool should work) or repair your phone using pccomapanion.
You will have lost root as well as all other settings etc.
Once you have repaired the phone, install recovery again and try your backup. If you were on .691 with dual recovery, it will fail because it does not mount system.

No.....150 Gb Free Space available !! i am really worried
Also try rebooting and preparing the file again.
Make sure the download is not corrupt by redownloading it.
You can also add it to another drive other than C:\Flashtool
You just then have to browse to it

Then the problem is your FTF. Re-download should fix the problem. A little tips from me:
Try to find an FTF download link which support download resume (like Google docs), and download it using IDM. IDM support md5 checksum, so in case of error download, it will resume the download and checking it's md5sum, so you won't be missed.

While you re-download the ftf, try this
1. Backup your FTF file on C:\flashtool\firmware to another directory
2. Uninstall flashtool
3. Check if folder C:\flashtool has removed, if it still there, delete the folder
4. Reinstall flashtool, now point your installation directory to another drive, example on D: drive
5. Now copy your FTF to D:\flashtool\firmware
6. Reflash

I've already unlocked bootloader and flashed kernel previously..but now i cant?
also i already installed adb drivers
what can i do? any solutions to flash?
Thanks in advance for replie
Ahhh my Eyes.. Please lower your font size!
An Idea is to use SE PC Companion or SEUS to flash back to stock.
Then you hopefully can flash kernels (after unlocking bootloader)
Well, try flashtool 0.2.9.1 version. Yes, it's old but it's working!

I can tell you with full certainty that this is not related. Making a backup only reads data and does not write it and the restore functionality has enough safeguards in place that a hard-brick is virtually impossible .
However I had the same issue a while ago. I was benchmarking and suddenly the device shutdown, couldnt start it anymore just like you while it had plenty of battery left. Also got the same led blinking and flashing results. Had to send it for repair and I got a new one from Sony. I'm afraid you have to send it for repair as well.

If you don't have stock FTF, try this stripped version, which gets the job done.

Try to get into fastboot then flash only stock kernel.sin.

For those those who are willing to downgrade, root and then install its own modified (slightly) system file (Should work for those with locked BL too):

Yes, but you won't be able to root the .254 FW then, because when you go back to .254 you'll have to flash system too, which then eliminates your root acces

If you have the latest version of flashtool, nothing should be going wrong. As your error lies in loader.sin I've no idea what it means but I don't think it's a driver problem, but try anyway to be sure

If you would like to try, I suggest you retry to install the drivers.
You'll need to run the installer located within Flashtool install directory. It seems you are currently run Windows. Assuming you did not change the install path, you can find Flashtool in the root of your local hard disk. Navigate to C:\Flashtool\drivers and then execute the installer there in. Tick "Flashmode drivers" and "Fastboot drivers" cause obviously you'll require it. Scroll down a bit and tick "Common drivers for Viskan board". This will install proper flash drivers.

Afterwards for the exclusive driver for your SP (I am assuming you're on stock), Open PC Companion (install it if you don't have it) then connect your Xperia SP with your cable. This will install the drivers for your SP. If you have done this before, you actually already have the drivers installed.
Note that if above methods are well executed by you, you'll find out on the first connect, flashtool will detect the phone partially and somehow later it disconnects. Don't worry, somehow through this process your computer might be installing additional drivers. Retry to connect your Xperia SP.

NOTE! Before you attempt to use Flashtool, make sure adb daemon is killed, and PC Companion (or Sony Update Service) is closed.

With lbl i like slim kat and cm11s but i have lags with cm11
@zenki1
LOL you must turn off the device, hold the volume button, then plug in, in order to successfully connect your device in flashmode or fastboot.

it's easy to create a nandroid backup in case you want to return to the previous condition. Nandroid backup creates a full backup of your device (literally everything, kernel, /boot, /data, /system) for you to restore in some manner of time. Nandroid backup makes it useful when you're looking forward to test a ROM, or just to do some quick jumps through other ROM, without losing anything and saves a lot of time.
Well, it is far more easier to jump across ROM if you find a ROM unsuitable. For instance, AOKP didn't work well for you, you can again reboot to recovery (normally vol + during phone startup), wipe everything, and flash another ROM zip file. Most ROM will include recovery with them so this will not be a problem at all.

Yes. As far as I remember it should be adb.exe or something like that. Sorry, I use Linux as a main OS. And I used Flashtool on windows for like, 8 months ago!
